20~30대 성인남성의 의복추구혜택에 따른 쇼핑성향, 점포속성중요도, 자기이미지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Shopping Orientation, Importance of Store Attributes, and Self-Image according to the Clothing Benefits of the Adult Males of Twenties and Thirties)

  • The purposes of this study were to segment the men in twenties and thirties according to clothing benefits sought, and to develop a profile of each segment concerning shopping orientation, self·image, and importance of store attributes. The questionnaire was administered to men in twenties and thirties living in Seoul and data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and MANOVA(multivarite analysis of variance). By cluster analysis of clothing benefits sought, three groups were identified and labeled as: (1) the group of focusing the influence of other people and comfort clothing(31.7%): (2) the group of pursuing the fashion trend (48.1%); the group of pursuing the individuality(20.1%). Three groups were then compared through MANOVA on shopping orientation, importance of store attributes, and self-image. Significant differences were found among three groups on three variables. In general, the group of focusing the influence of other people and comfort clothing tended to be ostentatious and tended to wear comfortable clothing. The group of pursuing the fashion trend didn't show specific shopping orientation and just liked to follow the current fashion trend. The group of pursuing the individuality enjoyed the shopping and liked to buy the clothing which enhances the personal character.

경제적 의복 소비자의 복합적 쇼핑 행동 연구 - 쇼핑 성향 및 점포 선택 기준을 중심으로 - (Complex Shopping Behavior of Economic Consumers - Focused on Shopping Orientation and Store Selection Criteria -)

  • The aim of the present study is to investigate the complex shopping behavior of clothing consumer groups classified by the level of economic shopping orientation. Using a self-administered questionnaire, 260 respondents rated their economic shopping orientation, hedonic shopping orientation, convenient shopping orientation, store selection criteria, clothing interest, gender, age, and other demographic characteristics. A total of 248 questionnaires were analyzed. The results are as follows. First, economic consumers showed more hedonic and convenient shopping orientation than uneconomic consumers. In addition, economic consumers valued various store selection criteria. These implied that economic consumers show more complex clothing shopping behavior than uneconomic consumers. Second, as the result of comparing complex shopping behavior of economic consumers and uneconomic consumers by their characteristics such as clothing interest, gender, and age, economic consumers were found to show more complex shopping behavior than uneconomic consumers regardless of the consumer characteristics. Among them, economic consumers with higher clothing interest or in adult age particularly showed more complex shopping behavior. Furthermore, economic consumers with different consumer characteristics showed quite different aspects in their complex shopping behavior. Third, uneconomic consumers showed relatively simple, impulsive, and price-apathetic shopping behavior.

  • This study was attempted to examine male consumers'suit purchasing Behavior of subdivided groups according to apparel shopping orientation in men's suit purchasing and to suggest basic information applicable to marketing. The sample was taken from 705 men who were aged twenties through forties living in and suburbs. A total of 655 questionnaires were used in the final statistical analysis using factor analysis, reliability test, ANOVA, Duncan test, and X$^2$-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The dimensions of apparel shopping orientation were composed of economical, brand/store loyalty, fashion consciousness and convenience shopping orientation. 2. The dimensions of apparel store attributes were composed of atmosphere and service, convenient shopping, fashion and sale promotion, price, quality and reputation. 3. Three groups were classified after group analysis of four factors in male consumers'apparel shopping orientation: group focusing on convenience (47.2%), group focusing enjoyment of shopping(31.0%), and group focusing economic aspects(21.8%). Additionally differences of the three groups were examined according to importance of store attributes, use of information sources, purchasing Behavior, clothing evaluation criteria and demographic variables.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate consumer shopping orientation toward foreign brands in the context of clothing involvement, ethnocentrism, country-of-orion effects and demograpic variables. But in this paper, to begin with, shopping orientation was studyed in connection with ethnocentrism and country-of-orion effects. The questionnaire was distributed to 300 female consumers over twenties living in pusan area and finally 213 data sets were used for statistical analysis.8y factor analysis,5 shopping orientation factors were identified: following to foreign brands, desire for flaunt, preference to domestics, favor to foreign brands and country-of-orion consciousness. By univariate analysis, consumer's disposition of ethnocentrism was studyed and consumers were divided into 3 groups according to disposition of ethnocentrism through fast cluster analysis. Resurts reveled that Korean consumers have strong ethnocenterism. And country-of-orion effects were studyed. Consumers are favorable toward foreign brands and products, especially toward Italy and France goods, except Hongkong and China goods nevertheless strong ethnocentrisuL As a result of canonical correlation analysis about shopping orientation factors and ethnocenterism revealed that ethnocenterism correlated negatively with one factor (following to foreign brands) and positively with another (preference to domestics).

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate consumer shopping orientation toward foreign brands in the context of clothing involvement, ethnocentrism, country-of-origin effects and demograpic variables. Prior to this paper, shopping orientation was studied in connection with ethnocentrism and country-of-origin effects. The questionnaire was distributed to 300 female consumers over twenty years old living in Pusan area and finally 213 data serfs were used for statistical analysis. By factor analysis, 6 clothing involvement factors were identified; fashion interest, symbolism, pleasure interest, inclination to harmony, aesthetic expression and perceived risk. A result of canonical correlation analysis about shopping orientation factors and clothing involvement factors is as follows. Two shopping orientation factors (follow to foreign brands and country-of-orion consciousness) positively correlate with three clothing involvement factors (fashion interest, symbolism and pleasure interest) , and two shopping orientation factors (preference to domestics and country-of-orion consciousness) positively correlate with author clohting involvement factor (percived risk). Anocova procedure revealed that five shopping orientation factors were related to clothing involvement factors, groups according to ethnocentric disposition, country-of-origin effects and demograpics respectively, even though there are some differences. Based on the conclusions, marketing strategies were developed.

