In order to assess the reliability of engine mount for a vehicles, life test model and procedure are developed. By using this method, failure mechanism and life distribution are analyzed. The main results are as follows; i) the main failure mechanism is degradation failure of engine mount rubber by fatigue failure at dynamic load. ii) temperature is a second factor to affect a failure. iii) the life distribution of engine mount module is fitted well to Weibull life distribution and the shape parameter is 18.4 and the accelerated life model of that is fitted well to Arrhenius model.

The symptomatology of suprascapular neuropathy is variable, depending principally on the etiology and location of the lesion. Among them, suprascapular nerve entrapment with isolated paralysis of the infraspinatus muscle is uncommon. We report a 27-year-old man presenting with right arm weakness. Based on the electrophysiologic and imaging findings, suprascapular neuropathy at the spinoglenoid notch due to cystic mass lesion was diagnosed.

In this paper, we compared domestic with foreign pilot lamps installed on the instrument board or electronic modules (car audio, air-conditional system, etc.) of an automotive vehicle by an accelerated life test in order to estimate the life of domestic pilot lamps. An accelerated life test method was developed and the relation of the life and voltage stress was analyzed. The main results are as follows; i) $B_{10}$ life of pilot lamp is above 5,000 hours, vehicle travel time for 10 years. ii) the life of domestic pilot lamp is longer than that of foreign thing. iii) the life distribution of domestic pilot lamp is wider than that of foreign thing. iv) it is possible to promote import replacement of automobile pilot lamp.

Purpose: Neuroendocrine carcinomas of the stomach account for only about $0.3\%$ of all gastric tumors. The prognosis of this disease is very poor compared with the common type of gastric adenocarcinoma. The purpose of this retrospective study was to review the clinicopathologic features of 18 cases of this unusual gastric tumor and to establish a treatment strategy for this tumor. Materials and Methods: Excluding 2 cases of non-curative resection and 1 case of operative mortality, 18 cases of typical neuroendocrine carcinoma who had curative resection from January 1991 to December 2000 at Asan Medical Center were analyzed; 6841 gastric cancer patient were treated surgically during the same period. Results: The mean age at the time of diagnosis was 58.6 years (range: $35\∼75$ yr). Sixteen patients were male, and two were female. Eleven tumors ($61.1\%$) developed in the lower part of the stomach, three ($16.7\%$) in the middle part, and three ($16.7\%$) in the upper part. One tumor involved the entire stomach. Eight cases ($44.4\%$) were Borrmann type 2, and six case ($33.3\%$) were Borrmann type 3. The mean tumor size was 6.94 cm (range: $0.6\∼15$ cm). Nine cases ($50\%$) showed recurrence of the disease, and eight of them died within 20 months. Of the nine recurred cases, 7 cases ($77.8\%$) showed liver metastasis. The mean disease-free interval was 6.8 months (range: $2.5\∼11$ months) after surgical resection, and the mean survival was 17.9 months (range: $8\∼40$ months) for recurrence cases. One patient with liver metastasis was treated with a liver-wedge resection just after diagnosis and was still alive for 37.5 months postoperatively. There were 9 deaths after the median follow- up period of 40 months (range: $8\∼72$ months). Conclusion: Gastric neuroendocrine carcinomas frequently recur at the liver, even in early stage cancer, and have a poor prognosis. We experienced a case of successful control of hepatic metastasis by surgical resection and a case of a small cell carcinoma which was successfully controlled with systemic chemotherapy.

