형상비를 고려한 중공 플랜지의 밀폐단조 해석

  • 동력 전달용 구동부품에 있어서 중공 플랜지 형상의 부품은 흔히 찾아 볼 수 있으며, 이는 높은 강도를 요구하기 때문에 강도향상을 위하여 단조에 의한 제품의 성형 방법이 많이 연구되고 있다. 중공 플랜지형상을 갖는 제품의 제조 방법으로서는 중실 플랜지 형상으로 단조하여 내경부를 절삭가공하는 방법, 중실 소재를 후방압출하여 중공 플랜지형상으로 단조하는 방법, 또는 중공의 초기소재를 사용하여 중공 플랜지형상으로 단조하는 방법이 일반적이다. 본 연구에서는 Fig. 1에 나타낸 것과 같이 중공 플랜지 형상을 갖는 기계 부품의 단조방법에 대해 연구하였으며, 중공 관의 내경을 $d^1$, 외경을 $d^2$, 플랜지부의 외경을 $D^0$, 중공 관의 두께를 t, 플랜지부의 두께를 T로 정의하였다. 중공 플랜지 형상에 있어서 공정 설계의 변수는 다양하겠으나, 본 연구에서는 중공관의 외경과 내경의 형상비 $\alpha$(=$d^2$/$d^1$), 플랜지의 폭과 중공관의 두께비 $\beta$(=B/t) 및 중공관의 두께와 플랜지의 두께비 r(=T/t)의 변화에 따른 성형조건에 관해 고찰하였다. 중공 플랜지 형상의 성형방법으로 Fig. 2에 나타낸 것과 같은 $\circled1$중실소재를 이용한 후방압출단조(backward extrusion forging)방법, $\circled2$중공 소재를 이용한 엎셋(upset forging)방법, $\circled3$중공 소재를 이용한 압조법(injection forging), $\circled4$중실소재를 이용한 압조-압출(injection-extruding forging)법의 4가지의 단조 방법을 제시 하였다. 또한, 유한요소해석을 수행하여 소성유동 형태, 유효변형률, 단조하중을 검토하고. 모델재료인 납을 이용한 실험을 통하여 이를 검증하였다. 이를 바탕으로 산업 현장에서 경험에 의존하였던 공정 설계를 보다 효과적으로 개선하기 위한 단조법을 제시하고자 하였다. 또한 중실 소재를 이용한 중공 플랜지 형상의 단조 방법 중 보다 적절한 단조방법인 압조 단조에 있어서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 SM10C에 대한 유한요소 해석을 수행하였으며, 제품의 형상비에 따라 폴딩 결함의 발생 유무를 검토하고, 폴딩 결함 없이 단조하기 위한 중공 플랜지의 형상한계 비를 제시하였다.

A Study on the Emotion-Responsive Interior Design centered on a Color Coordinate Digital Wall (감성반응형 실내디자인에 관한 연구 - 감성어휘별 색채배색에 의한 디지털 벽면을 중심으로 -)

  • The objectives of this study is to develop an adaptable digital wall model whose color can be changed dynamically according to the identified emotional state of a user. This study addresses how to capture a specific user's emotion through the web and use it for modifying VR model mainly for color adaptation. This adaptation process of a VR model consists of three phases: 1) identification of the user's emotional state projected onto the list of emotional keywords 2) translation of those captured emotional keywords into a pertinent set of color coordinations, and finally, 3) automated color adaptation process for the given model. This process derives an on-line viewer's emotional state, which can be utilized to find a new color scheme reflecting the identified emotion.

Adaptive Air-Particle Method for Vortex Effects of Water in Free Surface (자유표면내 물의 와류효과를 위한 적응적 공기 입자 기법)

  • We propose an efficient method to express water spray effects by adaptively modeling air particles in particle-based water simulation. In real world, water and air continuously interacts with each other around free surfaces and this phenomenon is commonly observed in waterfall or sea with rough waves. Due to thin spray water, the interfaces between water and air become vague and the interactions between them lead to heavy vortex phenomenon. To express this phenomenon, we propose methods of 1) generating adaptive air cell in particle-based water simulation, 2) expressing water spray effects by creating and evolving air particles in the adaptive air cells, and 3) guaranteeing robustness of simulation by solving drifting problem occurred when adjacent air particles are insufficient. Experiments convincingly demonstrate that the proposed approach is efficient and easy to use while delivering high-quality results.

Aerodynamic Corrections for Load Analysis of Micro Aerial Vehicle (초소형 비행체 하중해석을 위한 공력보정)

  • Aerodynamic influence coefficient linearly relates pressure with downwash in panel method for load analysis in which the viscosity of a flow is ignored and the compressibility cannot be taken into account in transonic region. Since the planform of an aerodynamic surface determines the coefficient, the panel method has a limit to the analysis of low Reynolds number flow. The accuracy of the pressure distribution can be improved by a direct correction to the pressure or a correction to the downwash, which is considered the change of camber or thickness, using the aerodynamic coefficients from wind tunnel test as constraints. A premultiplying correction method as well as a postmultiplying correction method is applied to a micro air vehicle to provide more accurate aerodynamic pressure for trim and load analyses. Theoretical aerodynamic pressure is obtained from the panel method. Correction factor matrix and correct pressure coefficient are computed for the conditions with two constraints in addition to single constraint. The postmultiplying correction method gives a better improvement in pressure distribution on micro air vehicle due to the flow characteristics on it.