판매촉진이용성향에 따른 쇼핑가치 지각 및 소비자만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Perceived Shopping Value and Consumer Satisfaction as related to Consumer′s Deal Proneness)

  • The Purposes of this study were 1) to identify the effects of clothing involvement on deal Proneness, store images related to promotions and perceived shopping value, and 2) to reveal the effects of antecedent variables on the consumer satisfaction. The data were collected from 624 female consumers living in Seoul, Korea via self-administered questionnaires and were analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and path analysis. The results of the study were as follows : (1) Among the factors related to clothing involvement deal proneness, store images of promotions and perceived shopping values, Clothing importance, Shopping interest Fashion interest and all three factors of deal proneness had the effect on perceived hedonic shopping values. Clothing importance, Prudent purchase, Shopping interest store images related to promotions had the effects on perceived hedonic shopping values. And Prudent purchase had the positive effects and store images related to Display had the negative effects on perceived negative shopping values. (2) From the resulted of analyzing the effects of antecedent variables on consumer satisfaction, Sweepstakes/gifts proneness, store images related to Price discount/events and Display, perceived hedonic and utilitarian shopping values positive]y influenced the consumer satisfaction. Store images related to Price discount/events had the most significant effects on consumer satisfaction. From the results of path analysis, clothing involvement had the effects on consumer satisfaction indirectly through deal proneness, store images related to promotions and perceived shopping values.

여대생들의 의복쇼핑성향에 따른 점포속성중요도, 정보원의 이용, 자기 이미지의 차이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Differences of Importance of Store Attributes, Use of Information Sources, and Self-Image according to Apparel Shopping Orientation of the Female College Students)

  • The purpose of this study were (1) to segment the female college students according to apparel shopping orientation and (2) to create a profile for each group with regard to impotance of store attributes, use of information sources, and self-image. The questionnaire were administered to the female college students living in Seoul and data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA(analysis of variance), and MANOVA(multivariate analysis of variance). By cluster analysis of apparel shopping orientation factors, four groups are identified : (1) highly involved apparel shopper (44.34%), (2) brand-loyal shopper (24.43%), (3) planned / practical shopper, and (4) apathetic shopper (18.10%) Four groups were then compared through MANOVA on importance of store attributes, use of information, and self-image. Significant differences were found among four groups on three variables. In general. highly involved shopper tend not to be price conscious, enjoy shopping and use the information sources most actively and apathetic shoppers tend to be indifferent to apparel shopping and do not actively use the information sources.

  • The purpose of this research were to classify college women's clothing shopping orientation and analyze the predictable variables of impulse buying. The results of this research were as follows ; 1. Clothing shopping orientation was classified leisure pursuit, economic, careful and name brand preferring shopping. With reference to leisure pursuit and economic shopping, they were classified into four types, low shopping involved shopping type, economic shopping type, leisure pursuit shopping type, and high shopping involved shopping type. The low shopping-involved and the economic shopping types made much of planned buying. The planned impulse buying, reminder impulse buying, fashion oriented impulse buying and pure impulse buying were highly evaluated in the high-involved and the leisure pursuit shopping types. 3. The high shopping-involved and leisure pursuit shopping types were more likely to do impulse buying than low shopping-involved and the economic shopping types. 4. The most important factor for the four groups was design. Quality, color, utility were followed by design. 5. Impulse buying behaviors of four groups could be predicted by the information source and the marketing stimulus buying.

의복쇼핑성향에 따른 소비자의 유형분석 -대구 여성 거주자를 중심으로- (A Taxonomy of Female Consumers in Daegu)

  • The purpose of the study were to classify apparel shoppers into specific apparel shopping orientation groups and to compare the classified groups on importance of store attributes, information sources, lifestyle activities, and demographic characteristics. The data were obtained from questionnaires filled out by 317 women in Daegu and were analysed by utilizing factor analysis, cluster analysis, and ANOVA. By cluster analysis of apparel shopping orientation factors, three groups were identified: Recreational shopper (48%), Economic shoppers (20%), Apathetic shoppers (32%). The results of ANOVA indicated that the cluster groups are significantly different in importance of store attributes (product assortment and shopping convenience), information sources (marketer-driven and consumer -driven), lifestyle activities (regular activities and activites for self-improvement), and IPmnuraDhic characteristics (age and education).

  • The purposes of this study were to identify shopper types by analyzing clothing shopping orientations and to compare consumer characteristics such as store evaluative criteria, perceived risks in clothing purchase, and demographic characteristics among different shopper types. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing shopping orientations, store evaluative criteria, perceived risks in clothing purchase, and demographic characteristics. The questionnaire was administered to 453 female adults during the fall of 1993. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Clothing shopping orientations were factor analyzed resulting six factors, such as Recreational Shopping, Economic Shopping, Store/Brand Loyalty, Careful Shopping, In- dependent Shopping, and Self-confidence in Clothing Shopping factors. 2. According to the factor scores of recreational shopping factor and economic shopping factor, consumers were segmented into four shopper types: Low Shopping-involved Shopper, High Shopping-involved Shopper, Recreational Shopper, and Economic Shopper. Consumer characteristics such as store evaluative criteria, perceived risks in clothing purchase, and demographic characteristics were significantly different among shopper types.
