A Study on Active Suspension Robust Control with Sensor and Actuator Location (센서위치를 고려한 능동 서스펜션 강인제어에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposed modelling and design method in suspension system design to analyze sky hook damper system by adopting active robust control theory. Recent in the field of suspension system design it is general to adopt active control scheme for stiffness and damping, and connection with other vehicle stability control equipment is also intricate, it is required for control system scheme to design more robust, higher response and precision control equipment. It is known that sky hook suspension system is better than passive spring-damper system in designing suspension equipment. We analyze location of sensor and actuator in sky hook system and its motion equation, then design robust control system. Numerical example is shown for validity of robust control system design in active sky hook suspension system.

Hovering System for Autonomous Flight of Multi-copter (멀티콥터의 자율비행을 위한 호버링 시스템)

  • As the era of the 4th industrial revolution comes, there is a growing interest in the use of UAVs. While various technologies are being developed using drones, controlling flight of drones is the most basic. Hovering control is essential in order to enable autonomous flight, especially during flight control of drones. In this paper, we design drones based on ATmega2560, Sonar, Optical Flow, and acceleration / gyro 6 axis sensor for drones hovering control, and developed horizontal control, altitude control, position tracking and fixed algorithm based on PID control. In this research, in order to measure the objective result of the drone, keeping the altitude immediately after the drone takes off according to the time, measure the movement value until the position is fixed and stable hovering is maintained and compared analyzed. Experimental results show that the drones can stably hover within 4cm horizontal and 2cm vertical from 50cm above the reference coordinates.

Study on Solar Tracker Control Method using AC Motor and CdS Sensor (AC 모터 및 CdS 센서를 이용한 태양 추적 장치 제어 방법에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the solar tracker has been used to improve the efficiency of solar energy. Solar tracking technologies are classified into the sensor-based method, the program-based method, and the hybrid method. Solar trackers using an AC motor and CdS sensor are low in cost, but the precision of the positions is low, owing to the inertia of the motor and the scattering of sunlight. To compensate for the low precision, we implement a CdS sensor module and propose an AC motor control method using error value. To evaluate the performance of the solar tracker, we implemented a solar water heater. From the experimental results, the solar tracker can achieve ${\pm}2mm$ accuracy for sun, can satisfy ${\pm}15mm$ as a limited error value, and provides a 32% performance enhancement in KSB8202 criteria.

  • An increase in EGR rate can reduce NOx emissions. On the other hand, an excessive EGR rate is a major cause of incomplete combustion. Precise position control of the EGR valve that is optimized for the operating conditions of the engine should be supported to meet the strict emission regulations. Accordingly, this study performed mathematical modeling and control theory for characteristic analysis of an EGR valve motor. Because it is a step for controlling the position of the EGR valve motor using the Microchip development tool, this study analyzed the characteristics of the motor for each opening and closing section according to the input value of the duty ratio of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation).

  • A main technology of opening and closing a sluice gate is accurate synchronous and position control for the two cylinders when they are moving with the sluice gate together over 10[m]. Since the supply flow and supply pressure of cylinders are not constant and a nonlinear friction force of the piston in cylinders exists, a difference will be made between the displacement of two cylinders. This difference causes the sluice gate to deform and abrade, and even it may be out of order. In order to solve this problem we design two kinds of fuzzy PI controllers. The former is for a position control of two cylinders, the latter is for their synchronous control. We show some simulation results compare the performance of fuzzy PI controller to the conventional PID controller.

  • We propose Dynamic Circle Location Register (DCLR) scheme where each visiting location register (VLR) has a given fixed circle registration area around itself and has IDs of other VLRs in this circle area. Whenever a terminal moves to another registration area (RA), system computes whether the terminal is located in the current DCLR area and sends the recent location information of terminal to the old or new DCLR according to computing results. Also, according to change DCLR circle dynamically, we can track terminal location by querying DCLR of the current terminal when a call originates. The our scheme solves the HLR bottleneck due to the terminals frequent RA crossings and distributes the registration traffic to each of the local signaling transfer point (LSTP) area in wireless communications (WC)

  • 위상배열 안테나 시스템에서 빔 제어 기술은 이동통신 및 위성통신시스템, 비행하고 있는 임의의 비행체의 위치를 고도의 정확도를 가지고 추적하는 군사용 레이더 시스템이나 항공사의 통신 시스템, 선박이나 차량간의 충돌을 방지하기 위한 충돌방지 시스템 등에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 위상배열 안테나 시스템에서 위상천이기를 이용하는 방법이 널리 사용되고 있다. 이 방법은 원리적으로 간단하지만 실제 구현할 때 위상천이기를 제어하기 위한 제어 신호와 DC 바이어스 라인들 그리고 전력분배기로 구성되어 있기 때문에 전체 회로가 복잡해진다. 뿐만 아니라 현재로서는 위상천이기의 가격과 삽입 손실 때문에 저렴하고 높은 이을 갖는 위상 배열 안테나 시스템을 구현하기가 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 위상천이기를 사용하지 않고 발진기들의 결합을 이용함으로써 이와 같은 단점을 극복하면서 배열 안테나의 복사 빔을 제어할 수 있는 결합발진기 배열 안테나의 최근 기술동향을 분석하고 여러 기술들의 장단점을 기술한다.

Study on a New Method for Precise Stop Control of Metro Trains: In Case of Large Speed Error (도시철도 열차 정위치 정차제어의 새로운 방안에 대한 연구: 속도 오차가 큰 경우)

  • One of the requirements of metro trains is to stop with precision to ensure that the train can stop precisely at the designated location on the platform. If this is not satisfied, interference with the screen door occurs, causing inconvenience to passengers and delays in operation. In the case of an automatic operated train, the current position is determined by the current speed information of the train, and control is performed by issuing an acceleration/deceleration command. Therefore, accurate control becomes impossible if the error of the speed information is large. In metro railroads, a Precision Stop Marker (PSM) is used to correct the position error, so that the error of stop control can be reduced by correcting the position error at a specific point. On the other hand, because the PSM itself has only position information, it does not compensate for the speed error. This paper proposes a method for performing in-place stop control by estimating the speed with the PSM progress information. The speed can be estimated when the train is operated at a constant deceleration speed, and the target deceleration can be obtained to perform stop control. The feasibility and excellence of the proposed method are shown through a numerical simulation.

  • This essay examines the recent proliferation of location-based services (LBS) within the context the expansion of the technologies of remote identification, monitoring, and tracking. Following the spatial turn in the social sciences, this essay aims to analyze LBS as a surveillance technology that can re-shape the spatial configuration of its users and their identity. The analytic focus of this essay is on LBS within the global information infrastructure, and it utilizes key LBS examples in the US and South Korea. First, as a way to discuss the technical possibilities of LBS for spatial coordination and surveillance, this essay investigates its technical architecture in terms of information flow. It then discusses the issue of privacy in LBS by analyzing some of its key legal and regulatory issues. The combination of the global information infrastructure with location-related technologies has enabled LBS companies to expand the scope of surveillance over the ever-increasing computer-mediated activities, prompting heated discussions over whether LBS is capturing "Every Moment in Your Life." This essay concludes with a discussion on how location technologies have provided a key platform for the rise of surveillance capitalism through the creation of what Marc $Aug{\acute{e}}$ called a "non-place," a place where the identified self is constituted by LBS.
