Performance analysis of cellular CDMA system with power control and narrowband interference suppression filter (전력 제어 및 협대역 간섭 제거 필터를 고려한 셀룰라 CDMA 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • performance of the cellular CDMA overlay system is analyzed which shares the same band with existing microwave narrowband system to enhance the spectral efficiency. To suppress the interfreence from narrowband system, we used a linear predicition filter that adopts the adaptive least mean square algorithm. Alalyzing the performance in the Personal Communication Services channel, characterized as a multipath Rician fadng channels, we considered the power control to solve the near-far problem, and-off and multipath diversity. We also considered interleaving and channel coding to improve BER performance of the CDMA system.

  • DTN(Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networks)은 노드의 불규칙적인 움직임으로 인한 연결단절과 불안정한 연결 상태를 극복하기 위해 효율적인 포워딩 전략이 필요하다. 제시하는 알고리즘은 노드의 속도, 방향 등의 상황정보를 활용하며 이를 통해 이후의 이동성을 예측하여 포워딩할 중계노드를 선택하기 위한 방법을 고려한다. 본 논문에서는 중계노드들의 상관관계를 분석하여 안정된 경로를 제공하기 위해 노드의 상황정보를 예측하는 EPCM(Efficient Prediction-based Context-awareness Matrix) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 위해 상황 매트릭스라는 상황 분석 도구를 사용하여 시간에 따라 상황정보를 저장하고, 변화의 추이를 분석하여 노드의 속도, 방향 등의 정보를 예측하는데 활용된다. EPCM 알고리즘은 예측된 상황정보를 활용하여 노드 간 미래의 연결성을 분석하고 중계노드를 선택함으로써 안정된 포워딩 경로를 제공할 수 있고, 불필요한 포워딩으로 인한 자원 낭비를 방지할 수 있다. 제안하는 알고리즘을 시뮬레이션 해본 결과 예측된 상황정보의 값이 실제의 값에 대하여 약 2%내의 오차율을 나타내어 예측의 정확도를 확인하였다.

  • 이동체의 위치를 기반으로 하는 다양한 응용 어플리케이션들은 그 영역을 점차 확대하고 있다. 위치를 기반으로 한다는 것은 이동체의 현재위치 뿐만 아니라 과거 및 미래 위치에 대한 예측을 모두 포함한다. 이런 이동체의 위치를 효율적으로 적용할 수 있는 분야가 이동체의 위치 기반 라우팅 분석 이다. 이는 특정 이동체의 과거 위치 궤적, 실시간 현재 위치 추적, 그리고 지도정보와 결합된 최단 및 최적 경로 산출 등의 다양한 분야를 포함한다. 본 논문에서는 이런 위치 기반 라우팅 서비스를 웹 서비스 환경으로 확장한 내용을 언급한다. 웹 지리정보시스템은 사용자에게 친숙한 방법으로 지리, 속성데이터의 디스플레이 및 분석 등 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 이는 위치기반 라우팅 서비스를 웹 지리정보시스템과의 결합하여 분산 웹 환경에서 효율적으로 라우팅 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 구조를 서술한다. 이동체의 위치는 GPS 기반의 획득 방법으로 얻어지고 지리정보와의 맵 매칭을 통해 실세계의 좌표로 변환하게 된다. 또한, 대용량 위치 데이터를 엑세스 하기 위한 메모리와 기억장치 간의 효율적인 데이터 엑세스 기법이 제시된다. 위치 기반 라우팅 분석의 결과물은 웹상에서 제공되기 위해 XML 기반의 웹 서비스 데이터로 변형된다. 이를 위한 XML 기반의 지리정보 데이터 스카마인 GML 의 적용 기술을 언급한다.

  • The cultured stain fungus isolated firstly from discolored wood of Pinus rigida was inoculated on wood blocks to investigate the invading pathway of the fungus. The inoculated fungus rapidly colonized in the ray parenchyma and moved radially along them. In process of time the fungus penetrated tracheids where it started to move into vertical direction. After 90 days the fungus colonized all over the wood tissue, therefore some cell lumens were filled with full of hyphae. In addition methanol extracts did not affect the invading pathway of the stain fungus.

