아이를 가진 임신부의 공통된 고민은 '나중에 원래 몸매로 돌아올 수 있을까'다. 아이의 건강을 생각해 부족하지 않은, 또 균형 잡힌 영양을 섭취해야 하는 건 당연하다. 그렇다고 몸에 좋다는 것 다 먹다 보면 출산 후 비만으로 고생하지 않을까 걱정도 된다. 아이를 낳고도 날씬한 몸매를 유지하는 연예인들을 보면 더욱 그렇다. "도대체 적당히 먹는 건 어느 정도이지?" 이 까다로운 질문에 참고할 만한 좋은 정보가 있다.

Korean medical libraries have made interlibrary loan active under the korean medical library association since 1969, the sharing acquisition of journals has not been peformed efficiently in the absence of a bibliographic control institute. The medical library of seoul national medical university which is designated to a medical professional information center by korea education academy information developed MEDLIS linking the union catalog and interlibrary loan system and has been operating it in cooperation with the korean medical library association. Two types of questionaries were sent to 350 medical researchers and 160 medical librarians to investigate the realities of domestic and foreign medical information institutes, develop sharing systems and find a solution for sharing systems. Also, some analyses for the recent state of duplicate subscriptions, interlibrary loan, demands for system operations un the basis of the statistics of MEDLIS users were made. The result showed that medical researchers and medical librarians are affirmative for MEDLIS, users need a convenient interlibrary loan system and medical librarians agree to activate interlibrary loan. It also showed that sharing acquisition of journals seemed to be realizable for medical librarians, although there was no intention to improve the centralization of interlibrary loan among them. From the findings, a plan for sharing acquisition of journals established by the sharing acquisition committee under korea medical libraries society and national 8 local centers to play a key role in it was made. Also, a proposal for the establishment of an information center for controlling korean medical bibliographies was suggested. This system will be expected to contribute to make users to acquire materials more effectively and save the national budget.

With the explosive increase in the number of online medical documents, the demand for question-answering systems is increasing. Recently, question-answering models based on machine learning have shown high performances in various domains. However, many question-answering models within the medical domain are still based on information retrieval techniques because of sparseness of training data. Based on various information retrieval techniques, we propose an answer snippet retrieval model for question-answering systems of medical documents. The proposed model first searches candidate answer sentences from medical documents using a cluster-based retrieval technique. Then, it generates reliable answer snippets using a re-ranking model of the candidate answer sentences based on various sentence retrieval techniques. In the experiments with BioASQ 4b, the proposed model showed better performances (MAP of 0.0604) than the previous models.

지식 정보의 확산에 따라 기존 전문분야 용어집에 수록되지 않은 용어의 수가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다 이에 따라 용어집을 자동으로 구축하는 작업이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 의학분야 코퍼스에서 주어진 전문용어에 대한 정의문을 자동으로 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 우선, 정의문의 구문적 패턴과 용어의 어휘구성 패턴을 이용하여 용어의 상위개념을 추정한다. 상위개념별로 구축된 특성 어휘 목록을 이용하여 구문적 패턴으로 뽑힌 문장에 등장하는 어휘의 적합성 여부를 판단하여 정의문을 추출한다. 실험 결과 코퍼스에 정의 정보가 있는 48개의 용어에 대하여 71.43%의 정확률을 보인다.

This study aimed to investigate the current uses of subheadings that appear in medical science journal abstracts and to discuss its potential implications for medical science from the perspectives of library and information science. To conduct this study, the following nine sub-fields in medical science were selected: cancer, ethics, genetics, infectious disease, neurology, pediatrics, immunology, psychiatry, and cardiology. Random sample data were drawn based on the years 2010 to 2015 from the PubMed database. This study investigated the extent of the uses of subheadings, variants of subheadings, and common formation of subheadings with the help of a frequency analysis. The specific findings of this study are summarized as the following: 1) more traditional abstracts are used across almost all sub-fields of medical science; 2) on average, 4.1 subheadings were used in the sample dataset; and 3) the most frequently used set of subheadings is OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS, and CONCLUSIONS. This subheading set appears to be the de facto standard across all medical science journals. The analysis of subheadings in structured abstracts and the issues raised in this study can be beneficial for journal editors and other academics in medical science as well as library and information science.

