A scale measuring the career decision-making styles(Harren, 1984) and career maturity(Crites, 1978) was administered to 223 university students around the capital city. The data were analyzed using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ tests, means, standard deviations, One-way MANOVAs, and Multiple Discriminant Analyses. The results of this study were as follows: 1. There was not significant difference by gender in career maturity. But there were significant differences by grade and SES in career maturity. Freshmen and Senior exhibited higher career decision-making attitude than sophomores and juniors. High-SES group showed higher career decision-making attitude and lower career independence. 2. There were significant differences by career decision-making styles in career maturity. 51.1% of our samples were rational decision-making styles, 30.0% of our samples were intuitive decision-making styles, and 18.8% of our samples were dependent decision-making styles. Undergraduate students with rational decision-making styles showed more positive career choice behavior and higher career independence than undergraduate students dependent decision-making styles.

The overall repurchase intention was M=3.73 and SD=0.80. In correlations among value consciousness, purchase behavior and repurchase intention, positive correlations were confirmed (p<0.01). In terms of the influence of value consciousness on purchase behavior (aesthetics, conformity, effectiveness), 'aesthetic-pursuit factor' was the largest. In the effects of value consciousness on the economic aspect of purchase behavior, 'materialistic factor' was the highest. • This study aimed to analyze the relative influence of related variables on the university students' civic consciousness. The study sorted out the data for 1,200 university students from a larger data set collected by Son et al.(2009), and analyzed the data by a hierarchical regression analysis method. The study showed the major results in four aspects. First, personal characteristics and home environment variables had mostly no influence on the students' civic consciousness. Second, on the sub categories of the students' civic consciousness, almost no influence was found in case of the home environment variables on democratic constitution and participation-practice, and in case of the school environment variables on value and attitude. Third, among the home and school variables, parents' attitude(${\beta}$=.228) and professors(${\beta}$=.162) had positive influences on the students' civic consciousness. The results suggest that parents and professors should be the two principal axises in the cultivating process of the students' civic consciousness. Third, on the democratic participation and practice no positive influences were found in any of the social environment variables. Among the social environment variables, politicians(${\beta}$=-.238) and corporations(${\beta}$=-.097) had rather negative influences on the democratic participation and practice. These results raised the question on how school education and social political systems are operated in the democratic manners. Fourth, the study recommends that local government would establish the civic education centers, develop various civic education programs, and provide each school with the programs. The study also recommends that each university would democratize in all the school affairs, and actively implement the civic education for university students as a specialized project.

  • The objective of this study is to empirically examine the effect that social welfare officials' awareness of welfare, who play the core role in delivering public welfare service, has on their sense of duty value and duty efficiency. The implications this study suggests are as follows; First, this study has a meaning in that it empirically proved the social welfare officials' awareness level of welfare. Second, this study provided the specific theoretical basis for the approaches and alternatives for the need to improve social welfare officials' awareness of welfare and operate the desirable welfare policy and system, by examining the effect that social welfare officials' awareness of welfare has on their sense of duty value and duty efficiency. Third, we can find the political implication from this study that welfare policy should be established and operated toward the direction of enhancing equalization effect of welfare system, and minimizing free ride or hampering the will to work, if we intend to improve social welfare officials' awareness of welfare. Fourth, this study presented the need to improve the work system of social welfare officials, through the fact that the shorter their work period is, the lower sense of welfare, duty value and duty efficiency they have. Based on the study results above, we suggest the activation of studies on social welfare officials' awareness of welfare, the need to regularly educate social welfare officials about welfare policy, system and value, the need to improve social welfare officials' positive awareness of welfare and their duty performance through deciding welfare policy toward the direction of enhancing social equality and equalization, and the need to improve social welfare officials' work system.

This study used the data collected by the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) from 2014 through 2016. Participants were surveyed from the 5th grade to the 7th, which belonged to the 1st elementary school cohort panel of the KCYPS. To be used as the data of this study, children should have all information at 3-time points: the 5th grade; 6th grade; 7th grade. The collected data were analyzed with PSAW 18.0 and AMOS statistical program. The participants in this study were 903 males (51.6%) and 847 females (48.4%). The level of self-esteem was 3.29±.51, 3.19±.55, and 3.15±.57 point at 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th grade each. The level of community spirit was 3.12±.52, 3.09±.59, 3.15±.55 point respectively.
