An Approximated RLS Algorithm for Adaptive Parameter Estimation (적응 파라미터 예측을 위한 근사화된 RLS 알고리즘)

  • This paper presents the fast adaptive algorithm which applies an approximation scheme into RLS algorithm. The proposed algorithm(D-RLS) derives a QRD RLS algorithm derivation process from RLS algorithm recursively. D-RLS has the similar pattern as the algorithm having the approximation that input signals are separated respectively. Computational complexity of D-RLS is O(N), fewer than $O(N^2)$. To evaluate performance of proposed algorithm, we use the system identification method of FIR and Volterra system. And, finally, we can show D-RLS has an excellent performance.

  • This paper is proposed by fuzzy-based MPPT control of photovoltaic to drive induction motor. Design and prototype implement of a fuzzy logic(FL) controller for maximum power extraction from a stand-alon photovoltaic. Error and the change of error between maximum power and real power are used by input of fuzzy controller. Moreover, it output changing of voltage from control constant. The validity of this paper is proved by comparing maximum power point tracking and performance of motor drive through comparison fuzzy and PI of tradition method.

  • We propose a constant inversion black box model of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) for exact performance predictions for EDFAs operated in the gain-flattened condition. The validity of the newly proposed model was experimentally verified by predicting the performance of EDFAs for the L band, within 1.9% required pump power discrepancy. The role of ion pairing effects on the power conversion efficiency is also discussed. ussed.

  • In this paper, we propose a hierarchical hybrid neural network for detecting faults of induction motor. Implementing the classifier based on the input and output data, we apply appropriate transform and classification method at each step. In the proposed method, after obtaining the current of state of motor for each period, we transform it by Principle Component Analysis(PCA) to reduce its dimension. Before the training process, we use the conditional Fuzzy C-means(FCM) for obtaining the initial parameters of neural network for more effective learning procedure. From the various simulations, we find that the proposed method shows better performance to detect and diagnosis of induction motor and compare than other methods.

  • This paper addresses the CAN based networked intelligent multi-motor control system using DSP2812 microprocessor. CAN built in DSP2812 microprocessor is used to control and monitor the multi-motor system with the inverter driving system. CAN network implementation schemes and the algorithm for multi-motor control and monitoring is also developed. We configure the multi-motor control experimental system to verify the proposed algorithm and the reliability of CAN networks system in the various operation of two induction motors. The experimental results show that CAN based networked intelligent multi-motor control system using DSP2812 microprocessor can carry out the real-time network based control in various speed range and the position control of induction motors.

  • Wireless emergency call switch used in industry, the most important thing is the sustainable power supply. This paper describes the development and performance test results of a compact electromagnetic energy harvesting mechanism for batteryless wireless switch. This paper summarizes proposed structure design and magnetic field analysis results of the mechanism to generate an induced electromotive force using 2mm stroke of a single push action. This analysis results show the power output of the proposed mechanism up to VDC $4.5V{\pm}25%$ and it can hold up to 65ms of the power generation with greater than 2.5V.

  • Recently, many people have suffered from insomnia, labor loss, cognitive decline, and mental illness. The solution to this problem is almost entirely cognitive therapy or medication, but it is not recommended in the long term due to side effects and dependency problems. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a neuro feedback system based on portable EEG that helps induce sleeping. We design and evaluate the EEG classifier, which is the most important function to implement the system, and propose an optimized classifier modeling method for various factors that can affect performance. When using the proposed classifier, we could distinguish 97.9% of awakening and sleep phase in portable EEG.

  • Most of light duty AGVs(AGCs) using tape of magnetic for the guide path have digital guidance magnetic sensor. Digital guidance magnetic sensor using magnet-tape is on/off type and has positioning error of magnet-tape as 10~50 mm. AGC using this sensor doesn't induce accurate position of magnet-line which is magnet-tape because of magnetic field which motor in AGC creates, outer magnetic field, earth's magnetic field, etc. AGC when driving wobbles due to this error and this error can cause path deviation. In this paper, we propose fuzzy inference system for improvement of bipolar analog magnetic guidance sensor performance. Fuzzy is suitable in term of fault tolerance, uncertainty tolerance, real-time operation, and Nonlinearity as compared with other algorithms. In previous research, we produced bipolar magnetic guidance sensor and we set the threshold in order to calculate digital values of magnet position. Fuzzy inference system is designed using outputs of Analog hall sensors. Magnet position calculated by digital method is improved by outputs of this system. In result, proposed method was verified by improving performance of magnetic guidance sensor.

Improving Clustering Performance Using Gene Ontology (유전자 온톨로지를 활용한 클러스터링 성능 향상 기법)

  • Recently many researches have been presented to improve the clustering performance of gene expression data by incorporating Gene Ontology into the process of clustering. In particular, Kustra et al. showed higher performance improvement by exploiting Biological Process Ontology compared to the typical expression-based clustering. This paper extends the work of Kustra et al. by performing extensive experiments on the way of incorporating GO structures. To this end, we used three ontological distance measures (Lin's, Resnik's, Jiang's) and three GO structures (BP, CC, MF) for the yeast expression data. From all test cases, We found that clustering performances were remarkably improved by incorporating GO; especially, Resnik's distance measure based on Biological Process Ontology was the best.
