Clinical experience of 48 acute pericarditis with effusion was reviewed and presented. There were 28 male and 20 female patients ranging from 3 years to 77 years old. Malignant effusion; Twenty patients had underlying malignancy. These etiologies were lung ca[8 patients, 40%], breast ca[7 patients 35%], lymphoma[2 patients, 10%], esophageal ca[1 patients, 5%], stomach ca[1 patient, 5%], ovarian ca[1 patient, 5%]. Uremic effusion; 15 patients with renal failure required surgical intervention. Traumatic effusion; 7 patients had traumatic pericarditis. These etiologies were stab wound [5 patients, 71.4%] and aspiration[2 patients, 28.6%]. Pyogenic effusion: 6 patients had pyogenic pericarditis. These etiologies were empyema thoracis[3 patients, 50%], liver abscess[2 patients, 33.3%], pneumonia[1 patient, 16.7%]. The patients were treated by pericardiocentesis, subxiphoid tube drainage, pericardiectomy: 4 of them underwent pericardiocentesis; 37, subxiphoid tube drainage; 5, pericardiectomy. We conclude that subxiphoid tube pericardial drainage was effective for treatment of pericardial effusion.

Recently the wireless-internet has been spreading extensively. People are spending a large part of their time gaining access to information using a mobile device. However. limited process speed. low bandwidth, the low battery capacity of mobile devices and a high rate of wireless network errors brings out many overheads during service time with server for service. In this paper, we suggest an autonomous service delivery system. which provides mobile agent capability to users that can not maintain a connection. We have developed the system based on java mobile agent technology. Using this system, we can provide more effective services to users when the user is sending requirements of service through a mobile device that has limited resources and can manage the contact server dynamically when new services are added.

Aortic intramural hematoma is a clinical condition that still has not been completely defined. And the treatment of intramural hematoma remains controversial. We present a patient with intramural hematoma combined with hemopericadium who was treated by an emergent surgical treatment.

We report a case of a patient with lung cancer, which invaded the left atrium and pericardium. Right middle and lower lobectomy was performed with the use of the extracorporeal circulation. Postoperative pathologic examination revealed the stage of IIIB (T4N1MO). Although the postoperative clinical course was complicated by acute localized right sided pulmonary edema and the bronchopleural fistula, the patient recovered smoothly after the procedure of omentopexy with pedicled graft of greater omentum in closing the BPF. As of August 2003, he has been followed up for 6 years and he is healthy without any evidence of recurrence. We could not find any report concerning lung cancer resection using cardiopulmonary bypass in Korean literature and believe this is the first report, especially with long-term survival.

Doing CABG in patient with renal transplantation requires special concern to keep and preserve renal function safely during and after operation. We experienced two cases of CABG for treatment of myocardial ischemia. who underwent renal transplantation 2 and 3 years ago respectively. The first patient received single reversed saphenous vein graft at LAD and second one received double saphenous vein graft at LAD and OMI. Peri & postoperative urinary volume and renal function test were comparable with preoperative status in both cases. Although abnormal lipid metabolism due to long term use of immunosuppressive regimen act a causative role in development and progression of coronary artherosclerosis in renal transplantation patient, CABG can be done safely with some precaution including maintenance of adequate mean blood pressure and blood level of immunosupressive regimen during cardiopulmonary bypass.

This study aims to assess the field application of camber estimation for PC beams in the railroad bridge. Properties of two real-scaled PC beams were investigated by measuring material characteristics and sectional deformation of PC beams during tensioning procedure. The test results indicate that camber deflection was effectively predicted using the simplified analytical model. However, it is also emphasized that consideration on field conditions is required for reliable camber prediction.

During the recent 10 years, ten patients with ruptured sinus of Valsalva were operated on our institute. Eight patients were congenital but two patients were proved acquired lesions due to bacterial endocarditis. Coexistent cardiac lesions were 4 aortic regurgitations, 2 atrial septal defects, 1 ventricular septal defect, 1 tricuspid regurgitation and 1 mitral regurgitation. In all cases, aneurysms of sinus of Valsalva arose from the right coronary sinus, and they ruptured to right ventricle in 8 patients and to right atrium in 2 patients. We preferred double approach, through both the aorta and the involver. cardiac chamber, The repair of ruptured site was performed Dacron patch graft in 8 patients and simple closure in 2 patients. Operative results were very good in all cases with no surgical mortality.

This paper is a proposal for edge weight prediction using neural networks to graph configurations of nodes and edges. Brand is one of the components of society. and one of the brand's most important strategies is geographical location strategy. This paper is focus on that strategy. In This paper propose two things: 1) Graph Configuration. node consists of brand store, edge consists of store-to-store relationships and edge weight consists of actual walk and drive distance values. 2) numbering edges and training neural networks to predict next store distance values. It is expected to be useful in analyzing successful brand geographical location strategies.

The external diseconomy has been accelerated by the megaspatial structure of metropolis such as Seoul Capital Region(below SCR), Korea in which the more than 10 million populations inhabit. The main course for It could be elaborated by the overconcentration of the urban and regional function of various kinds. The study is performed to analyze quantitatively the status quo of the region as described above and proceed into forecasting the future population trend, the land use at location for the increment of regional population and to set the location of new towns in Seoul Capital Region System projected by the methods in computer algorithm of descriptive models such as the simple and multiple regress ion analysis models, the gravity model and the facility location on a plane model analysis. The goal and object ive of the metropolitan planning are to decentralize the regional growth management to the optimum degree, which will not hinder the economic growth of the region, but the result of the study is that we can not discourage the functional concentration of Seoul Capital Region and, we have to provide the region with the appropriate new towns.

In order to determine the maximum shear force, the maximum bending moment, the maximum pure torsion. the maximum warping torsion, and the maximum bimoment for the curved girder grid bridges, it is important to find the location of live load applied to the curved girder grid bridges, so that the influence line can be estimated. The fundamental differential equation concerning the behaviour with warping effects for the curved girder is developed by Vlasov. In this paper, the influence line of shear force, bending moment, pure torsion, warping torsion, and bimoment due to unit vertical load and unit torsional moment for curved I-girder grid bridges with variable and constant cross section are obtained by using the finite difference method and compared with respectively.
