A user remembers a melody as not the combination of pitch and duration which is written in score but the contour which is composed of the relative pitch and duration. Because of the way of remembering a melody the previous Music Information Retrieval Systems which uses keyboard Playing or score as the main input melody are not easily acceptable in Query By Humming Systems. In this paper, we mention about the considerable checkpoints for Query By Humming System and previous researches. And we propose the feature extraction which is similar with the way of remembering a melody and similarity computation algorithms between melody in humming and melody in music. The proposed similarity computation algorithms solves the problem which can be happened when only uses the relative pitches by using relative durations.

This paper deals with the development of an application that converts the PDF music score entered by the user into a MIDI file of the chord the user wants. This application converts the PDF file into a PNG file for chord conversion when the user enters the PDF music score file and the chord which the user wants to change. After recognizing the melody of sheet music through image processing algorithm and recognizing the tempo of sheet music notes through deep learning, then the MIDI file of chord for existing sheet music is produced. The OpenCV algorithm and deep learning can recognize minim note, quarter note, eighth note, semi-quaver note, half rest, eighth rest, quarter rest, semi-quaver rest, successive notes and chord notes. The experiment shows that the note recognition rate of the music score was 100% and the tempo recognition rate was 90% or more.

In order to learn an existing song and create a new song using an artificial neural network, it is necessary to convert the song into numerical data that the neural network can recognize as a preprocessing process, and one-hot encoding has been used until now. In this paper, we proposed a note embedding method using notes as a basic unit and a bar embedding method that uses the bar as the basic unit, and compared the performance with the existing one-hot encoding. The performance comparison was conducted based on quantitative evaluation to determine which method produced a song more similar to the song composed by the composer, and quantitative evaluation methods used in the field of natural language processing were used as the evaluation method. As a result of the evaluation, the song created with bar embedding was the best, followed by note embedding. This is significant in that the note embedding and bar embedding proposed in this paper create a song that is more similar to the song composed by the composer than the existing one-hot encoding.
For music score recognition, several approaches have been proposed including shape matching, statistical methods, neural network based methods and structural methods. In this paper, we deal with recognition for low resolution images which are captured by the digital camera of a mobile phone. Considerable distortions are included in these low resolution images, so when existing technology is used, many problems appear. First, captured images are not stable in the sense that they contain lots of distortions or non-uniform illumination changes. Therefore, notes or symbols in the music score are damaged and recognition process gets difficult. This paper presents recognition technology to overcome these problems. First, musical note to head, stick, tail part are separated. Then template matching on head part of musical note, and remainder part is applied. Experimental results show nearly 100% recognition rate for music scores with single musical notes.

Music transcription is extracting pitch (the height of a musical note) and rhythm (the length of a musical note) information from audio file and making a music score. In this paper, we decomposed a waveform into frequency and rhythm components using Non-Negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) and Non-Negative Sparse coding (NNSC) which are often used for source separation and data clustering. And using the subharmonic summation method, fundamental frequency is calculated from the decomposed frequency components. Therefore, the accurate pitch of each score can be estimated. The proposed method successfully performed music transcription with its results superior to those of the conventional methods which used either NMF or NNSC.
Among the various audiometric test batteries, pure tone and speech audiometry was carried as routine. During the past 20 years, there have been works on speech word list for Korean language. As a preliminary work for standardization of Korean speech word list, the authors are intended to study on the factors of test methods with these proposal speech word lists. Now, authors has studied as followings methods and materials and the results were obtained as followings. A. Materials and Methods a. Word List 1. Paik Chun Kee (Paik) 2. Soh Jin Myoung (Soh) 3.
