Experiments for Side Wall Effects of a Perforated Structure Under Oblique Incident Waves (경사입사파 조건에서 유공구조물의 격벽효과에 대한 실험)

  • The wave height distributions in front of a vertically perforated wall structures for obliquely incident uni-directional irregular waves are mainly investigated by using 3D hydraulic experiments. The difference and similarity of wave propagation along the plain and perforated wall structures are investigated and particularly the effects of side walls in chamber and relative chamber width are analyzed. This study shows that the wave height distribution patterns for normalized wave heights in front of structure is significantly different between the plain and perforated wall structures, and the side wall in the chamber suppresses the growth of waves.

Investigation of reflection coefficient for vertical caisson and slit caisson with porous structure (투과성 구조물이 위치한 직립케이슨 및 유공케이슨의 반사율 검토)

  • 본 연구에서는 전면에 투과성 구조물이 위치한 직립케이슨 및 유공케이슨에 대해 수치모의를 실시하여 케이슨의 형태 및 투과성 구조물의 존재유무에 따른 반사율의 감소효과에 대하여 알아보았다. 수치모의에 사용된 모델은 비압축성 점성유체에 대한 복잡한 자유수면 변위의 표현이 가능한 VOF법을 적용하여 Navier-Stokes 방정식을 보다 정확하게 해석하는 CADMAS-SURF(수치파동수로)를 사용하였다. 상기 구조물에 규칙파를 입사하여 반사율을 산정한 결과 주기에 따라 차이가 있지만, 직립케이슨만이 존재하는 경우에 비해 직립케이슨 전면에 투과성 구조물이 위치한 경우 대략 5%정도의 반사율 감소효과를 얻을 수 있었고 유공케이슨만이 존재하는 경우에 비해 유공케이슨과 투과성 구조물이 조합 된 경우에는 20%이상의 감소효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서, 방파제 전면에 위치한 구조물에 대한 반사파의 피해 감소 및 항만 내부 정온도를 고려한 안벽의 시공이 요구되어 질 경우에 투과성 구조물은 직립케이슨과의 조합보다는 반사율을 상대적으로 크게 감소시킬 수 있는 유공케이슨과의 조합이 적절함을 알 수 있었다.

Frequency-Domain Analysis for Motion of Floating Structures with Perforated Wall (유공벽이 설치된 부유체 동요 평가를 위한 주파수 영역 해석)

  • As increasing demands for a floating structure expanded from offshore industry facilities to living facilities, it has emerged that necessity of techniques to reduce motions of a floating structure. This study present a floating structure with porosity on the outer surface of the floater. Under each regular and irregular wave, responses of the floater was investigated in frequency domain. The proposed structure is composed of inner and outer floaters, which are connected to each other and the outer wall is perforated, and the heave and the pitch of floaters with different perforation rates (0~30%) were compared with at both the center and the edge. The results showed that pitch responses can be decreased by increasing of perforation rate of the floater. Comparing with responses of the non-perforated floater, those of the proposed floating structure were reduced to above 10% and 2%, respectively for regular and irregular wave conditions.

  • In general, the caisson having the perforated wall is used to for the purpose of reducing the wave reflection and wave overtopping. In this study, the hydraulic characteristics (reflection coefficient) of the perforated wall caisson chamber filled with aggregates (rocks) were investigated with hydraulic model tests. When the perforated wall chambers were filled with aggregates, the reflection coefficients would increase. However, it was confirmed that the rock filling method into the perforated wall chamber could secure the stability of the structures and satisfy the hydraulic characteristics at a certain level.

