This study was focused on classifying lower-body trunk and revealing the lower-body characteristics of the Chinese males in their 20s through 40s for their slacks pattern design. Compared with the 20s, the subjects in their 30s and 40s had small vertical and big horizontal sizes and showed a somatotype difference through a horizontal change. According to the size of absolute values, the lower body of Chinese men was "tall and normal trunk"(43.9%). Based on the shape of index values, Type 3(40.3%) was representative with average hip-surface length, waist-hip width difference and long upper hip. While Type 3 was seen a lot in the 20s(51.8%), 30s and 40s were each represented by Type 2(47.1%) with the smallest waist-hip width difference, average upper hip, and long hip-surface length and Type 1(45.9%) with small waist-hip width difference, average upper hip, and short hip-surface length. As this study is confined to Ningbo City of Zhejiang Province and has a small number of subjects, the generalization of the findings should be more serious. Further research will be centered on the development of slacks patterns in consideration of the body type changes.

Mobile news users want news articles without advertising, meanwhile the news providers require advertisement displays in several types to attain advertising revenue. In this paper, we classified the types of advertisements on mobile news articles into fixed article type which is fixed on some areas of articles, fixed screen type which is fixed on mobile screens, and a combination type of them. In addition, we proposed a smart solution based on overlapping method which effectively organize advertisements to not distract the readers. The proposed method is similar to fixed article type and overlapping technique of advertisements on news article's photo or virtual area. The performance evaluation result shows that the proposed method provides more spaces for news articles effectively than the existing methods. Although only some areas of advertisements may be blocked according to the number or size of advertisements, the effect is not critical.

This study presented a spatial data serialization technique that can efficiently store and transmit large amounts of spatial data for precision road maps was designed and implemented. For efficient serialization, a binary spatial data structure is defined, and a coordinate value encoding technique without loss of information is designed using the Zigzag-Z-order curve. The spatial data serialization technique designed for precision road maps was tested, and the data size and encoding/decoding speed after encoding were compared with Protocol buffer and Geobuff. As a result, it was confirmed that the designed serialization method was excellent in data weight reduction performance and encoding speed. However, the decoding speed was inferior to other serialization techniques in linestring and polygon type spatial data. Through this study, it was confirmed that spatial data can be efficiently encoded, stored, and transmitted using binary serialization techniques.

The OpenCV-based length measurement algorithm is anticipated to be effective for length measurement inspection tasks, providing objective inspection outcomes. Nonetheless, there is a notable gap in research regarding the influence of various checkerboard types and capturing conditions on the algorithm's accuracy in real-world construction settings. Consequently, this study proposes a methodology employing an OpenCV-based length measurement algorithm and checkerboard for digital construction inspection tasks. The findings suggest that using a checkerboard with square sizes of A4 or larger, and 50mm or larger, is optimal for capturing distances and angles within 4m and 90°, respectively, when deploying the algorithm. These insights are anticipated to provide practical guidelines for professionals conducting digital-based length measurement inspections.

To understand the floristic composition, vegetation structure, and population dynamics of Koelreuteria paniculata communities, which are native to Daegu, South Korea, a field survey was conducted in July 2018 using phytosociological and complete enumeration methods. Based on information on vegetation and trees of >5 cm diameter at breast height collected during the field survey, we classified the community types by species composition and analyzed their vegetation strata, relative importance value (MIV), life forms, species diversity, and population structure. The community was divided into the following three types: Ulmus parvifolia-Vitex negundo var. incisa subcommunity, Securinega suffruticosa subcommunity, and Clematis apiifolia community. The vegetation unit system was organized into one community group, two communities, and two subcommunities. Vegetation coverage of the tree layer was >85%, while the herbaceous layer was <10%. MIV of K. paniculata appeared to be extremely high within all vegetation strata, with 94.3 of the tree layer, 81.6 of the subtree layer, 75.5 of the shrub layer, and 60.0 of the herbaceous layer. The species diversity (H') was significantly different among the community types, and the C. apiifolia community (2.062) was approximately four times higher than the S. suffruticosa subcommunity (0.547). The overall representative life form types were "$MM-R_5-D_4{\cdot}D_2-e$,", but there were some differences in the disseminule form among the community types. The population structure of K. paniculata showed the reverse J-shaped distribution with a high density of young individuals and low density of larger individuals among all three community types, and because no plant species within the lower vegetation could replace K. paniculata, it was considered to be a sustainable population.

