With the advent of uniquitous life, changes of users' demands make a public library accomplish roles and functions of a complex service center providing information, education and culture service. As a multi-function center, a public library provides various services based on physical and digital space in ubiquitous environment. Information commons is a basement of physical space in an u-Library. Especially, with the advent of ubiquitous environment, design and use of physical space will be a critical issue for a public library to perform its role and function as a multiple complicated space. This study derives facilities and components for designing and implementing information commons in a public library as a physical space. To perform the goals, this study focuses on the newest trends and requirements through literature study, case study and survey. As a result, this study proposes components of facility and principles of design to implement information commons as a physical space in a public library.

Ubiquitous learning environment needs various new model of e-learning as web based education system has been proposed. The demand for the customized courseware which is required from the learners is increased. the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. But many education systems that had been studied recently did not service fluently the courses which learners had been wanting and could not provide the way for the learners to study the learning weakness which is observed in the continuous feedback of the course. In this paper we propose a multi-agent system for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm via personalized ubiquitous environment factors. First proposed system analyze learner's result of evaluation and calculates learning accomplishment. From this accomplishment the multi-agent schedules the suitable course for the learner. The learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course.

u-러닝시스템의 개발과 활용은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경의 발달에 따른 미래교실에서의 교육 및 학습 환경을 실현하기 위한 기술적 노력을 의미한다. 본 연구에서 다루고자 하는 u-러닝시스템이 높은 수준의 유비쿼터스 학습을 구현하기 위해서는 학교에서 뿐만 아니라 가정에서도 학습할 수 있는 u-러닝환경을 구축할 수 있어야 하는데, 현재 u-러닝 시스템 구축을 통한 미래교육 연구는 광범위한 관심과 보급에도 불구하고 u-러닝시스템 활성화의 한계를 도출하고 있다. 즉, 현재 다양한 플랫폼 하에서 운영되고 있는 모바일 기기 환경에서 기존의 콘텐츠를 활용하기 위해서는 여전히 u-러닝 지원을 위한 단말기의 안정성이 떨어질 뿐만 아니라 u-러닝을 안정적으로 지원하는 기반 시스템이 적절하게 개발 보급되지 못하고 있는 실정이며 사용자의 편의성이 떨어져 u-러닝 환경에 적합하지 못한 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구는 이와같은 u-러닝시스템의 기반기술 구축에 필수적인 기술적 요소를 보완하기 위하여 오픈소스를 포함한 다양한 운영체제의 환경에서 윈도우 운영체제 기반 애플리케이션 사용이 가능한 Remote Desktop Protocol을 통한 가상화 기술을 구현하여 u-러닝시스템의 컴퓨팅 성능을 보다 효율적으로 증대시킬 수 있는 네트워크 시스템을 구현하고 타 시스템과의 성능평가를 수행한다.

과학과 정보통신 관련 기술 교육은 그 교육적 잠재력이 무한하고 이에 따른 열의 또한 높아지고 있다. 그러나 기초과학 교육의 산실이라 할 수 있는 초등학교 과학 실험 환경은 매우 열악하여 학생들은 각종 위험 상황에 노출되어 있고 교사들은 학생들을 각종 안전사고에서 보호하기 위해 실험 환경을 과도하게 통제하게 되어 학생들은 기본적인 활동에 상당한 제약을 받아 과학에 대한 의욕과 흥미가 저하되는 문제가 발생하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 최근 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous)컴퓨팅 기술로 주목을 받고 있는 RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) 기술을 이용하여 실험 약품에 고유의 전자태그를 부여하고 Mobile RFID 리더기가 장착된 PDA를 이용하여 약품의 개별 정보와 관련 과학실험 방법을 비롯하여 실시간으로 안전교육을 받을 수 있는 시스템을 통해 안전 조건이 미비한 실험실의 물리적 환경 개선을 통해 보다 능률적이고 심도 있는 과학 실험 환경을 구축할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하였다.

정보화 사회를 거쳐 유비쿼터스 환경으로 나아가고 있는 정보기술은 이제 우리의 생활 곳곳에서 그 대체를 생각할 수 없을 정도로 중추적인 역할을 하고 있으나 역설적으로 그에 따른 역기능이 큰 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 현재의 정보기술에 바탕을 둔 정보윤리교육은 최근의 사회문제를 해결하기 위한 필요성뿐 만 아니라 미래의 건전한 유비쿼터스 세상의 구현을 위해서도 그 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 정보기술의 건전화와 올바른 이용 문화의 확산을 위해, 역기능 중심의 윤리적인 관점보다는 정보기술의 순기능을 중심으로 하여 역기능에 대해 분석 및 고찰하고, 순기능의 강화방안과 그에 따른 정보기술과 문화에 대해 다루는 새로운 접근 방법으로 문제기반학습을 적용한 정보윤리 교과과정을 제안한다.

In this study, the following findings were obtained: First, life-long educational system should be reinforced that can train and educate people to fit their situation and provide the necessary manpower in a just-in-time manner by getting away from the school-centered education and rapidly introducing the knowledge required in both the world market and the domestic market. This can be said to be the global trend in the ubiquitous age. Second, government should make efforts to build up the life-long educational system that can make the persons trained and educated in schools the manpower required by the state and society. Third, Life-long learning policy starts with providing for the system of lifting all kinds of limits and obstacles so that anyone needing learning can learn and his learning may not discriminated from schooling. For this policy or system to be effectively promoted, government should reinforce administrative and financial support system for investment in and research on the ubiquitous department. Fourth, It is quiet right that the very effort we are going give the super to the ubiquitous education is a shortcut to solving rapidly lots of problems heaped on our present life-long educational system.

According to get ubiquitous environment, it is suggested to environment to get information with whichever terminal at any time wherever. Advancement of ability of mobile device increase requirement of wireless internet base solution. In this paper We developed distance education system based on wireless internet. This system has no problem of bandwidth and resolution of pocket pc because of using SWF(Shockwave Flash). It can maintain readability of high quality when size of resolution is changed but another graphic format can't maintain it.

E-learning has increased on importance as people realize that the use of technology can improve the teaming process. Consequently, new learning environments have been developed. However, in general they are oriented to address a specific e-learning functionality. Therefore, in most of the cases, they are not developed to interoperate with other e-learning tools, which makes the creation of a fully functional e-learning environment more difficult. We analyses of total information security infrastructure of school affairs information system for secure ubiquitous campus.

본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 기술 기반에서 음악감상요법을 통한 청소년의 정서함양 방안을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 학교 홈페이지를 통한 Blended Learning 적용과 Smart Handheld Device 사용의 Mobile Learning 환경구축, 그리고 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) 기술 기반에서 U-Healthcare 개념의 맞춤형 감상교육을 제안한다.
