The synthesis of silver powders with narrow particle distribution and spherical shape prepared by spray pyrolysis (분무열분해법에 의한 입자분포가 좁은 구형의 은 분말 제조)

  • 은분말은 전자 산업에 있어 후막 도체 페이스트의 제조를 위해 사용되어지고 있다. 후막 페이스트는, 기재상에 스크린 프린트되고, 전도성의 회로 패턴을 형성한다. 이러한 회로는, 다음에 건조, 소성되고 액체 유기 비이클을 휘발 시키고, 그리고 은 입자를 소결시킨다. 프린트 회로 기술은 점점 고밀도이면서 더욱 정밀한 전자 회로를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 요건에 적합하기 위하여 도선은 폭이 점점 좁아지고, 선의 사이의 거리가 점점 작아지고 있다. 고밀도가 조밀하게 꽉 찬 좁은 선을 위하여 은 분말은 가능한 크기가 단일하고 구형의 형태를 가져야 한다. 현재 금속 분말을 제조하는 방법으로는 화학적 환원법, 무화 또는 분쇄, 열분해법등의 물리적 과정 및 전기 화학적 과정 등이있다. 본 연구에서는 입도 분포가 좁은 구형의 은 분말을 제조하기 위하여 기상법의 하나인 분무열분해법을 도입하였다. 또한 싸이클론을 사용하므로 큰 액적들을 걸러 입도 분포를 줄였다. 은 분말의 프리커서로써는 AgNO$_3$를 사용하였고 반응기의 온도는 $700^{\circ}C$에서 100$0^{\circ}C$까지 변화시켰으며 운반기체로써는 5%H$_2$ 혼합가스로 20L/min에서 80L/min 변화시켜 은 분말을 제조하였다. 또한 용액의 농도는 0.2M에서 1.0M까지 변화시켰다. 용액의 농도가 0.2M이고 운반기체의 유랑이 40L/min일 경우 완전한 은 상이 관찰되었고, 입자의 크기는 약 600nm였다.

  • An equal-molar mixture of silver chloride (AgCl) and copper (Cu) was ground in atmosphere conditions using a planetary ball mill to investigate mechanochemical (MC) reaction for preparation of silver powders. The reaction causes the mixture of AgCl and Cu to change the composition of the mixture, such as silver (Ag) and cuprous chloride (CuCl). Through the leaching with ammonium hydroxide solution (1 mol), CuCl can be separated from MC product, so that pure Ag powders can be obtained as the final product. Moreover, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was used as the additive not only to improve dispersion of Ag pow- der during MC process, but also to control surface oxidation of Ag powders, prepared as the final product.

  • 전자재료 산업에서 전극재료용으로 많이 사용되어지는 은 분말은 주로 액상환원법을 이용하여 만들어지고 있으며, 그 적용 분야에 따라 요구되는 분체 특성(모양, 크기, 밀도, 비표면적 등)은 매우 다양하다. 각각의 특성에 부합되는 은 분말은 주로 제조공정 및 공정변수(농도, pH, 교반방법, 반응첨가제 등)등의 인자에 영향을 받으며, 이런 변수들의 조절을 통하여 합성이 가능하다. 본 실험에서는 다양한 변수들에 따라 제조된 은 분말의 분체 특성을 확인하고, 대표적 전극재료 분야에 적용하여 그 특성을 평가하고자 한다.

  • 전기설()폭발(Electric Wire Explosion)법은 고밀도 전류를 금속와이어에 인가시키면 저항 발열에 의해서 금속와이어가 빠르게 가열되고, 수$\mu$sec 이내에 초기체적에 비해 2~3배나 팽창한 후 폭발하는 현상을 이용하여 나노분말을 제조하는 방법으로써, 다른 제조방법에 비해 값싼 비용으로 1~50$\mu$sec의 짧은 시간동안 극히 높은 온도($10^4~10^6K$)에 도달하기 때문에, 와이어 전체가 동시에 기화하여 원재료의 조성을 갖는 분말의 합성이 가능하며, 공급되는 에너지와 시간, 챔버의 용적과 압력을 제어함으로써 평균 분말 크기를 조절할 수 있다는 잇점이 있다. 또한, 금속 와이어 주위의 분위기를 조절함으로써 금속나노분말뿐만 아리나 산화물$\cdot$질화물$\cdot$탄화물 분말, 합금 분말, 화학적 화합물이나 복합재료 나노분말들을 만들 수 있어서 여러 산업분야에 대한 응용이 크게 기대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전기선()폭발 챔버(Fig. 1) 와 최대 20kV까지 제어 가능한 고출력 펄스 전원장치를 자체 제작하고, 이를 이용하여 은(Ag)나노분말 합성에 대한 실험을 행하였다. 이렇게 제조된 분말은 SEM, XRD, PSA, BET 등을 이용하여 비교분석 하였다.

