Articles from leading daily newspapers dealing with costumes analyzed here dating back to oughly one year before the I.M.F. system came into place in korea. The values and esthetic consciousness of that period were studied through fashion. The major conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. The values of exhibition conformity and extravagance were emphasized. 2. The beauty of play the beauty of the extraordinary and the beauty of splendour were expressed as the esthetic consciousness 3. Preference of young people toward expensive high-grade and foreign-made brands was excessive Adults have to guide the young not to overconsume. Development of a sounder culture of clothing is needed for the establishment of economic prosperity for the nation.

The beauty of the body could separately be defined from area to area, but there can't be any universal definition of it that is applicable throughout the world. The modern discourses on the body have frequently dealt with that, and the beauty of the body should be studied in light of sociocultural background. In today's world fashion industry, the body is represented in various ways, and how to express the body itself is considered from diverse perspectives. As it's now required to approach to fashion from the sociocultural standpoint of the body. a semiotic interpretation method was introduced. The reason was that from the viewpoint of semiotics, the beauty of the body has different implications for society as cultural sign, and they also could be regarded as sociocultural codes. In order to improve new light on the aesthetic consciousness of the body and how it's represented in modern fashion, earlier studies and existing theories were examined. The semiotic interpretation method was used to find out what the aesthetic consciousness of the body stood for and what implication it had for fashion. And in which way fashion represented aesthetic consciousness, including satire, pleasure, grotesque and decadence, through the body was examined. Fashion creates an artificial beauty of the body, and change in the body is followed by change in fashion.

This study intended to analyze the grunge look as a mode of expression and as a characteristic of the fashion of the 21st century, arguing that the look expressed not only an outward appearance or sub-culture but also a change in our attitude and spirit about contemporary fashion. In the study, I carried out an empirical analysis focused on the collection from 2001S/S to 2010F/W and a literature review. In my results, I classified the grunge look into the following categories: 1. mix and match layering; 2. patchwork, collages, and assemblage using all objects as well as clothing materials; and 3. distressing techniques, such as bleaching and dyeing, unweaving, and tears and holes. I also classified the characteristics of grunge into the following categories: 1. conspicuous destitution, which is intentionally expressed by skillful techniques and craftsmanship, indicating that modern people want to attract attention and be distinguished from others, which reflects an attitude of superiority through ironic fashion choices; 2. high lighting the dissolution of decoration, where destruction, poverty and recombination shown in the grunge look emerged as an artificial and intentional ugly aesthetic in contrast to the existing elegant and sophisticated image; and 3. satire and playfulness, as grunge expresses alienation and conflict in modern society through satire and sarcasm, not attacking or avoiding, but through playful and sarcastic engagement so as to decrease poverty and give temporary freedom.

Cell segmentation which extracts cell objects from background is one of basic works in bio-imaging which analyze cell images acquired from live cells in cell culture. In the case of clear images, they have a bi-modal histogram distribution and segmentation of them can easily be performed by global threshold algorithm such as Otsu algorithm. But In the case of degraded images, it is difficult to get exact segmentation results. In this paper, we developed a cell segmentation system that it classify input images by the type of their histogram distribution and then apply a proper segmentation algorithm. If it has a bi-modal distribution, a global threshold algorithm is applied for segmentation. Otherwise it has a uni-modal distribution, our algorithm is performed. By experimentation, our system gave exact segmentation results for uni-modal cell images as well as bi-modal cell images.

This study was carried out to understand hyrolytic characteristics of $\beta-casein$ by enzyme in goat milk and to measure the inhibition effect of the ACE of the hydrolysate. In order to conduct the experiment, $\beta-casein$ of goat milk was separated using Mono S HR 5/5, a cation exchange column. The separated $\beta-casein$ was treated with trypsin of animal hydrolysis enzymes, in an effort to verify the characteristics of hydrolysis. The inhibition activity of ACE was measured and the results are as follows. By analyzing the hydrolysate separated from the trypsin-processed $\beta-casein$ of goat milk, the inhibition effect of the ACE was measured trypsin-hydrolyzed $\beta-casein$ demonstrated a $25.36\pm0.79\%$ of inhibition effect and the $IC_{50}$ of the hydrolysate from the trypsin-processed $\beta-casein$ reached $308.7\pm2.77({\mu}g/mL)$.

1) The purified enzyme was obtained with the specific activity 126.5 u/mg protein (about 45 times of the original activity) and the yield of 4.2%, by means of salting out with ammonium sulfate (0.5 saturation) of the crude enzyme solution, desalting by Sephadex G 25, CM cellulose columm chromatography, concentration by Sephadex G 25, and gel filtration by Sephadex G 75. 2) In the acrylamide gel disc electrophoresis of the purified enzyme, the main band and two obscure ones on the both side of the main band appeared, which indicated that the enzyme was considerably purified compared with its crude enzyme solution, even if it is not referred to as a pure protein.