  • This paper presents acquisition algorithm and an improved detection technique for the DS/CDMA (direction sequence code division multiple access) RAKE receiver in multipath fading channel. The DS/CDMA systems use the RAKE receiver, an accurate code acquisition is required for the RAKE branches. The algorithmis able to findthe pseudonoise (PN) code delay estimates for the RAKE branches in a multipath fading channel. In this paper a numerical method and computer simulation simulation have been developed for the acquisition system. The detection probability and mean acquisition time are investigated asa performance measure of the system using the Monte Carlo method. And also in order to analyze the effect of the acquisition on the RAKE receiver this paper bring out the effect of integration time, doppler frequency, processing gain and the number of users on the acquired code phase.

Mobility Support Scheme Based on Machine Learning in Industrial Wireless Sensor Network (산업용 무선 센서 네트워크에서의 기계학습 기반 이동성 지원 방안)

  • Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks (IWSNs) is exploited to achieve various objectives such as improving productivity and reducing cost in the diversity of industrial application, and it has requirements such as low-delay and high reliability packet transmission. To accomplish the requirement, the network manager performs graph construction and resource allocation about network topology, and determines the transmission cycle and path of each node in advance. However, this network management scheme cannot treat mobile devices that cause continuous topology changes because graph reconstruction and resource reallocation should be performed as network topology changes. That is, despite the growing need of mobile devices in many industries, existing scheme cannot adequately respond to path failure caused by movement of mobile device and packet loss in the process of path recovery. To solve this problem, a network management scheme is required to prevent packet loss caused by mobile devices. Thus, we analyse the location and movement cycle of mobile devices over time using machine learning for predicting the mobility pattern. In the proposed scheme, the network manager could prevent the problems caused by mobile devices through performing graph construction and resource allocation for the predicted network topology based on the movement pattern. Performance evaluation results show a prediction rate of about 86% compared with actual movement pattern, and a higher packet delivery ratio and a lower resource share compared to existing scheme.

A Compatibility Study Between New Allocation to Maritime Mobile Satellite Service and Earth Exploration Satellite Service in X-band (X 대역 해상이동위성업무 추가 주파수 분배를 위한 지구탐사위성업무와의 양립성 연구)

  • In this paper, we present the compatibility study results including the frequency sharing criteria between new allocation to maritime mobile satellite service and Earth exploration satellite service in the 7/8 GHz. The transmitting Earths station of MMSS in the 8025 - 8400 MHz band would make harmful interference to the receiving Earth station of EESS operating in the same frequency band. In order to ensure the compatibility with EESS, the separation distance is provided as a frequency sharing criteria. The republic of Korea has a plan to launch the geostationary satellite around 2017 and EESS Earth station will be operated in 8025 - 8400 MHz band. Therefore, we calculate the interference levels and separation distance using the system parameters of two Earth station systems. As results of the study, the separation distances for LOS path and Non-LOS path due to the geographical characteristics are shown around 471 km and 200 km, respectively.

Effectiveness Assessment of Additional Gate Installation at a Railway Station: Case Study at Gwang-Myeong Station (철도역 출입구 추가설치 시 효과 평가: 신안산선 광명역 사례를 중심으로)

  • When constructing railway stations, gates shall be located in appropriate locations for convenient use. However, to reduce construction costs, the number of gates was minimized and the location was not appropriately placed to the direction of many users. This study proposed a method to calculate the benefits of additional gate installations using the improvement of pedestrian traffic flow, occupied area and travel time as economic effects. In particular, a method of estimating the percentage of people using certain gates and the number of people by route within the station was proposed. This method was applied to analyze the effect of additional gates to Gwang-myeong Station on the Shinansan Line, which is to be opened in 2025. The effect has only improved in mobility. The first year of its opening was estimated at 5.91 billion won for mobility and 75.8 billion won for cost, and the B/C was 1.21 for 30 years after its opening. It is expected that this method will be applied to systematic effect analysis when additional gates are installed at unopened railway stations as well as existing railway stations.

Prediction of drowning person's route using machine learning for meteorological information of maritime observation buoy

  • In the event of a maritime distress accident, rapid search and rescue operations using rescue assets are very important to ensure the safety and life of drowning person's at sea. In this paper, we analyzed the surface layer current in the northwest sea area of Ulleungdo by applying machine learning such as multiple linear regression, decision tree, support vector machine, vector autoregression, and LSTM to the meteorological information collected from the maritime observation buoy. And we predicted the drowning person's route at sea based on the predicted current direction and speed information by constructing each prediction model. Comparing the various machine learning models applied in this paper through the performance evaluation measures of MAE and RMSE, the LSTM model is the best. In addition, LSTM model showed superior performance compared to the other models in the view of the difference distance between the actual and predicted movement point of drowning person.
