그리드는 지리적으로 분산된 컴퓨팅 자원을 하나의 대규모 시스템을 구성하여 사용할 수 있도록 컴퓨팅 환경을 지원하고 있다. 그리드 컴퓨팅의 네트워크 성능을 개선하기 위해선 모니터링이 선행되어야 한다. 그리드 응용은 기존 네트워크 응용과는 다른 특성을 가지며 이를 위한 모니터링 구조도 연구선상에 존재하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모니터링 시스템을 살펴보고 그 문제점을 알아본다. 제안하는 시스템은 그리드 네트워크의 모니터링을 위해 글로버스의 MDS 구조를 이용하며, 제공되어지는 모니터링 스키마 외에 추가적으로 스키마를 구성하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 이를 위해서 추가 정보 제공자를 이용하여 기존 MDS 구조를 사용하도록 하는 방안을 제안하며 향후 연구과제에 대해서도 언급하도록 한다.

XML is a standard markup language for exchange and storage of formed or well-formed information in World Wide Web, Because the source data of XML message for exchange of information in World Woo Web Is stored in legacy database systems. it is necessary the easier connection between XML application and database systems, In Oracle8i. 9i. informix and SQL2000. DBMS vendors extend their DBMSs for XML. This approach for the connection between XML application and database system is Platform-dependent and DBMS-dependent. Therefore it is necessary the platform- and DBMS-independent approach for the connection between XML application and database system, In this paper. we modeled a set of middleware components for relational database design based on XML DTD is modeled, Those components are modeled on object-based algorithm for connection between XML application and database system.

최근 XML 문서가 급증함에 따라 웹-기반 XML 응용 문서의 중요성이 많이 부각되고 있는 실정이다. 웹-기반 XML 응용 문서 중 대표적인 예로 OSD가 있다. OSD는 소프트웨어 패키지와 그들 간의 관계를 정의하는 것이다. UML은 객체지향 표준 모델링 방법으로 객체지향 코드 생성이나 데이터베이스 스키마 생성을 용이하게 해주는 표기법이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 XMI를 이용하여 OSD로 부터 UML 클래스 다이어그램을 생성하는 시스템을 구현한다. 본 연구의 의의는 향후 늘어나는 웹 기반 XML 응용인 OSD의 표준 모델링 방법을 제안함으로써 객체지향 문서 관리의 기반이 되도록 한다.

본 연구는 이동체와 지도정보의 출력을 위한 XML 엔코딩 표준인 GML(Geography Markup Language)을 이용하여 이동체 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. OGC(OpenGIS Consortium) 웹 매핑 기술인 웹맵 서버(WebMapServer) 개념을 응용하여 공간 데이터와 이동체 정보를 통합하며. 통합 과정에서 요구되는 표준화된 데이타 모델과 인터페이스는 OGC가 제안한 표준화된 개념을 사용한다. 데이터는 별도의 응용스키마를 정의하여 적용하였다. GML은 공간데이터와 비공간데이터의 저장과 전송을 위한 XML 엔코딩 표준이므로, 데이터 공유를 위한 확장성 및 상호운용성을 확보할 수 있다.

본 논문은 객체 모델링 기법을 이용하여 다단계 보안 데이터베이스 응용에 대한 구조적 특징을 표현하기 위한 모델을 제시한다. 즉, 응용 영역에 대한 데이터와 보안 의미르 통합한다. 이는 응용 영역의 데이터에 대한 불법적 유출이나 수정을 방지하는 도구가 된다 . 개발한 도구를 기초로 한 구현 모델에서는 다단계 데이터베이스를 단일 보안등급 데이터베이스들로 분해한다. 인스턴스뿐만 아니라 스키마도 보호하며 속성값 다중 인스턴스화 기법을 이용하여 커버 스토리를 표현한다. 그리고 그 모델에서의 생성, 검색, 삭제, 그리고 갱신과 같은 연산 의미를 설명한다.

Recently mobile broadcast standards that have IP layer between transport layer and service layer such as DVB-IPDC, OMA-BCAST have been commercialized. Specially, IP abstract layer of OMA-BCAST makes it possible to interface diverse transport layers. Service guide, that is important for user interface, of these mobile broadcast standards has complex structure and heterogeneous schema. ESG schema is not interoperable, therefore terminals should have various implementations of service layer to support more than one service layer at a time. In this paper, not only for enabling interoperability of DVB-IPDC and OMA-BCAST but for supporting basic scenarios of mobile broadcast, simple ESG schema was developed. This new schema can be used as an independent ESG schema, especially for the integrated mobile broadcast middleware environment.

As the amount of data on the web increase, it is difficult to search what we want exactly. Therefore, much researches are attempted to search web resources efficiently. So, W3C established the standard that give meanings to resources on the web using RDF metadata. The RDF metadata had been mainly described a document data on the web. But it is difficult to create automatically the metadata for application programs than the document data. This paper proposes a method to use RDF metadata to search application programs. Firstly, we define RDF data model that stores the information of the application programs and RDF schema that references the RDF data model. And we design a prototype system to search application programs. This system meets expectation, getting the application to fullfill the needs of user, and has the efficiency of the searching function.

This paper is to construct a healthcare database using information obtained from healthcare home environments, and use this one for healthcare home services, Especially, our researching focus in this paper is how to design healthcare database scheme and how to use this constructed database on the Framework for Supporting Healthcare Integrated Service(FSHIS) we developed previously. Healthcare information is designed to database schemes in accordance to the specific save types of the data collected from various typed-sensors. The healthcare database constructed by using this information for the purpose of healthcare home services is divided into the base information with real schemes and the context based information with view schemes. Firstly, the base information includes low data obtained from physical sensors relevant to locations, healths, environments, and the personnel healthy profiles. The other is the context based information that is produced and fused by using the based information. This context based information might be got via various view schemes according to healthcare application services. Finally, for verifying the practical use of healthcare database constructed in this paper, Via interconnecting this database to our FSHIS, we show an example of healthcare home monitoring service using information (basic and context based information), emergency call, home appliance control, and so on needed from living activity area for elderly living alone.

X.500 Directory is an application level protocol in the Open Systems Interconnection(OSI) 7 layer's reference model adopted by the international Standards Organization (ISO). It manages effectively needed information for the communication service, and is a service to support the functions that the user can approach conveniently. Tourist information is distribution on several locations. The access of distributed information is similar to X.500 directory service. Therefore, we design of Tourist Information System(TIS) and directory schema using X.500 directory services. To define tourist information, we also propose Directory Information Tree(DIT) of locality architecture and several new object classes, such as museum, mountain, sea, hotel, etc.

XML is widely used in various applications as the standard for representing and exchanging data on the Web. XML Schema is the standard schema for XML and an XML document generated based on the XML Schema is called 'Valid XML document'. The XML Schema validity should be guaranteed after the XML document is updated. In this paper, we design an efficient method that verifies XML Schema validity before update, and so eliminates unnecessary validations. Also, we propose validation algorithms for each update. In addition, we propose the mapping between XML data and XML Schema and a storage method for XML Schema in order to efficiently extract the schema information for the validation. Finally, we compare the performance of the validation according to the storage methods.
