A Study on Sensibility of Formative Properties in Clothing Design (의복디자인의 조형적 특성에 따른 감성연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between the visual sensibility and the decorative design of clothing. 41 kinds of costume samples have been selected from photographs in fashion magazines under detail and trimming, and divided into three types according to line, shape, and form. I have measured these images by using Semantic Differential method. The obtained data were analyzed by factor analysis ANOVA, discriminant analysis, regression analysis and MDS. The results of analysis are as follow; 1. Factor analysis has extracted five factors which consist of decorative design sensibility. These factors are Attractiveness, Hardness and Softness, Rhythm, Decorativeness, Cuteness. 2. There were significant differences in visual evaluation of decorative design and demographics 3. The discrimination among formative designs was closely related to decorative image, especially between line and form. 4. The Image effect on Preference, Buying needs, Riches and Pleasant was consist of complicated sensibility. 5. Evaluative dimensions of decorative design were identified by Simple-Complicated, Cubic -Plane perceptive image differed in degree of similarity in spite of same formative design.

Ergonomic Studies of Arm Shapes and Sleeves : Arm length depending on Arm movements (상지 형태와 의복소매에 관한 인간 공학적 연구(제2보) - 동작에 의한 상지 길이 변화 -)

  • In our previous work using a motion analyzer and 3-dimensional sonic digitizer, the arm shapes for 23 women in their early twenties were classified into three characteristic types. In order to design sleeves, suitable for arm movements for the three characteristic arm shapes, a relationship between arm length variation and shoulder/elbow angles has been investigated for four cases of arm movements (flexion, extension, adduction and abduction). Each arm movement can be characterized by the changes in shoulder angle and the changes in elbow angle at the maximal shoulder angle. In all the four cases of arm movements, the changes of shoulder length and cap height are largest at the maximal shoulder angle. These changes were little affected by changes in elbow angle. The changes in the lower arm length and the difference between cap height and upper arm length are the largest at the maximal elbow angle of the maximal shoulder angle. There is a linear relationship between cap height and shoulder angle during arm movements; thus, in designing sleeves the cap height can be determined from the regression of cap height vs. shoulder angle.

  • 최근 기존 전통산업의 성장 잠재력의 한계를 극복하기 위하여 산업간 융합을 통한 새로운 산업 및 기술을 발굴하려는 다양한 노력들이 산업전반에서 전개되고 있는 실정이다. 특히 의복형태의 컴퓨터로 대표되는 웨어러블 컴퓨터는 섬유 및 의류 기술과 IT 기술과의 산업적 융합의 대표적인 분야라고 할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 새로운 성장 아이템으로 주목 받고 있는 웨어러블 컴퓨터 기술에 관하여 간략히 소개하고, 현재 웨어러블 컴퓨터 산업을 주도하고 있는 기술 접근방법별로 개발 현황 및 기술 동향에 대해 살펴 본 뒤, 웨어러블 컴퓨터 기술의 발전방향에 대하여 전망해 보고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 3차원 인체 데이터 위에 가상 의류를 착장시키는 착장 시뮬레이션 시스템의 구현을 소개 한다. 인체 데이터는 3차원 전신 레이저 스캐너로 계측하였으며 가상의류는 의복의 앞뒷면 촬영 영상으로 하였다. 대상 의류는 원피스, 티셔츠, 바지 등과 같은 비교적 복잡하지 않은 구조의 의류이며, 본 논문에서는 상의 및 원피스의 착장 과정과 바지의 착장 그리고 바지위에 상의를 착장하는 중첩 착장의 과정을 보여준다. 가상 착장 결과로 실제 착장과 동일한 결과를 제공하기 때문에 치수가 자신에게 맞는지의 정보와 착장시의 어울림의 정보가 온라인상에서 육안으로 확인되도록 제공되며, 디지털 의류의 준비도 간단하여, 본 논문의 결과로 새로운 형태의 온라인 의류 판매 방식이 제시될 수 있다.

The Need for Healthy Families Education in Home Economics Subject of High School Students (고등학생의 가정과 교과에서 건강가정에 관한 교육 요구도)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the need for healthy families education in home economics subject. This study also purposed to find new education direction of healthy families education in home economics subjects helpful in leading healthy family life and provide basic data for organizing curriculum suitable to the purpose. The subject of this survey was targeted for 550 girl and boy juniors of high schools located in Seoul and the Capital area, and data were collected through questionnaire survey. The result of this survey is summarized as the following: First, Boy students need for healthy families education in home economics subject of high school students was 3.63, Girl students need for healthy families education in home economics subject of high school students was 3.66. Boy students needed was 'marriage and becoming parents', the highest need, followed by 'methods to talk with families', 'management of nutrition', 'household economy', 'management of clothes and residence', and 'home culture', Girl students needed was 'marriage and becoming parents', the highest need, followed by 'methods to talk with families', 'management of nutrition' 'home culture', 'household economy' and 'management of clothes and residence'. The need for healthy families education in home economics subject of high school students was 3.64, over the middle level. The area students needed was 'marriage and becoming parents', the highest need, followed by 'methods to talk with families', 'management of nutrition', 'household economy', 'management of clothes and residence' and 'home culture'. Second, the need for healthy families education in home economics subjects of high school students based on family background showed significant difference depending on department of school, family type, parents' academic background, parents' occupation and monthly household income.

