본 논문은 1930년에 창간하여 당시 한국인 의학연구집단의 중심적 학술 커뮤니케이션 장을 담당하였던 조선외보에 대하여 연구하였다. 먼저 조선의 보가 출현하게 된 배경으로써 한국에 서양근대의학이 도입되어 교육되는 과정을 살피고, 1930년 이전까지 의학자집단에 형성과 소식지 및 학회지의 발간 사항을 살펴보았다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 조선의보의 발간에 미친 직·간접적인 영향을 찾아보고자 하였다. 또한 조선의보로 발간하였던 조선의사협회의 결성과 그 성격에 대하여 언급하였으며, 본격적 의학 학술지로써의 조선의보의 면모에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 아울러 이 저널에 게재되었던 논문을 분석하여 당시 의학적 관심과 핵심적인 의학 연구자 집단을 구성해보았다.

고령화 시대에 있어서 노인복지시설을 이용하는 많은 노인들이 본인의 의지와 관계없이 일반적으로 경험하게 되는 건강관리 관련 프로그램은 대체의학과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 대체의학을 노인관련 의료복지에 적용함으로써 노인성질환에 대한 예방과 치료에 활용하고 치료를 통하여 노인의료복지의 수준을 제고하는데 노력을 할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문은 노인들의 일상생활에서의 대체의학의 요법을 통해서 포괄적인 건강증진을 위한 실천적 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

There are lots of Web materials in the field of medicine and many search engines classify the medical materials on the Web through directories. But the organization of these directories are wanting in consistency and systematization. In order for manager of search engines to organize medical materials on the Web systematically, this paper suggests several guidelines. NLMC, a special classification system for medicine, need to be applied to develop directories of medicine in search engines. Also, items of the directories should be arranged based on the relevance of subjects among subfields of medical science. For classifying an item to several directories repeatedly, clear criteria should be established. In addition to, controlled vocabularies or glossaries for medicine such as MeSH and the English-Korean, Korean-English Medical Terminology Collection should be used for selection of the name of items in medical directories.

Various controlled vocabularies such as thesaurus and classification used for effective information retrieval contain different terms in expressing the same concept or meaning. National Library of Medicine has developed the Unified Medical Language System(UMLS) to solve the problems of information retrieval and integration resulted from the difference of concepts between different sources. The UMLS development was initiated in 1982 as a long-term project, and the 2001 edition of the UMLS consists of three parts : Metathesaurus, Semantic Network, and SPECIALIST Lexicon. This paper reviews background and structure of the UMLS including applications in PubMed, NLM Gateway.

본 논문에서는 모발내에 있는 약 30여가지의 생체 미네랄과 8가지의 중금속 정보 분석을 통해 생체내에 양양상태의 과잉, 결핍 및 불균형 상태를 평가하고, 그 결과가 현재 생체에 미치는 영향을 예측하여, 건강을 유지하는 방향을 제시할 수 있는 의료용 지능적 의학진단 시스템을 구축하였다. 이 논문에서는 생체내 미네랄 정보를 다중 퍼지규칙베이스 시스템으로 구축함으로써 환자에게 보다 효율적으로 치료와 예방방법을 제시할 수 있는 의학진단시스템을 구축하였다.

The objective of this study was to describe specific approaches for data extraction from graph when statistical information is not directly reported in some articles, enabling data intergration and meta-analysis for quantitative data synthesis. Particularly, meta-analysis is an important analysis tool that allows the right decision making for evidence-based medicine by systematically and objectively selects target literature, quantifies the results of individual studies, and provides the overall effect size. For data integration and meta-analysis, we investigated the strength points about the introduction and application of Adobe Acrobet Reader and Python-based Jupiter Lab software, a computer tool that extracts accurate statistical figures from graphs. We used as an example data that was statistically verified throught an previous studies and the original data could be obtained from ClinicalTrials.gov. As a result of meta-analysis of the original data and the extraction values of each computer software, there was no statistically significant difference between the extraction methods. In addition, the intra-rater reliability of between researchers was confirmed and the consistency was high. Therefore, In terms of maintaining the integrity of statistical information, measurement using a computational tool is recommended rather than the classically used methods.

The present study is aimed at the comparative evaluation of several CD-ROM MEDLINE versions for biomedical information retrieval and searching. The CD-ROM MEDLINE has recently been introduced in Korea and is actively using for health and medical professionals as an effective delivery tool of biomedical information. And this evaluative study revealed some different advantages and disadvantages in searching information among several CD-ROM MEDLINE versions. The present study also provides some findings of CD-ROM user's information seeking behaviors.

최근 방대해진 의료 정보 관리와 통합을 위해 다양한 전자기록 시스템이 개발되어왔다. 이 중에 EMR(Electronic Medical Record)은 병원 내의 의료 정보를 전산으로 처리하는 것이다. 이때 많은 의학 용어가 사용되는데 이것을 체계적으로 지원하기 위해 SNOMED(Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine)와 같은 용어 체계가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 용어 체계를 위해 의학 용어를 자동으로 구축하는 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 제안한 시스템은 웹 마이닝을 통해 자동으로 웹에서 데이터를 수집하고 분류해서 의학 용어 데이터를 구축하게 된다.
