A Study of Social Media User Response about Firms' Crisis Response Strategies (기업의 위기대응전략에 대한 소셜 미디어 이용자의 반응 연구)

  • The importance of online communication is getting increased by the rapid growth of smartphone supply and Social Network Service (SNS) use. Catching up with the trend, firms are actively use SNS to improve brand image, promote products, and communicate with customer. On the one hand, SNS is the channel for firms' marketing activities, but on the other, it is also the channel where the events related to the firms propagate in real time. Firms are led to unexpected state of crisis, when events are quickly spread out on SNS. Then firms are assessed their image by the way they deal with the state of crisis. This paper proposes to figure out user response on SNS according to each crisis response strategies by analyzing event-related twitter data when crisis situations of firms arise. We classify crisis response strategies into response attitude, defensive and accommodative response, and response speed, fast and slow response. This paper suggests optimal crisis response strategy to firms regarding state of crisis propagated on SNS.

Empirical Analysis on the Stress Test Using Credit Migration Matrix (신용등급 전이행렬을 활용한 위기상황분석에 관한 실증분석)

  • In this paper, we estimate systematic risk from credit migration (or transition) matrices under "Asymptotic Single Risk Factor" model. We analyzed transition matrices issued by KR(Korea Ratings) and concluded that systematic risk implied on credit migration somewhat coincide with the real economic cycle. Especially, we found that systematic risk implied on credit migration is better than that implied on the default rate. We also emphasize how to conduct a stress test using systematic risk extracted from transition migration. We argue that the proposed method in this paper is better than the usual method that is only considered for the conditional probability of default(PD). We found that the expected loss critically increased when we explicitly consider the change of credit quality in a given portfolio, compared to the method considering only PD.

  • 1967년 지역사회 발전과 지역간 경제력격차의 해소를 위해 설립된 대구은행은 설립 후 30년간 내실경영 및 경영혁신을 기반으로 1997년 총수신고 10조의 고지를 달성하였고 지방은행 선두자리를 확고히 한 바 있으며 일반은행권을 포함하여도 8위권을 유지하면서 지방금융기관으로서 자립기반을 구축한 바 있다. 그러나 1997 년 말 밀어닥친 IMF 외환위기의 충격으로 대구은행은 생존자체가 불투명해졌으나 지역사회의 뜨거운 성원과 은행 임직원의 지역밀착형 마케팅 활동을 통하여 위기를 슬기롭게 극복하여 부실여신의 조기감축을 통한 클린뱅크의 구현과 세계기준(Global Standard)에 부합하는 선진경영의 틀을 갖추어 나감으로써 독자생존을 위한 기반을 마련해 나가고 있다. 본 사례는 대구은행의 IMF 사태 시 위기상황을 소개하고, 위기상황에서의 생존을 건 구조조정 프로그램과 위기관리 과정을 소개한 후, 초일류 지역은행으로의 재탄생을 위한 기반이 되었던 지역밀착경영 (K-프로젝트) 및 이와 관련된 프로그램과 그에 따른 성과를 소개한다.

  • This study is to review the attitude of consumers on the crisis response strategy (defensive vs. receptive) that the company implements in crisis situations. Also, the interaction between the crisis response strategy that the company implements and the crisis type of companies (corporate ability vs corporate social responsibility) was discussed. In addition, the interaction between the messages (abstract vs. concrete) of public interest associated marketing implemented prior to crisis situations and the crisis response strategy implemented after crisis situations was discussed. And these results were reviewed to see if the same result can come out after controlling the involvement on consumer's public interest associated marketing as a covariate. The main results of this study are as follows. First, regarding the crisis response strategy, in the company's crisis response strategy, the receptive attitude was more favorable for the consumer's attitude than the defensive attitude. Second, it was seen that there is a significant interaction between the crisis response strategy of companies and the crisis type of companies. Third, it was seen that the crisis response strategy of companies has a significant interaction with the message type of public interest associated marketing. Lastly, the involvement showed a significant effect as a covariate and the interaction between the crisis response strategy of companies, the crisis type of company and the message type of public interest associated marketing can be confirmed even after controlling the involvement. In the conclusion of the study, the direction on implications, limitations and future.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest ways to overcome the crisis of regional industrial complexes by examining the changes that the digital transformation era will bring and the crisis situation of regional industrial complexes. To this end, first, we examine the changes brought about by the digital transformation era from various angles in the fields of industrial sites, industrial complexes, policy areas, and changes in working methods, and identify the problems and crises of local industrial complexes from various aspects. According to the problems and crises of these existing local industrial complexes, plans and various policy tasks were presented for local industrial complexes to overcome the crisis using digital technology. As a result of this study, important policy directions and alternatives for overcoming the crisis of local industrial complexes in stagnation are presented at the government level, and plans for strengthening self-sustainability to overcome the crisis at the corporate level and digital transformation for future local industrial complexes It was possible to look at the direction and tasks of the project from various aspects.

  • Situational Crisis communication theory (SCCT), one of the major crisis communication theories, suggests that crisis managers have to choose the most effective crisis response strategy in accordance to the crisis type. Therefore, this study analyzed whether the crisis response strategies of Korea companies are different according to the types of crisis. According to the result of analysis on survey to PR managers, the crisis response strategies are different according to the types of crisis. And the role and function of PR team are different according to the types of crisis, too. This conclusion can contribute to devising SCCT theory and to develop a more Korea relevant theory.

A Study on Implementation of a Disaster Crisis Alert System based on National Disaster Management System

  • In this paper, we propose a function and service of the Disaster Crisis Alert Management System that automatically analyzes the situation judgment criteria to issue a disaster crisis alert and a plan to operate in the National Disaster Management System(NDMS). In the event of a disaster, a crisis alert(interest-caution-alert-serious) is issued according to the crisis alert level. In order to automatically analyze and determine the crisis alert level, first, data collection, crisis alert level analysis, crisis alert level judgment, and disaster crisis alert management system that expresses the crisis alert level by spatial scale(province, city, district) were implemented. The crisis alert level was analyzed and expressed in two ways by applying the intelligent crisis alert level(determination of regional sensitivity, risk level, and crisis alert level) and the crisis alert standard of the crisis management manual(province-level standard setting). Second, standard metadata, linkage of situation information of target) and API standards for data provision are presented to jointly utilize data linkage and crisis alert data of the disaster and safety data sharing platform so that it can be operated within the NDMS.

  • 'IMF보다 어려운 상황'. 인쇄출판업자들의 한결같은 지적이다. 외환위기 이후 1999년부터 매년 큰 폭의 회복세를 보이다가 작년부터 성장이 둔화되어 올해에는 침체의 늪으로 빠지는 듯한 흐름을 보여주고 있어, 그 심각성이 더하다. 도대체 무엇 때문인가. 가장 큰 원인은 전반적인 국내, 국제경기의 침체에서 찾을 수 있겠으나, 사회문화적 요인도 간과할 수 없다. 간단히 말해 독자들이 변했다는 것이다.

  • 재난 및 위기상황이 발생하면 해당 상황을 신속하고 정확하게 파악해야 많은 사람들을 구조할 수 있다. 본 논문은 SNS에서 재난 및 위기 상황을 정확하게 인식하는 연구를 진행한다. 텍스트 정규화, 워드 토큰화, 단어 임베딩 과정을 통해 전처리를 진행하고 키워드와 여러 특징들을 뽑아 SVM classifier를 사용하여 분류 작업을 실시한다. 실험결과 재난과 연관이 있는 경우에 해시태그의 빈도수, URL 빈도수, 두 키워드간의 거리가 다른 특징들의 조합보다 더 좋은 결과를 나타내었다.