Trends and Synchronization of Transaction Amounts by Product group of Online Malls in Online Shopping Malls (온라인쇼핑몰에서 Online몰의 상품군별 거래액 동향과 동조화 현상)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify online shopping malls into total transaction amount and transaction amount by product, and compare them to find synchronism. The data used in this study were collected from KOSIS for Food Services, Home Appliances·Electronics·Communication devices, Food & Beverages, House_Goods, Clothing, Computers & Peripheral Devices. The analysis period is a total of 44 monthly data from January 2017 to August 2020. In descriptive statistics, variability is relatively very stable in the case of food service, but is large in the case of clothing. In the correlation analysis, the total transaction amount shows a certain level of correlation with each product. In the analysis of the increase rate, Food Service increased by 1,039%, Home Appliances·Electronics·Communication devices increased by 325%, Food & Beverages increased by 296% and House Goods by 250%, but Clothing decreased slightly to 92.56%. In the Scatter Charts analysis, the distribution of Total transaction amount & House Goods, Total transaction amount & Home Appliances·Electronics·Communication devices is generally upward, showing a high level of synchronization. Due to Corona 19, we will have to continue our efforts to provide speed, stability, convenience and various services in preparation for the increase in transaction volume of online shopping malls.

A Comparison on the Form in Women's Hanbok between the Later Chosun Dynasty and Modern Times- Applying Delong's Dividing System for Apparel Body Construct (조선 후기와 현대의 여자한복 형태 비교 -Delong의 복식형태 분류체계를 적용하여)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate difference and likeness on the form in women's Hanbok between the later Chosun Dynasty and modern times based on Belong's observing system for 'Apparel-Body Construct'. Belong's framework is composed 5 pairs of contrast word -'Closed or Open', 'Whole or Par', 'Planar Separation or Planar integration'. 'Flat or Rounded', and 'Determinate or Indeterminate'. Major findings of this study are as follows. First, the form of women's Hanbok in later Chosun Dynasty is 'Variably Closed', 'Part' and 'Rounded', whereas that in modern is 'Open', 'Whole' and 'Flat' Women's Hanbok of modern is lesser convex, and more open than that of later Chosun Dynasty according to increasing use of transparent textiles. Moreover, in comparison with old style, that of modern has the tendency of perceiving primarily whole feature by organic linkage of parts. Because of loose fit of Jeogori and rigid DongJong etc, characteristic of 'Plat' strengthened in modern Hanbok. Secondly, women's Hanbok in the later Chosun Dynasty and modern has common properties of 'Planar Seperation' and 'Determinate'. Women's Hanbok belongs to 'Planar Seperation', because the effect cognized to figure and ground. can be found between small parts and whole of Jegori, or can be found between the head and face. Jeuori and waist band, and Chima and under ware. Further more. it can be classified into 'Determinate'. because it use textiles which have no pattern un it or which show a subtle surface effect by texture changing.

Consumer Intention to Purchase Domestic/Foreign Brand Jeans;Beliefs, Attitude, and Individual Characteristics. (국내 및 외국 상표 청바지의 구매의도에 따른 평가기준에 대한 신념과 추구이미지 및 의복태도의 차이연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors that might distinguish those who have a high level of Intention to purchase each of domestic, foreign designer and national brand jeans from those who have a low intention in terms of evaluative criteria belief, ideal jeans image and clothing altitude. The sample consisted of 198 male and 197 female students from five universities in Seoul. The questionnnaire consisted of 50 seven-point semantic differential scales dealing with evaluative criteria and ideal jeans image, beliefs about and intention to purchase domestic, foreign designer and foreign national brand jeans and 25 Likert type clothing attitude scales. Based on a series of t-tests the results showed that color and design were the most influencing factor among the evaluative criteria belief, regardless of brand type, while durability, accessory, sewing were the least. Sexy image, brand consciousnees and fashion interest were the important factor that distinguish high intention to purchase group fro)m low intention to purchase group.

Care Labels and Consumer's Care Behavior of Hat Products (모자제품의 레이블과 소비자 관리행동)

  • This study set out to identify the problems with hat labels and to search for improvement measures by examining and analyzing consumers' practice of managing their hats. It also intended to provide accurate and enough information about how to keep and wash hats and thus help consumers use their hats for a long period. In an attempt to investigate how consumers wash and manage their hats, a survey was carried out to 395 individuals in their twenties and over who owned hats living in urban areas including Seoul, and were quota sampled according to age and gender. The survey period is March to April 2007. The collected data were statistically treated with the SPSS 12.0 program in terms of frequency, percentage, mean, standard error, cross tabulation, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The findings were as followed. First, the respondents were in the average level of perceiving and practicing the washing methods of their hats. The female respondents who had more experiences with laundering than the males knew and practiced the washing methods for hats better than males. Second, compared to other clothing items, hat wearers were more likely to pay careful attention to their hats by putting their hats in a laundry net and applying a laundry detergent for wool fabrics when using a washing machine or washing their hats with their own hands. And third, most of the hat wearers were aware of the importance of hat labels and showed a lower level of trust in them than other clothing items. The suppliers need to offer accurate and practical labels in order to regain the consumers' trust. Many consumers had some difficulties figuring out the size system of hats. In particular, the male consumers had a low level of perception of labels, which implies that there should be specific efforts to educate them about general labels.