감사원장 자문기구인 부정방지대책위원회(위원장 서영훈)는 $\ulcorner$공사질서, 어떻게 확립할 것인가?$\lrcorner$ 라는 주제로 우리 사회가 하루빨리 청산해야할 부실공사의 추방대책을 모색하는 공개토론회를 지난 9월 6일 한국 프레스센터 국제회의장에서 이시윤 감사원장을 비롯한 관련기관 및 관련업계 종사자들이 참석한 가운데 개최했다. 특히 이번 공개토론회는 우리의 안전을 위협하고 나아가서는 국가 경쟁력을 잃게 하는 부실공사의 원인을 심층진단하고 그 방지대책으로 불합리한 제도의 개선과 아울러 시민들의 감사활동을 통한 공사질서확립 방안에 대한 슬기와 지혜를 널리 모으는 중요한 자리로 후손들에게 자랑스러운 건설문화를 넘겨줄 수 있도록 밝고 건전한 공사질서를 세우는 방안에 대한 많은 의견이 있었다. 이날 이시윤 감사원장은 $\ulcorner$부실공사는 우리의 생명과 안전을 위협하고 국제적 위신을 실추시키며 국가경쟁력을 읽게 하는 부끄러운 폐습으로서 하루빨리 치유해야 할 망국병$\lrcorner$이라면서 $\ulcorner$감사원은 21세기 우리의 밝은 미래 창조를 가로막고 있는 이러한 부실공사 문제의 심각성을 인식하고 이의 근절을 최우선 과제로 정하여 감사원의 모든 감사역량을 부실공사 추방을 위한 감사활동에 기울여 왔다$\lrcorner$고 밝혔다. 또한 이시윤 감사원장은 $\ulcorner$지난해에 이어 올해는 건설환경 개선 및 품질혁신의 해로 선언하고 국민 불안감 해소를 위하여 주요시설물의 안전성 점검과 건설산업 개방에 대비한 대외경쟁력 제고의 기틀을 마련하는데 총력을 기울여 나가고 있다$\lrcorner$면서 $\ulcorner$나아가 부실공사 기동점검반을 편성 운영하여 공공공사 현장을 수시 점검하여 부실을 역동성 있게 척결하는 체제도 구축하는 등의 계획을 갖고 있다$\lrcorner$고 밝혔다.

To clear the differences of heat transfer coefficient of in-cylinder gas with fuel properties, the transient heat transfer coefficient of hydrogen gas is investigated by using the hydrogen fueled engine. The measured results were also compared with those of gasoline engine and several empirical equations. Transient heat transfer coefficients were determined by measurements of unsteady heat flux and instantaneous wall temperature in the cylinder head. As the main results, it is shown that transient heat transfer coefficients have remarkable differences according to fuel properties, and it's value for hydrogen engine is twice higher than that of gasoline engine. It means that equation of heat transfer coefficient that the effect of fuel properties is considered sufficiently, is needed to analyze or simulate the gas engine performance.

The clutch coil mounted on the automotive air conditioner is an important part which actuates the clutch to connect or disconnect the pulley and the compressor according to the climate control condition in an automobile. Here, it is generally required that the clutch coil should ensure the long term durability requirement, such as a warranty for the 10 years of field operation or 160,000 km driving, especially in a brand new item, and so forth. However, some difficulties have arisen in restoring its credibility, since domestic specifications for the part have not been yet unified. In order to ensure the reliability, test methods and assessment criteria should be standardized. Moreover, assessed lifetime under specific conditions and potential failure analysis would be important. In this study, lifetime test specifications for the clutch coil have been reviewed and methodological suggestions are provided to ensure reliability, utilizing a quality function deployment through the potential failure mode effect analysis.

Tausslg-Bing 기형은 드물게 대동맥궁 중단과 병발되며, 이 경우 양대혈관의 크기 가 현저히 달라 대동맥 전환술을 시행함에 어려움이 있다. 생후 20일 된 환아가 상기 진단으로 내원하여, 다장기부전에 대한 3주간의 집중관리 후 수술을 받았다. 수술은 심실중격 결손의 복원, 대동맥 전환술 및 광범위한 대동맥궁형성술로 이루어졌으며, 대혈관들의 크기 차이는 상행 및 하행 대동맥의 절편을 이용하여 원위신대동맥(distal neoaorta)를 형성하므로써 극복하였다. 환아는 큰 문제 없이 회복하였으며, 수술후 시행한 심도자상의 결과도 양호한 상태로 16개월간 추적 관찰중이다.

Price, one of the marketing 4p's, is a key decision variable affecting market share and the profitability of individual products. For consumers, since price is almost always known to and can be compared, it is one of the most important criteria when they make a purchase decision making. With the consumers' increasing consciousness for price due to economic recession, and the saturation of domestic apparel market, it is expected that the effect of price on consumers' decision making would be greater than ever. This study, the first in two part series, focuses on testing the validity of dimensions of clothing price using Lichtenstein et. at. (1993)'s suggestion. In addition, the effect of demographic variables on the perception of each price dimension was investigated. The subjects were 264 college students living in Seoul, Korea. The data were collected by self -administered questionnaires and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, regression analysis and Lisrel confirmatory factor analysis. The result supported Lichtenstein et. al. (1993)'s suggestion. That is, consumers' perception of clothing price is not mini-dimensional, but has six dimensions: sale proneness, price mavenism, value consciousness, price consciousness, price -quality schema and prestige sensitivity. Demographic variables partially effect on the consumers' perception of each clothing price dimension. The level of monthly pocket money, however, has influence on all price dimensions. Based on these results, marketing implications for apparel manufacturers were suggested.
