  • During human development, rapid emotional growth develops in infancy, and emotional regulation affects positive emotional development. Therefore, it is important for infants to learn how to control their emotions in infancy. In this study, we propose music-based media content that can improve the emotional regulation ability of infants. In other words, this study suggests a projector-based interactive content that plays various musical instruments through movement of the body following the music on the basis of the Eurhythmics education. Children were asked to perform five instruments: bass, drums, tambourines, castanets, and maracas in their physical movements using their hands, arms, and legs, so that physical activity had a positive impact on the child's emotional regulation. This music - based interactive content is expected to provide an environment that can help improve the emotional regulation by concentrating the attention of children.

  • Until now, many Computer Aided Education(CAE) contents are developed for kids and children with disabilities The contents cover various types of training, including visual perception training, intelligence development training, and literature education areas. Major problems on those contents are those contents requires long training time on desktop machine, which deteriorates human activities. These problems also cause inaction syndrome for young kids and children with disabilities. Solving this problem, we require a human motion sensing contents on touch screen or touch board, which interacts with a trainees and enhancing activity, collaboration and immersiveness. We implement and develope an education contents interacts with a trainee using beam projector or screen and IR(Infra-Red) pens using wiimote controller sensing technology.

  • This study examines children's responses on Audie music activity based on Gordon's Music Learning Method. Subjects of study were 3 five year old children(2 boys, 1 girl) in kindergarten. Data collection drew from participatory observation, researcher journal, the classroom teacher interview. Where more specific data were necessary, video and digital camera recorded. The data were described, analyzed, and interpreted. The main findings in this study are as follows : The children who participated in Audie music activity showed desirable changes in many ways. Their music listening attitude was the one that changed most remarkably. At the beginning activity application, the children were not naturally and could not listen attentively while researcher was singing song without words. Gradually children could listen attentively to the researcher's singing without words. Through the Audie music activity, the children began to think carefully the tone and rhythm of music and to express themselves freely and creatively. At the beginning activity application, the children who showed negative responses and blocked up activity became gradually able to show positive aptitude and to amuse. Also the children who showed passive attitude and no responses became gradually able to react spontaneously.

  • This paper proposes component-based density propagation for tracking a component-based human body model that comprises components and their flexible links. We divide a human body into six body parts as components - head, body, left arm, right arm, left foot, and right foot - that are most necessary in tracking its movement. Instead of tracking a whole body's silhouette, using component-based density propagation, the proposed method individually tracks each component of various parts of human body through a human body model connecting the components. The proposed human body tracking system has been applied to track movements usee for young children's movement education: balancing, hopping, jumping, walking, turning, bending, and stretching. This proposed system demonstrated the validity and effectiveness of movement tracking by independently detecting each component in the human body model and by acquiring an average 97% of high tracking rate.

  • This research explores the concept of dance education, which involves educators demonstrating specific movements to students in a practice environment. This study aims to contribute to the emotional development and physical health of children and adolescents and to propose the direction of educational methods through interactive content. Educators explain the movements and describe the emotional context that should be expressed during these movements. This type of education focuses on conveying emotions through movement, acknowledging that dance is more than just precise postures and motions. However, individual imagination differ, and children and adolescents, in particular, may have little experience visualizing emotions. In such limited circumstances, students may focus on physical movements and postures rather than the emotional context they should convey, resulting in dry expressions or expressions that deviate from the intended emotions. This study uses interactive content to help dancers immerse themselves in the emotions associated with specific movements. Virtual content is projected into the practice space, allowing dancers to perceive a virtual environment tailored to specific movements. A body tracking sensor installed in the space recognizes the dancer's body and movements, and real-time particle effects are used to depict the dancer's movements in the virtual graphical environment. This method encourages dancers to perform the necessary movements by immersing them in an emotional experience. This study improves emotional immersion in dance education by reducing the dancer's reliance on his or her imagination alone. It catalyzes transitioning to a different emotional dimension, thereby increasing the effectiveness of dance education. This research involved dance education, which resulted in increased student engagement and concentration. Furthermore, the students recognized the emotional situations that required expression through their body movements, and they were able to express similar emotional content. Furthermore, students demonstrated creativity by incorporating emotions into their physical movements. This research is conducted in stages, each being tested in an educational setting to determine its impact. This step-by-step approach uses validated results as the foundation for subsequent stages, allowing for content expansion and improvement of issues discovered in previous stages. This study aims to contribute to the emotional development and physical health of children and adolescents and to propose the direction of educational methods through interactive content.