For a while, Functional cosmetics, Cosmeceutical cosmetics, and Derma cosmetics have gained trust and become popular due to the consumers' strong interest in ingredients & efficacy. It's remarkable that Clean or Vegan brands are growing fast because they are emphasizing on different values from the other cosmetic brands. It's needed to attempt to analyze the influence relationship between consumer lifestyle and social value in these changes, and to find out whether the consumption of vegan cosmetics is related to satisfying the need for self-expression in a social atmosphere where ESG is emphasized on. This study analyzed the effect of lifestyle types and self-expression needs on the purchase intention of vegan cosmetics by mediating social values for cosmetics consumers. Lifestyle types were classified into appearance-oriented, health-oriented, and fashion-oriented. For empirical analysis, 321 questionnaires collected from cosmetics consumers living across the country were used. SPSS v26.0 and PROCESS macro v4.2 were used to analyze based on a single mediating model as a single mediator. As a result of the analysis, first, lifestyle types and self-expression needs, excluding appearance-oriented types, were found to have a positive (+) effect on social values. Second, it was found that social value had a positive (+) significant effect on the purchase intention of vegan cosmetics. Third, appearance-oriented, health-oriented, trend-seeking lifestyle types and self-expression needs were all found to have a positive (+) effect on the purchase intention of vegan cosmetics. Fourth, social values were found to mediate lifestyle types, self-expression needs, and purchase intentions, except for appearance-oriented types. Appearance-oriented consumers do not directly affect social values but affect purchase intentions, suggesting that appearance-oriented consumers may not be significantly affected by product-related social values. In a comparison of the relative influence size using standardization coefficients, self-expression needs had the greatest impact on the purchase intention of vegan cosmetics when mediating social values, and health-oriented ones had the least impact. The academic implications of this study include contributing to consumer behavior research by providing insights, mediation mechanisms, and consideration of the niche consumer sector, and directing further research into the cosmetics industry beyond forming marketing strategies and sustainable business practices.

Thirty eight patients with stage I and II primary gastrointestinal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma were treated in the Department of Therapeutic Radiology, Seoul National University Hospital between 1979 and 1984. There were 6 systemic disseminations during radiotherapy, and the overall failure rate were $31\%$ in the cases with tumor bulk less than 5cm in diameter before radiotherapy and $75\%$ in the cases with tumor bulk greater than 5cm in diameter (p <0,05). The overall 5 year survival rate were $69.2\%$ in 28 patients who completed radiotherpay and $72\%$ in 24 patients with tumor bulk less than 5cm in diameter (small or no tumor bulk). The 5 year disease free survival rate were $71\%$ in cases with tumor bulk less than 5cm in diameter and $25\%$ in cases with tumor bulk greater than 5cm in diameter (p<0.01). But the intitial stage was not related with treatment result in all cases or subgroups of cases. Thus the cases with small or no tumor bulk were shown to be curable with combined surgery and postoperative radiotherapy, but for the control of the cases with large tumor bulk that had a guarded prognosis combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be tried.

Restriction of completely randomization within a block can be handled by a split plot factorial design splitted by several plots. $3{\times}3$ split plot factorial design with two fixed main factors and one fixed block shows that powers of the rank transformed statistic for testing whole plot factorial effect and split plot factorial effect are superior to those of the parametric statistic when existing effect size is small or the remaining effect size is relatively smaller than the testing factorial effect size. Powers of the rank transformed statistic show relatively high level for exponential and double exponential distributions, whereas powers of the parametric and rank transformed statistic maintain similar level for normal and uniform distributions. Powers of the parametric and rank transformed statistic with two fixed main factors and one random block are respectively lower than those with all fixed factors. Powers of the parametric andrank transformed statistic for testing split plot factorial effect with two fixed main factors and one random block are slightly lower than those for testing whole plot factorial effect, but powers of the rank transformed statistic show comparative advantage over those of the parametric statistic.

The purpose of this study was to identify children's mental models of the free-fall objects. This study examined children's prediction and observation about the free-fall of objects. The experimental procedure involved conducting interviews with first-, third-, fifth-, and seventh grade students. The interview had three phases: Prediction, explanation, and observation. During the prediction phase, the object pairs which varied on the dimensions of size, weight, shape, color were presented to students. The students were asked to predict what would happen if the objects were dropped simultaneously. During the explanation phase, the students were asked to explain how they arrived at their answers. During the observation phase, the students observed the free-fall of the object pairs and were asked to describe what they saw. The results showed as follows. (1) Fifth-and seventh grade students made more correct predictions than first- and third grade students. (2) The conflict problems, object pairs involving the dimensions of size and weight, were the most difficult for students to accurately predict. (3) With regard to observations, there was a non-significant effect of grade, indicating equivalence in the number of correct observations made by first-, third-, fifth-, and seventh graders. (4) The conflict problems were the most difficult for students to correctly observe. (5) First- and third grade students showed a significant difference between prediction and observation about the free-fall of objects. However. no difference was found in the fifth- and seventh grade students.