Preparation and Characteristics of Nanometer-sized ZnO Powder by Solution Combustion Process for Photocatalyst Applications (용액 연소법에 의한 광촉매용 나노크기의 ZnO 분말의 제조 및 특성)

  • 광촉매용 ZnO 나노크기의 분말은 시작원료와 연료의 종류에 따라 용액연소법에 의해 제조되었다. 결정상은 XRD로부터 확인할 수 있었으며 분말의 하소온도는 TG 분석으로부터 결정되었다. 분말의 비표면적은 BET 법에 의해 측정되었으며 평균입자크기와 형태를 SEM과 TEM으로부터 조사하였다. 또한 분말의 순도를 조사하기 위해 적외선 흡수스펙트럼을 측정하였으며 광촉매 효율로서 은이 첨가된 사진현상액을 이용하여 은의 수거율을 측정하였다. 용액연소법으로 제조한 경우 시작원료와 연료에 관계없이 단상의 ZnO 분말을 쉽게 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 합성된 ZnO 분말의 입자크기와 형태는 연료의 종류에 따라 서로 다르게 보였다. 특히, 연료로 glycine을 사용한 경우, ZnO 분말의 입자 형태는 균일한 나노 크기의 구형이었으나 carbohydrazide을 사용한 경우에는 판상과 같은 형태를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 하여 시작원료와 연료로 Zn(OH)$_2$와 glycine을 사용하여 합성된 ZnO 분말이 우수한 분말 특성을 보였으며 75nm의 입자크기와 94$m^2$/g의 비표면적을 보였다. 또한 사진현상액에 존재하는 은이 3분 이내에 완전히 제거되는 우수한 광촉매 성질을 보였다.

Quality Characteristics of Madeleine Added with Mulberry Powder According to Drying Conditions (건조조건에 따른 오디분말을 첨가한 마들렌의 품질특성)

  • This research intends to examine the quality characteristics of madeleines after adding drying frozen mulberries by freeze drying and hot-air drying, making them powdered. The general ingredients and physiochemical characteristics of each specimen were measured, compared and analyzed. Madeleines were made based on the recipe set in practical examination of bakery technicians, in which each specimen is added with 0%(control), 1%, 3%, 5%, 7% of mulberry powder depending on the quantity of flour. And then, pH, chromaticity and texture were measured and consumer preferences were grasped by sensory testing. The test results are as follows. First of all, pH was low in the group added with hot-air drying mulberry powder. In chromaticity, brightness(L value) was reduced in comparison with the control group as the addition rates of freeze-drying mulberry powder and hot-air drying mulberry powder increased. Red chromaticity(a value) increased more when adding hot-air drying mulberry powder rather than freeze-drying mulberry powder. Yellow chromaticity(b value) was reduced as addition of mulberry powder increased. Hardness and elasticity of the group added with freeze-drying mulberry powder showed significant differences as addition of mulberry powder increased. Cohesiveness and gumminess was reduced as the addition increased. Hardness of madeleines added with hot-air drying mulberry powder showed significant differences by addition rates of mulberry powder. Elasticity increased by the quantity of mulberry addition. Cohesiveness was reduced as the addition was reduced. Gummines increased as the addition increased. As the result of sensory test on preference, the preferences of the group added with 5% of freeze-drying mulberry powder and the group added with 7% of hot-air drying mulberry powder were the highest.

