The game market has not only grown in size of the 10 trillion won but also the form and function of game use. Serious game combines the educational purpose and the fun of the game and develops it so that contents such as national defense. In this study, we analyze the cases of five application areas for the activation of serious games, and develop factors that the serious game should have, we want to see what the characteristics are and how important it is. The results of analysis show that it was analyzed that most serious games of application field were developed as 'experiential games' such as education, learning, experience, and simulation. This means that it is very effective to develop a serious game in consideration of the characteristics that a potential user should prefer a sensible game as well as a clear goal of a serious game in game development.

본고를 통해 초고주파 이론과 공학 분야는 물론 물리학, 재료공학의 기초 학문 분야에서도 지대한 관심을 모으고 있는 Metamaterial(MTM) 구조에 대해 조명하고자 한다. 먼저 MTM의 핵심이라고 할 수 있는 Left-Handedness(LH) 왼손 전파 법칙과 LH 발생 재질인 Double Negative(DNG) 재질에서의 전파 특성을 상대 유전율과 상대 투자율 평면에서 확인하고, 일반 매질인 Double Positive(DPS)형인 오른손 전파 법칙 Right-Handedness(=RH) 매질과의 결합(Composite Right-and Left-Hnaded=CRLH)에서 얻어지는 특징들을 살펴본다. 특히 DPS와 DNC의 결합에서 얻을 수 있는 음의 공진과 0차 공진(Zero-Order Resonance)을 언급하고 ZOR을 응용한 RF 부품의 소형화와 특성 개선사례를 소개한다. 또한, 안테나와 전자파 산란 특성에 MTM의 특수한 성질을 이용하여, 크기를 줄이거나 표면파를 억제하거나 혹은 방사 개구를 확대 또는 렌즈 특성을 얻어낸 사례도 언급된다 그리고 LH 특성은 아니지만 MTM 계열인 ENG(Epsilon Negative), MNG(Mu Negative), ENZ(Epsilon Near Zero)를 응용한 예들을 보이고, MTM 관점에서 FSS(Frequency Selective Surface )의 특성을 논의하고, 그간에 발표된 대표적 MTM 연구 결과에 대한 소개를 마치고자 한다.

IMO(International Maritime Organization)에서는 2019년부터 e-Navigation 전략을 이행하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. e-Navigation 전략 이행에 따라 해양 분야에서도 소프트웨어의 사용도와 품질의 중요성이 높아질 것으로 예상된다. 중소조선연구원에서는 이에 대한 대응으로 해양 임베디드 소프트웨어 사용성 평가 시험절차를 개발중이다. 본 논문에서는 해양 임베디드 응용 소프트웨어 사용성 평가 시험절차와 산출물 사례에 대해 기술한다.

Organizations have many physical servers in their departments such as application servers, web servers, database servers, mail servers, and so forth. The problem of server sprawl is common in information system centers of most profit and nonprofit organizations. Server sprawls are characterized by the use of dedicated servers for single applications. This server sprawl causes the problems such as the low resource utilization, the large space consumption, and the high management cost. Server consolidation is crucial to solve these problems by providing savings in hardware, software, maintenance, facility, and labor costs. This paper proposed a method to implement server consolidation for public organizations by the NDMS(National Disaster Management Systems) case study.

본 고에서는 멀티 응용 데이터 플랫폼으로 진화하고 있는 하둡(Hadoop) 2.0의 주요 특징과 관련된 다양한 데이터 처리 프레임워크들에 대해서 기술하고자 한다. 기존의 맵리듀스(MapReduce) 기반의 배치 처리(Batch Processing)에 최적화되어 있던 하둡 1.0과는 달리, YARN의 등장과 함께 시작된 하둡 2.0 플랫폼은 다양한 형태의 데이터 처리 워크플로우들(Batch, Interactive, Streaming 등)을 지원할 수 있는 기능을 제공하고 있다. 또한, 최근에는 고성능컴퓨팅 분야에서 주로 활용되던 기술들도 하둡 2.0 플랫폼에서 지원되고 있다. 마지막으로 YARN 어플리케이션 개발 사례로서 본 연구팀에서 개발 중에 있는 Many-Task Computing (MTC) 응용을 위한 신규 데이터 처리 프레임워크를 소개한다.

1990년대 이르러 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 인터넷 사용인구의 증가와 급속한 컴퓨터 응용 기술의 발전은 교육에 있어서 기존의 대면교육을 원격교육으로 대체하게 만드는 원동력이 되었으며, 21세기 국가 경쟁력 향상을 위해 영재교육에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있는 것이 사실이다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어와 결합된 원격교육 시스템이 영재교육에 어떻게 응용될 수 있는지를 살펴보고, 기존의 원격교육 시스템 개발방법론과 차이점을 통해 한국과학기술원 과학영재교육센터 원격영재교육 시스템이 가지고 있는 장점에 대해 살펴보도록 한다.

최근 대두되는 브랜드에 대한 가치 인식의 재고는 인터넷의 환경 속에서도 빠른 대처를 요구하고 있다. 그 가장 대표적인 변화가 브랜드 사이트의 등장과 그 사이트를 통한 브랜드 마케팅의 노력일 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 브랜드 사이트의 사례조사를 통해 국내 브랜드 사이트의 현황을 이해하고 효율적인 브랜드 이미지 구축의 방안으로 적극적인 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 응용을 제시하며 동시에 그에 관한 디자인 전략을 고찰해 보고자 한다.

As an alternative to traditional life testing, degradation tests can be effective in assessing product reliability when measurements of degradation leading to failure can be observed. This article presents an accelerated degradation testing for vacuum fluorescent displays (VFDs). The accelerated degradation model is based on Arrhenius-lifetime relationship for cathode temperatures. We compare the results between accelerated degradation test and test at normal use condition. Accelerated degradation test for display devices is observed as an efficient method to warrantee product reliability to customers, as well as a tool to save time and costs.

u-City의 핵심 요소인 통합관리센터는 u-City 내의 모든 서비스를 처리하도록 설계되었으며, 도시를 통제하는 중요한 기능을 수행해야 하므로 인증 및 보안을 처리하기 위한 기술이 요구되며 이러한 기술은 통합관리센터에 필수적으로 구현되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 u-City 인증을 위한 통합관리센터를 나타내고, 이에 대한 응용사례를 보여준다.

본 연구에서는 텍스트 중심의 e-book에서 나아가 비디오 콘텐트가 융합된 HTML5 기반의 양방향 videobook을 구현하였다. 이를 위하여 기존 videobook의 사례를 바탕으로 콘텐트 유형 및 구성요소를 도출하고, 기존 인터랙션 양식 기반으로 videobook 인터랙션을 설계한 후 HTML5를 바탕으로 구현하였다.
