A Study on the Risk of Lightning in Special Structures and its Verification Method (특수 구조물의 낙뢰 위험도와 검증 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Free-standing structures that are especially high are more likely to receive brain attacks caused by lightning. Since special structures are generally part of national industrial structures, lightning strikes mostly cause socio-economic damage. Lightning protection facilities are installed to prevent such lightning damage, but in 2015, support cables on West Sea bridges were hit by lightning, causing a lot of economic damage. Accordingly, the design of a lightning protection system shall establish protective measures after analyzing the risk of debris falling onto the structure. In this thesis, lightning strikes are analyzed directly in relation to the modeling system that operates the actual information collection system for lightning strikes, depending on the location of the tall, free-standing structures, and practical lightning hazard information is provided by a meteorological station. In addition, we propose monitoring and applying a probability correction rate to the calculation of the lightning risk based on the number of lightning strikes directly reaching the ground in order to obtain an effective lightning risk assessment.

A Study on Improvement of Structural Strength Evaluation Methods for Tank of Tank Car used for Carrying Hazard Materials (위험물 수송 철도차량 탱크의 구조강도 평가방법 개선연구)

  • In this study, we researched about characteristics of many kinds of tank cars for carrying hazard materials and performed structural strength evaluation using finite element analysis for tank of asphalt tank car to suggest the efficient analysis method that can develop accuracy regarding to characteristics of tank cars. For this, we analyzed the asphalt tank refer to JIS E 7102 (Design Method for Tanks of Tank Cars). As results, we could show that the maximum stress is applied at the area supported by saddle and the maximum stress is under a criterion suggested from JIS E 7102. Therefore we verified that this asphalt tank car had enough structural strength.

The Study of the Compatibility of MSDS for the Classification of Flammable Materials (위험물의 분류를 위한 MSDS 이용의 적정성 연구)

  • The usage of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is increased world widely for the implementation of GHS and REACH. In order to know the accuracy of the data in MSDS the flash point of n-Decanol was measured by using a Tag closed tester, a Seta-flash closed tester, a Pensky-Martens closed tester and a Cleveland open tester in Japan and Korea, respectively. The test results of flash points of n-Decanol purchased different manufacturer were compared to the data of the references and MSDS. The flash points determined in Japan were similar to those in Korea but have shown much difference from those in MSDS and literatures. It is suggested that the results of flash points determined in this research have validity and manufacturers should be more careful when they make MSDS as well as for the classification of GHS and REACH.

  • 현재 대구시 소방관들은 소화전, 위험물들의 위치가 모바일 어플리케이션화 되어있지 않다. 이로 인해 관리 및 화재시 현장에 나갈 때 바로 검색할 수 없기 때문에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소화전과 위험물의 모든 정보를 제공하는 모바일 어플리케이션을 통하여 언제 어디서나 소화전과 위험물의 위치와 정보에 접근할 수 있게 하였다. 이와 함께 현재 소방대원들이 사용하는 무전기외 간섭, 끊김, 차단등과 같은 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 기존의 무전기가 사용하던 주파수대역보다 안정되고 좋은 품질의 Wi-FI 통신망을 이용하여 높은 통화품질의 모바일 단말기 기반의 무전통신 서비스를 제공한다.
