  • Geodetic datums define the size and shape of the earth and the origin and orientation of the coordinate systems used to map the earth. A lot of different datums have been developed and each nation uses its own datum as the basis for coordinate systems used to identify positions in geographic information systems. Recently GPS receivers are widely used to find out location and GPS is based on the World Geodetic System 1984(WGS-84) datum. Therefore the diversity of datums in use today requires accurate conversion between coordinates in different datums. In this study a coordinate conversion program on Windows is developed to transform between Tokyo Bessel(1941), which is the reference datum in Korea, and WGS-84. Several examples of coordinate conversion are presented and computed results are tested and proved to be correct.

  • MFOD(Multi-Fuction Observation Devices) must be observed and measured the distance of the target with laser rangefinder, as well as satellite navigation devices and magnetic north by taking advantage of measuring the exact coordinates of the target is a portable observation. In this paper, it suggests for the multi-function observational study concepts of honor for the optimal design through the highest performance and lightest weight on how to implement the approach in theory.

  • Bicycles are a pollution-free means of transportation. In addition to leisure, the use of bicycles is increasing as alternative eco-friendly transportation. Accordingly, bicycle accidents are also increasing. The purpose of this study is to implement bicycle black box technology to identify situation when a bicycle accident occurs. Currently, bicycle black box products are mainly based on video cameras, and are commercially available by adding various functions mainly on high resolution cameras and are sold at high prices. If a bicycle accident occurs, quantitative data on the accident location at the time of the accident and the state of the bicycle at the time of the accident is required. In this study, IMU sensor used to obtain acceleration and slope, and time and coordinates are obtained. In addition, real-time acceleration and tilt data while is stored in memory card and by using Bluetooth transmit to the smart phone owned by the in real time to prevent accidents and to monitor status.