Investigation of Oswatitsch Scheme for Maximum Total Pressure Recovery of Hypersonic Wedge-type Intakes (극초음속 쐐기형 흡입구의 최대 전압력 회복률을 위한 오스와치 기법 분석)

  • In order to improve the performance of the air breathing engines, it is important to maximize the total pressure recovery through air intake. In this study, we investigated whether the Oswatitsch method, which guarantees the maximum pressure recovery for supersonic intake, is effective at hypersonic speed by compressing the intake air with the same intensity at each ramp. The non-linearity of the shock wave normal Mach number at each ramp stage was analyzed by comparing the compression ramp angle and the number of ramp to the inflow Mach number in terms of compressible thermodynamics and the operation limits of the inlet. Based on this analysis, the Oswaitisch technique yields valid conditions not only in supersonic but also hypersonic flight regime.

  • The underground cavity known as one of the reasons of ground surface settlement is a discontinuous character. Therefore, it is limited to analyze with continuum analysis. In this research, The spherical underground cavity affecting the ground surface settlement is studied with Discrete Element Method. Ground properties, depth and diameter of the spherical underground cavity are chosen as factors of the spherical underground cavity and the effect of the each factor variations on the ground surface settlement is analyzed. Relative depth to the diameter of the spherical underground cavity is also studied. The result of the research suggests the basis of underground cavity collapse prediction and standard of support.

  • Microsoft Office is an office suite of applications developed by Microsoft. Recently users with malicious intent customize Office files as a container of the Malware because MS Office is most commonly used word processing program. To attack target system, many of malicious office files using a variety of skills and techniques like macro function, hiding shell code inside unused area, etc. And, people usually use two techniques to detect these kinds of malware. These are Signature-based detection and Sandbox. However, there is some limits to what it can afford because of the increasing complexity of malwares. Therefore, this paper propose methods to detect malicious MS office files in Computer forensics' way. We checked Macros and potential problem area with structural analysis of the MS Office file for this purpose.

  • Measurements of hydraulic conductivity are point or interval values, and are highly limited in their number. Meanwhile, results of geophysical prospecting can provide the information of spatial variation of geology, and abundant in number. In this study, it was aimed to develop a data integration tool for constructing a hydraulic conductivity map by integrating geophysical data and hydraulic conductivity measurements. The developed code employed a geostatistical optimization method, simulated annealing (SA), and consists of 4 distinct computation modules by which from exploratory data analysis to postprocessing of the simulation were processed. All these modules are equipped with Graphical User Interface (GUI). Validation of the developed code was evaluated in-situ in characterizing hydraulic characteristics of highly permeable fractured zone.

2-Parameter High Frequency Combustion Instability Model (2-파라메타 모델에 의한 고주파 연소불안정 해석)

  • The definition of burning admittance and conventional n-$\tau$ stability rating technique are combined to investigate the high frequency combustion instabilities inside the cylindrical combustion chamber. Perturbed flow variables are written as the sum of fluctuating and time-averaged mean quantities on the assumption that the terms of the order higher than unity are sufficiently small, hence linearized governing equations could be formulated. Chamber admittances up and downstream of the flame front calculated with appropriate boundary conditions result in the burning admittance and corresponding n-$\tau$ neutral stability curve. Configurational and operational design factors are tested to detect the unstable wave-induced LOX-RP1 combustion instabilities. Operational design factors, e.g. pressure or O/F ratio, appear less influential to drive high frequency instability while the location of the flame front and configurational factors enhance or deteriorate the stabilities strongly. Conclusively, LOX-RP1 combustion inside the cylindrical combustion chamber is apt to be unstable against long residence time and shortened chamber length.

A study on the acoustic loads prediction of flight vehicle using computational fluid dynamics-empirical hybrid method (하이브리드 방법을 이용한 비행 중 비행체 음향하중 예측에 관한 연구)

  • This paper performed the prediction of the acoustic loads applied to the surface of the flight vehicle during flight. Acoustic loads during flight arise from the pressure fluctuations on the surface of body. The conventional method of predicting the acoustic loads in flight uses semi-empirical method derived from theoretical and experimental results. However, there is a limit in obtaining the flow characteristics and the boundary layer parameters of the flight vehicle which are used as the input values of the empirical equation through experiments. Therefore, in this paper, we use the hybrid method which combines the results of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) with semi-empirical methods to predict the acoustic loads acting on flight vehicle during flight. For the flight vehicle with cone-cylinder-flare shape, acoustic loads were estimated for the subsonic, transonic, supersonic, and Max-q (Maximum dynamic pressure) condition flight. For the hybrid method, two kind of boundary layer edge estimation methods based on CFD results are compared and the acoustic loads prediction results were compared according to empirical equations presented by various researchers.
