Optical Character Recognition is the technology that recognizes text in images and converts them into digital format. Deep learning-based OCR is being used in many industries with large quantities of recorded data due to its high recognition performance. To improve medical services, deep learning-based OCR was actively introduced by the medical industry. In this paper, we discussed trends in OCR engines and medical OCR and provided a roadmap for development of medical OCR. By using natural language processing on detected text data, current medical OCR has improved its recognition performance. However, there are limits to the recognition performance, especially for non-standard handwriting and modified text. To develop advanced medical OCR, databaseization of medical data, image pre-processing, and natural language processing are necessary.

Frequent closures among self-employed individuals lead to national economic losses. Given the high closure rates in the restaurant industry, predicting changes in this sector is crucial for business survival. While research on factors affecting restaurant industry survival is active, studies predicting commercial district changes are lacking. Thus, this study focuses on forecasting such alterations, designing a deep learning model for Seoul's administrative district commercial district changes. It collects 2023 and 2022 second-quarter variables related to these changes, converting yearly fluctuations into percentages for augmentation. The proposed deep learning model aims to predict commercial district changes. Future policies, considering this study, could support restaurant industry growth and economic development.

This study analyzes the impact of online streaming services, particularly Over The Top (OTT) services, on consumer media consumption patterns in the digital age. It examines how consumer-centric service values affect OTT platform choice, consumer satisfaction, and brand loyalty, focusing on various factors such as content diversity, ease of use, affordability, brand awareness, and personalized services. The findings reveal that content diversity, ease of use, and affordability are significant factors positively influencing consumer satisfaction and brand loyalty, thereby motivating OTT platform selection. Contrary to expectations, personalized services did not have a significant impact. This research provides critical insights for OTT service providers to enhance consumer-centric values and develop competitive service strategies.

This study proposes a secure keypad structure that can adapt to screen changes in mobile devices equipped with stretchable display. For this purpose, we compared and analyzed the authentication methods applied to current rigid form factor smartphones with those applied to rollable and bendable display based smartphones, which are the previous stages of stretchable display. Based on the results of this analysis, we identified potential user convenience and security safety issues that may arise in the form factor structure for smart wallets, multitasking, screen expansion and media viewing, and gaming and entertainment applications where stretchable displays will be applied, then proposed a security keypad structure for these form factors. Our keypad structure provides enhanced user convenience and security compared to the structures applied in the smartphone environment based on the conventional rigid display form factor and rollable, bendable display form factor.

The purpose of this study is to confirm the direct and indirect influence of the social presence of the Metaverse on intention to use. At this time, in addition to the direct effect of social presence, we attempted to examine the indirect effect on intention to use through perceived value. Perceived value was based on previous research. Perceived Enjoyment and perceived usefulness were used as positive values, and anxiety or worry perceived in the use of the Metaverse was defined as perceived risk and applied together. As a result of conducting a survey targeting college students who are the main users of Metaverse, the social presence of Metaverse had a direct positive effect on intention to use, and the mediating effects of perceived enjoyment and perceived usefulness could be confirmed. However, perceived risk did not have a significant mediating effect. Strategic implications were provided based on the results of this study, which showed that increasing the social presence of the Metaverse can enhance the intention to use it by increasing the value of the platform.

Species identification of zooplankton is the most basic process in understanding the marine ecosystem and studying global warming. In this study, we propose an convolutional neural network model that can classify females and males of three zooplankton at the species level. First, training data including morphological features is constructed based on microscopic images acquired by researchers. In constructing training data, a data argumentation method that preserves morphological feature information of the target species is applied. Next, we propose a convolutional neural network model in which features can be learned from the constructed learning data. The proposed model minimized the information loss of training image in consideration of high resolution and minimized the number of learning parameters by using the global average polling layer instead of the fully connected layer. In addition, in order to present the generality of the proposed model, the performance was presented based on newly acquired data. Finally, through the visualization of the features extracted from the model, the key features of the classification model were presented.

This study aimed to assess the level of intention to tampon use among female university students and to identify factors influencing intention to tampon use. The participants were 140 female university students. Data collection was performed through an online survey using chi-squared test, spearman's correlation coefficients, and multivariable logistic regression analysis from March 13 to March 30, 2024. In this study, it was found that 63.6% of female university students had an intention to use tampon and factors influencing intention to tampon use were marital status, length of menstruation, and prior experience with tampon use. Specifically, participants who were 'unmarried', 'had menstruation lasting 5 days or shorter', and 'had previous experience with tampon use' demonstrated a higher intention to use tampons. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously monitor the changing patterns of women's menstrual product usage and intention, identify influencing factors, and establish educational and promotional strategies to provide information on the characteristics and usage of menstrual products, enabling women to choose the best products suited to their menstrual needs.