In Korea, more than half of medical libraries are small.sized hospital libraries operated under the single.librarian system, and it is keenly required to establish collection management policies for exchanging resources with other libraries and maintaining consistency. however, it is rare to set up their collection management policies on the web among the domestic medical libraries. Thus, this study purposed to survey cases of collection management policies in domestic and foreign medical libraries and to provide basic information and ideas for Korean medical libraries that are preparing collection management policies. As long as core requirements are satisfied, collection management policies do not have a way. Thus, this case study is expected to provide useful ideas to medical libraries developing their collection management policies. For this purpose, we selected 12 survey items based on previous studies, and investigated one domestic and five foreign medical libraries, and analyzed collected data. Based on the results of analyzing the cases, we suggested 12 guidelines.

The Korean Medical Journal (1930-1937) is the first Korean medical journal published by The Korean Medical Association, which Korean doctors established to resist Japanese medical organizations during the Japanese colonial period. Using the bibliometric research method for The Korean Medical Journal, this study aimed to analyze the journal as follows. First, the study analyzed the subject trends of medical research by extracting the MeSH terms from the title of the articles. Next, the study identified characteristics of authors, type of language used in the papers, publication year and countries of references included in the papers. Also, this study identified the researchers' interests by analyzing the frequency of keywords appearing in the roundtable titles. As a result of the research, infections, pathological symptoms and diseases of the digestive system were studied most often. Most authors belonged to Severance Union Medical College, and internal medicine and general surgery departments had the most authors. Most of the titles and texts of the papers were written in Korean and Chinese characters in combination. Of the 131 papers, only 40 contained abstracts, 22 of which were English abstracts, the most number. The study analyzed 1,103 references in the papers and found that the authors mainly cited the latest journals published in Japan, Germany, and the United States. The topics discussed the most in the roundtable talks were tuberculosis, neurasthenia, and gonorrhea in order. This research examined the history of the publication of The Korean medical journal. Also, it showed that Korean doctors accumulated their academic medical research results and contributed to improving medical conditions.

This study aimed to analyze the research trends of journal articles published by medical schools representing Korean modern. A total of 682 were selected from two journals published by Medical College in Keijo and Keijo Imperial University Medical Faculty. In results, the affiliations of authors who participated in Acta Medicinalia in Keijo included various schools and hospitals, and the authors' major was found to be similar in basic medicine and clinical medicine. In The Keijo Journal of Medicine, only school-affiliated authors participated, and 96.33% of the authors were majors in basic medicine. Co-occurrence network analysis was conducted on MeSH terms from the title of the article using MeSH on Demand, and the keyword that derived in both journals was 'erythrocytes', which analyzed the condition of red blood cells according to organs and diseases. In frequency analysis, a common area of research in both journals was the study focusing on blood and blood cells, and the study of anemia and tuberculosis, which were prevalent diseases at the time. As for comparing each journal, Acta Medicinalia in Keijo has focused on inflammatory diseases and clinical pathological studies in humans, and The Keijo Journal of Medicine has focused on anatomical studies on animals and pharmacological studies on medicines. Through this study, it was possible to identify the research topics and major keywords in two medical schools with different founding goals.

Medical libraries in Korea consume most of their budget and efforts of staffs for acquisition and administration of foreign medical journals. Annualy the rise in prices of the journals oppress the library budget. Because of these reasons, this paper studied and analyzed the possibility of cooperative acquisition of foreign medical journals between the medical libraries in Korea and several basic informations for cooperative acquisition by citation analysis method. The 5 source medical school journals were selected from our country's medical school journals: Seoul, Yonsei, Catholic, Chonnam, Kyungbook.