  • To obtain fine dispersion of Ag particles in $YBa_2$$Cu_3$$O_{7-y}$ (123) superconductors, 123 samples were made by pyrophoric synthetic method using malic acid and the subsequent solid- state reaction. As the pyrophoric synthetic powder was used as a precursor material, fine 123 powder of submicron size was produced in a short reaction time. The added $Ag_2$O was converted to metallic Ag during Pyrophoric reaction and it accelerated both the formation of 123 phase and the grain growth via the enhanced mass transfer. The Ag particles of the sample sintered using the pyrephoric synthetic powder were more finely dispersed in the 123 matrix, compared to those of the sample sintered using the mechanically mixed powder, attributing to the improvement of the superconducting properties.

Microwave Absorbing Properties of Silver-coated Ni-Zn Ferrite Spheres Prepared by Electroless Plating (무전해 도금법에 의해 제조된 은 피복 Ni-Zn Ferrite Sphere의 전파흡수특성)

  • The present investigation provides an electromagnetic radiation absorptive composition which comprises silver-coated ferrite microspheres dispersed in silicon rubber matrix for the aim of thin microwave absorber in GHz frequencies. Ni-Zn ferrite spheres with $50{\mu}m$ size in average were prepared by spray-drying and sintering at $1130^{\circ}C$. Conductive silver layer was plated on ferrite spheres by electroless plating. Conductive Ni-Zn ferrite sphere with uniform silver layer were obtained in the concentration of 10 g/L $AgNO_3$ per 20 g ferrite spheres. For this powder, electrical resistance is reduced as low as $10^{-2}\~10^{-3}\;\Omega$. The most sensitive material parameters with silver plating is real and imaginary parts of complex permittivity. The conductive Ni-Zn ferrite spheres have large values of dielectric constant. Due to this high dielectric constant of microspheres, matching thickness is reduced to as low as 2 mm at the frequency of 7 GHz, which is much thinner than conventional ferrite absorbers.

Quality Characteristics of Sponge Cake Prepared with Lentinus edodes Powder (표고버섯 분말을 첨가한 Sponge Cake의 품질 특성)

  • To make sponge cake using Lentinus edodes powder, which is useful and valuable as a functional food material, we tested samples with 3, 6, 9, and 12% L. edodes powder to ascert200ain the quality characteristic and make optimize preparation. Samples and L. edodes powder-free control sponge cakes were compared in terms of quality characteristics including batter viscosity and specific gravity, moisture content, volume index, weight, color, textural characteristics, and sensory qualities, to determine the optimal ratio of L. edodes powder in the formulation. Viscosity and specific gravity of sample and control batter were not significantly different. Moisture content of the sample and control sponge cake also did not differ significantly, and weight of sample and control sponge cakes did not differ appreciably. The volume index of the samples displayed contrasting values, increasing with 3~6% L. edodes powder and decreasing with 9~12% powder. L, a, and b crust color values of samples sponge cakes were lower than those of control cakes. The L and a values of the control cakes was maximal, with values progressively decreasing with incorporation of more L. edodes powder. The b value decreased by 3% with the addition of up 6% L. edodes powder with no further decrease thereafter. L. edodes powder was the lower value. So was the color a, and L. edodes powder increased, a-values decreased. 3% difference was shown in b, the color and none between the samples with 6~12%. L. edodes powder showed lower values making a comparison with the control. Hardness and fracturablility were not appreciably affected by 3% L. edodes powder, but was affected by concentrations 6%. Fracturability og sample sponge cakes was consistently lower than control cakes. Fracturability made little difference in 3% samples, but it was not the same with more than 6% L. edodes powder samples; the samples showed lower value than the control. Adhesiveness was not significantly affected. Chewiness was lower in all sample cakes except those prepared with 3% L. edodes powder. Use of L. edodes powder conferreds higher resilience values as compared to thecontrols. Sensory attributes of color, flavor, softness and overall acceptability were the highest in control sponge cakes, as the amount of L. edodes powder increased, the acceptability decreased. L. edodes-flavor, pleasant taste and off-flavor were the lowest in control cakes, and values increased as the amount of L. edodes powder increased. The control sponge cakes showed the highest values in egg-flavor and moistness, which progressively increased as added L. edodes powder increased. The results indicate that control sponge cakes displayed were. the highest overall acceptability, with acceptability decreasing and it decreased as L. edodes powder content increased. However, 3~6% L. edodes powder can produce an acceptable product, and may be used as anoptimized mixture ratio.