  • 본 연구에서는 구조물 상치에 에어챔버를 설치하여 챔버 내부의 공기주입량에 따라 흘수심을 조절 할 수 있는 유공 및 투수성부유식방파제를 사용하였으며, 부유식방파제의 흘수심구간에 유공을 두어 내부의 흐름에 따른 에너지소산 효과를 수리모형실험을 통하여 분석하였다. 기존 연구에 의하여 선행되어진 부유식방파제의 형상은 구조물 제체의 입사면과 투과면이 막힌 형태의 연구가 대다수였으나, 계류라인의 장력에 따른 부체의 안정성을 고려하여 본 수리모형실험에서는 입사면 흘수심구간과 투과면 흘수심구간에 유공 및 투수층을 두어 진행하는 입사파랑을 일부 흡수하도록 하였다. 또한, 부유식방파제 흘수심단면의 내부에서 흐름변화에 의한 에너지소산 효과와 입사면과 투과면의 유공률 변화에 따른 방파성능을 무공 부유식방파제와 비교하며 효율성을 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구는 판에 존재하는 유공형상에 따른 응력 집중 해석이다. 일반으로 판은 가공이 쉽고 제작이 편리하여 그 사용이 많다. 이러한 판의 연결에는 원형의 유공을 이용하는 경우가 많고 구조물의 중량감소를 목적으로 유공을 만드는 경우도 있다. 그러나 판에 존재하는 유공의 경우 응력 집중으로 인한 균열생성과 같은 단점을 가진다. 이를 보완하기 위해 유공부의 최적설계 및 응력해석과 같은 많은 연구들이 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 원형, 정사각형과 정삼각형의 유공을 유한 요소 프로그램을 이용하여 시뮬레이션하고 유공형상에 따라 판에 발생하는 응답을 알아보았다. 또한 원형유공의 응답을 기준으로 정사각형과 정삼각형 유공의 모서리의 곡률반경을 변화시켰을 때 발생하는 응답을 비교하였다. 상용 유한 요소 프로그램인 ANSYS/Workbench를 사용하여 인장응력하의 유공판의 응답 해석을 수행하였으며 얻어진 결과를 유공의 형상, 곡률반경의 변화에 따라 분석하였다.

Experimental Investigation of the Drag Coefficient of Porous Road Signs (유공형 도로표지의 항력계수에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Recently, various technologies have been developed for road facilities to reduce the load, some of which use technologies employing perforated plates for wind load reduction. Currently, there are no regulations concerning the drag coefficient of perforated plates for domestic road facilities. In the United States, the regulations regarding the drag coefficient of perforated plates in the 'Minimum design loads for buildings and other structures' were revised based on the studies of Letchford (2001) and Giannoulis (2012). In this study, a wind tunnel test was carried out to analyze the feasibility of applying regulations involving the perforated plates' drag coefficient. The results of the wind tunnel test and the drag coefficient used in the regulation were compared and analyzed. In addition, the reduction effect of the cross area of road signs calculated by applying the drag coefficient was analyzed. The results of the wind tunnel test and the value of the drag coefficient used in the regulation in the US were found to be very similar. Therefore, it was found that it is possible to apply the formula involving the drag coefficient of the perforated plate to the regulation and that the cross area of the perforated plate used for the post of the road sign is reduced by about 9.45% and that of the horizontal post by about 6.45%.

  • In addition to the traditional breakwater faculty, multipurpose breakwater of vertical slit type perforated breakwater was planed and designed using the idea of waterfront and wave dissipation of breakwater. As a result of experimental test, the good hydraulic characteristics was confirmed by comparison of traditional structure, and in order to the field application the section was improved on the test of result.

  • Various kinds of shear connector such as headed stud, channel, perforated steel plate and others are commonly used to transfer stress and present composite performance in composite structures, and many researches have been conducted to improve the characteristics of different types of shear connectors. It is focused in this study on the bending performance of steel pipe pile cap with the open type perforated shear connector for the composite connection to the spread footing. Nonlinear analysis was conducted, using ABAQUS, a finite element analysis program, to obtain information for determining the characteristics of the structure and to allow various parametric analysis for bending performance of steel pipe pile cap with the open perforated shear connector.
