This study aims to present the re-structuring strategies of healthcare facilities in Kwang-ju and Jon-nam province for it's competition power in the emerging global health care market. Kwang-Ju city and Jon-nam province have had difficulties in building a balanced healthcare system because of rapidly declining population, weakened healthcare infra-structure and geographical problems of healthcare supply by numerous islands. Now, Kwang-Ju city and Jon-nam province try to be a core place of economy and culture in the west-south asia. To do so, it is fundamentally necessary to reform their current social structure including healthcare system in large scale. This Study presents the current conditions and the problems of healthcare environment in these areas.

소규모의 사회복지 시설들은 대규모의 전문병원들이 갖춘 고 부가가치 전산 시스템들을 갖추고 있지 못하다. 그러므로 소규모의 사회복지시설들은 관리 및 서비스의 질적 향상을 기대할 수 없다. 이로 인해 경영관리와 서비스 차원에서 차이가 발생한다. 소규모에서 관리과 서비스의 향상을 위해 본 연구에서는 소규모 사회복지시설(Silver-town)에 적합한 통합 의료정보 데이터베이스시스템을 설계하여 제안하고자 한다.

This study is to understand the architectural types and characteristics of the medical facilities during ancient period. The study is based on the research of the medical and architectural history. The medical or healthcare facilities are influenced by their social, cultural and conceptual idea, especially how they think about 'disease', 'cure' and the 'medicine'. As the results of the examination of this study can be summarized as followings. Firstly, Ancient medical facilities are classified into four types according to the ideas of 'disease' and 'cure' ; 1) God oriented facility 2) health welfare facility 3) treatment oriented facility 4) practice & educational facility. Secondly, there are three typical types of the spatial characteristics what modern hospitals have ; 1) nursing ward 2) treatment ward 3) hostel or hospice. And they are all assembled around the courtyard in common. Thirdly, their architectures are not 'designed' but 'derived' plan by reasonable other building types, and transformed by medical function. Fourthly, a consideration of the surrounding circumstances is the most important point to make the medical health facilities during ancient period.

본 연구에서는 우리나라 의료서비스의 공간분포에 나타나는 특징을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 의료서비스의 공간적 분포 패턴을 조사하고, 의료 서비스에 대한 수요에 대한 공급의 공간적 패턴 분석을 통하여 의료서비스 공급에 나타나는 공간적 격차문제를 지역간과 지역내의 수준에서 분석하였다. 분석 결과 인구수를 고려한 상태에서도 의료 서비스의 공급이 대도시 및 경제적 중심지에 집중 분포하고, 촌락 및 경제적 주변지역은 크게 미흡한 상태여서 공간적 격차가 매우 심하다. 이러한 공간적 격차는 하나의 도시 내에서도 나타나고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 병원시설의 규모별 분포 수의 관계를 분석하였다. 병원시설의 규모와 분포수의 관계는 기존의 병원시설 입지계획 모형들이 일반적으로 가정하는 계층적 구조보다는 자연계 및 사회 현상의 분포에 일반적으로 나타나는 보편적 질서로 밝혀진 법칙과 유사한 분포 함수를 보인다. 즉, 병원 규모에 따른 분포에 격차가 나타나지 않는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이는 우리나라 의료체계가 3단계로 구분되어 있음에도 불구하고 병원시설의 분포는 규모에 뚜렷한 격차를 나타내지 않는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 병원시설의 규모와 분포 수가 보이는 특징은 의료서비스의 공간적 분포가 보여 주는 특징과 함께 앞으로 바람직한 의료서비스 시설 입지계획을 위한 모형 정립에 유용한 정보로 이용될 수 있다.

장기 등을 적출하거나 이를 이식하고자 의료기관은 보건복지부장관으로부터 장기이식 의료기관으로 지정받아야 하고 의료기관의 시설, 장비, 인력에 관하여 장기별로 별도로 요건을 규정하고 있다.