This study aimed to explore the characteristics of early adolescent girls with an over-distorted body image and to examine the influence of peer descriptive norm and peer injunctive norm related to body shape and peer pressure for thinness on social media on body image over-distortion. The participants were 505 female adolescents in the 1st and 2nd grades of middle school. Descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and binary logistic regression were used to analyze the data with SPSS 26.0. The results were as follows. First, the body image over-distortion group contained more 2nd-grader early adolescent girls than 1st graders and approximately three-quarters of the body image over-distortion group had previously attempted to lose weight. Second, peer pressure for thinness on social media significantly predicted whether early adolescent girls were in the body image over-distortion group compared to the non-distortion group. These outcomes suggest that it is necessary to create a social media culture that encourages early adolescent girls to have a realistic and healthy body shape. The results also highlight the importance of developing social media literacy education programs that inform early adolescents of the potential harm of negative comments on social media, and teach them how to recognize and dismiss indiscriminate and harmful comments and contents on social media.

IP망을 이용한 IPTV 방송 서비스가 새로운 수익 모델로 인정받고 현재 국내의 KT, SKT 등이 IPTV 시범서비스를 준비하거나 진행 중에 있다 이 IPTV 서비스는 이전의 단방향 방송과는 달리 사용자와의 인터렉션을 중시하는 양방향 방송을 표방하기 때문에 지금까지의 방송과는 다른 혁신적인 방송서비스가 기대된다. 하지만 IPTV 서비스에 있어서 여러 통신사와 방송사가 참여할 수 있을 것으로 보여지는 것과는 달리 실상은 몇몇 거대 통신기업이 자신들의 망을 이용하는 가입자들을 상대로 한정된 사업을 벌이고 있다. 이는 IPTV 서비스를 위한 인프라가 구축되어 있지 않고 방통융합망의 개념을 만족시키기 위해 서비스 개발자가 알아야 할 프로토콜들이 너무나 많기 때문이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 상황을 타개할 수 있는 수단을 Open API로 제안한다. 맞춤형 방송을 위한 시나리오를 TV-Anytime의 벤치마킹과 유저 시나리오를 참고하여 재구성하고 이 시나리오로부터 IPTV 방송 서비스를 위한 방통융합망의 기본적이고 강력한 기능들을 Open API 함수로 정의하였다. 여기에서의 방송 서비스는 NDR, EPG, 개인 맞춤형 광고 서비스를 말하며 각 서비스를 위한 서버는 통합망 위에 존재하고 이 서버들이 개방하는 API들은 다른 응용프로그램에 의해 사용되는 것이기 때문에 가장 기본적인 기능을 정의하게 된다. 또한, 제안한 Open API 함수를 이용하여 개인 맞춤형 방송 응용 서비스를 구현함으로써 서비스 검증을 하였다. Open API는 웹서비스를 통해 공개된 기능들로써 게이트웨이를 통해 다른 망에서 사용할 수 있게 된다. Open API 함수의 정의는 함수 이름, 기능, 입 출력 파라메터로 이루어져 있다. 사용자 맞춤 서비스를 위해 전달되는 사용자 상세 정보와 콘텐츠 상세 정보는 TV-Anytime 포럼에서 정의한 메타데이터 스키마를 이용하여 정의하였다.가능하게 한다. 제안된 방법은 프레임 간 모드 결정을 고속화함으로써 스케일러블 비디오 부호화기의 연산량과 복잡도를 최대 57%감소시킨다. 그러나 연산량 감소에 따른 비트율의 증가나 화질의 열화는 최대 1.74% 비트율 증가 및 0.08dB PSNR 감소로 무시할 정도로 작다., 반드시 이에 대한 검증이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전략을 개발 및 활용할 수 있으며, 특히, 한국주식시장에 적합한 거래전략은 반전거래전략이고, 이 전략의 유용성은 투자자가 설정한 투자기간보다

Sanjo has a quintessential value not only because of its musical depth but also because of its style of music that best expresses Korean sentiment. However, new values are being established from different viewpoints as time passes so Sanjo's values need a modification in order to encompass a contemporary value that is required and accepted by modern society. In this context, while focusing on communication with the public, I contemplated the developmental direction of Sanjo in five perspectives; The Social realization of value, The Experimental and social transformation, The Social diffusion of creation, The Leap of fusion and harmony and finally The Socialization of contents. In the perspective of 'social realization of value', Sanjo refers to creative activity as a new 'duneum' which allows traditional and creative activity to deviate freely while still being under the Sanjo guideline. Either way, it has a periodical value because new forms with new rhythms are the only ways to communicate with the modern public. When these values can be understood by modern society can Sanjo be revived and be acknowledged as an infinite value. Secondly as an experiment and social transformation, there is a transformation of musical instruments in the 21th century. Our musical instruments should be transformed to effectively perform our music rather than to perform Western music. Third, social diffusion of creation should be the 'new Sanjo festival in 21th century' which can facilitate the communication with the public. Fourth, regarding leap of fusion and harmony, I suggest a performing culture consisting of 'Storytelling Sanjo' and 'Media Art' which will ceaselessly evolve Sanjo performance as a medium to communicate with the public. Finally, in regards to the socialization of contents, I emphasize that Sanjo should have contents of mass media as a way of means to help utilize mass media.
