Analysis of Performance Characteristics of Swash-Plate-Type Hydraulic Piston Motor (사판식 유압 피스톤모터의 성능특성 분석)

  • An axial-piston-type hydraulic motor involves friction and leakage losses at the sliding parts, contact loss at the mechanism assembly parts, volumetric loss caused by the pressure drop, housing oil churning loss and compressibility from the hydraulic oil pipe resistance, etc. the friction and volumetric loss at the hydrostatic bearing between the piston shoe and the swash plate rotating at high speed and having an oil film gap of 8-15 ${\mu}m$ strongly affects the total efficiency of the hydraulic motor. In this study, a variable swash-plate-type hydraulic piston motor operating under a maximum pressure of 35 MPa, maximum speed of 2,500 rpm, and displacement of 320 cc/rev is tested to verify the optimal ratio of the hydrostatic bearing which is closely related to the hydraulic motor performance.

  • 초고층 건축물의 급속한 증가는 건축물 화재 시 고층에서 보다 빨리 피난할 수 있는 구조적 피난설비를 요구한다. 기존의 구조용 완강기나 구조대는 고층에서는 피난자의 공포감을 충분히 해소하기에 역 부족이었다. 이러한 문제점을 보완한 성능을 갖추어 동시에 다수의 피난자를 대피시킬 수 있는 새로운 피난기구가 요구되고 있다. 이에 고층에서도 동시에 여러 사람이 안전하고, 신속하게 피난층까지 무사히 대피가 가능한 유압식 피난기구를 고안하고, 개략 설계하게 되었다. 이 연구를 기초로 향후 상세설계를 마친 후 고층 건축물에 적용되어 안전한 피난기구가 되었으면 한다.

  • Variable guide vanes(VGVs) that consist of link mechanisms and an actuator system are required for an aircraft gas turbine engine to adjust the incidence angle of stator vanes. In this study, we developed a VGV actuator system for three-stage VGVs with two hydraulic actuators. The requirements for the actuator system were derived by analyzing the link mechanisms and air loads, and a hydraulic power-pack was developed based on these requirements. Through a load test using the actuator test-rig and the application of synchronizing control logic with proper control gains, the actuator system could be developed and verified.

  • In this paper a configuration of the load evaluation device for the tilting actuator using hydraulic power is presented, which makes it possible to measure the force action on the tilting actuator. It is possible to measure only current using the conventional electro-mechanical actuator when the bogie is in the process of the tilting. This makes impossible to measure the force acting on the tilting actuator. In order to overcome this problem a kinetic mechanism test system using hydraulic cylinder is proposed. The system are consisted of hydraulic cylinder for the tilting actuation, control system to control hydraulic power, sensors to measure for force and displacement and monitoring system for the user interface.

  • A modeling technique is proposed for dynamic simulations of OHC valve trains with HLA(hydraulic lash adiuster). HLA is expressed by an air-oil mixture model considering HLA leak-down and aeraton effects. A compact nonlinear equation is derived which describe the short term dynamic behavior of the HLA. Valve spring is analyzed by a distributed parameter model including nonlinear characteristics in the spring surge phenomena. Global behavior of the remaining valve train is expressed by a lumped mass model. The experiental results prove that the simulation model developed here is accurate and useful for the dynamic simulations of OHC valve trains with HLA.

  • The purpose of this paper is construction of PMS with extension of consuming time of battery in the special vehicle system using exact Battery state of charge measurement algorithm. It is possible to use long distance control by RS-485, fast data processing VMEbus. Its computer simulation, experimental tests and application to special vehicle are described.

  • Recently, wash plate type hydraulic axial piston motors are being in extensively used in the world, because of simple design, lightweight, effective cost. But the structural problem of swash plate type hydraulic axial piston motor is the limited angle of swash plate and lateral force having a undesirable effect in piston. To solve these problems. a connecting rod mechanism. which is commonly used in hent axis type motors, is considered to be applied the swash plate cype motor. In this paper, kinematic analysis is done on the connecting rod mechanism. A series of formula are derived and numerical calculations are done for a set of motor parameters.

  • This study deals with a position control of an electro-hydraulic servo system which consist of cylinder and high speed on-off valves operated by microcomputer. The merits of PWM control of hydraulic equipment are the robustness of the high spee on-off valve, its low price and the direct control without D/A converter. In the PWM control of high speed on-off valve, the time lag and switching time existing between the input and output signals of valve are considered as demerit points. To get analytical results, the effects of these demerits have to be clarified in detail. The object of this study is to propose a mathematical model for the behavior of high speed on-off valve and to get analytical results of this system. The dynamic characteristics of this system is examined by digital computer simulation analytically and compared with experimental results to varify the proposed mathematical model.

  • Liquid column separation occurs when the valve on the pipeline is closed rapidly in an oil hydraulic system. In this case two-step pressure rise is sometimes observed in a comparatively short pipeline. In this study the two-step pressure rise phenomenon was investigated experimentally and theoretically. The experiments showed that maximum pressure values during two-step pressure rise might exceed extremely the values computed by the theory of rigid-liquid-column separation. So the two-step pressure rise phenomenon appears one of important factors of pipe strength design. From the theoretical considerations based on the experimental and numerical results, the mechanism of two-step pressure rise phenomenon could be explained clearly.

Cavitation Inception in Oil Hydraulic Pipeline (유압관로에서의 캐비테이션 초생)

  • The Cavitation inception in oil hydraulic pipeline was investigated experimentally and numerically. In the experiment, negative pressures below -1 MPa (absolute pressure) were measured, associated with the transient flows in oil hydraulic pipeline. These experimental results show that the common hydraulic oil in the experimental pipeline withstands large tensions. The growth of a spherical bubble in a infinite volume of viscous compressible fluid due to a stepwise pressure drop was investigated to obtain the critical bubble radius. The calculated value of the critical bubble radius corresponding to the negative pressure measured in the experiment is so small that the premised condition about the bubble shape in the analysis is unsatisfactory. The physical significance of this calculated result implies the fact that there hardly exist free bubbles which can act as cavitation nuclei in the experimental pipeline.
