A Study of Hierarchical Characteristics by the Spatial Compositions and the Forms of Activity Areas in Nursing Facilities for the Elderly (노인요양시설 활동공간의 구성유형과 형태별 위계적 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic information about design guidelines of activity areas in elderly nursing facilities. For the study, the activity areas of 44 facilities in Korea were investigated to categorize their spatial compositions and forms, and then a case study about 19 facilities was conducted to analyse their hierarchical characteristics. The results of the study were as follows: First, the major type of spatial composition among 44 research facilities was concentration, but compartment type was the main among unit-care facilities. By the year, all the types of spatial composition were evenly distributed during recent five years, while concentration type was about 40% before 2003. Second, the major form of activity areas was hall or corridor extension for large group. But there was more alcove or separation form among small group spaces. Third, in the case analysis about hierarchical characteristics, hall and corridor extension form met the requirements of accessibility and openness of public and semi-public areas. On the other hand, separation form had a problem in satisfying both requirements. The semi-private areas, which were around the elderly bedrooms and the elderly were able to watch activities in, were not sufficient in many facilities. Fourth, the division of public and semi-public area was mainly by furniture, and the individuality of semi-private area was defined by dead-end place and corner seats of the window or the corridor. The diversity of semi-private area was likely to be appeared in connection or distribution type. On the basis of the results, the basic design guidelines for activity areas in elderly nursing facilities could be suggested as follows: On the whole, connection or distribution type in spatial composition is more efficient for hierarchical flow than concentration or compartment type is, especially in Korean facilities having many elderly residents per floor. In detail, the design of public and semi-public area should be focused on their openness and accessibility. The recommended forms of activity areas were hall or corridor extension in public area, and living room, corridor extension, or large corridor in semi-public area to effectively function as large or small group spaces. In semi-private areas, the spatial diversity and individuality should be considered.

The effects of work environmental factors and self-compassion on burnout of school counselors (학교 상담자의 업무환경 요인 및 자기자비가 소진에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of work environmental factors and self-compassion on the burnout of school counselors. The subjects of this study were 312 school counselors under the D District Office of Education participated. In order to examine the effects of individual, organizational, and self-compassion factors on burnout, correlation and hierarchical regression were applied. Individual factors were gender, age, health status, and personal hobbies. Organizational factors were employment type, working hours, and job satisfaction. Self-compassion and burnout were measured using the Korean version of self-compassion and Baslach burnout instruments. The correlation analysis showed that the three factors are correlated with each other. In the hierarchical regression analysis, three models were developed as personal, organizational, and self-compassion factors. The results of regression analysis are as follows. The influence of self-compassion on burnout was stronger than the organizational factor (i.e., employment type, working time, job satisfaction) and the personal factor (i.e., age, health status, hobby). There were no significant differences between genders. This study results suggest that self-compassion can reduce a level of burnout significantly, although personal and organizational factors have a significant impact on burnout. Further study and suggestions for reducing the level of burnout of school counselors were discussed.

  • 지구과학 분야에서 가장 어렵게 느껴지는 내용인 천문분야는 다른 과학 분야와 달리 탐구 대상이 천체들이 먼거리에 있고, 쉽게 관측하기 어려우며, 실험실에서 동일실험과 반복 실험이 불가능하여, 추상적이고 직접 관측하기 어려운 개념에 관한 연구들이 많다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 레이저 커팅기를 사용해 지구과학교과 중 별자리를 구성하는 별들의 상대적 거리를 수학적으로 계산하는 과정과 고등학교 물리교과 중 LED 광원의 원리를 알고 LED 모듈을 제작하여 최종적으로 아름답고 과학적으로 가치가 있는 입체 별자리 교구를 제작하는 형태의 STEAM 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 시범학교 적용을 하였다. 이에 지능정보화 사회에 발맞춰 천문학 지식을 창의 교육의 형태로 교육하는 새로운 교육법을 실현한 연구결과들을 발표하고자 한다. 또한 개발한 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하기 위해 STEAM 관련 태도 검사와 논리적 사고력 검사 및 만족도 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 개발된 프로그램이 STEAM 태도 검사와 논리적 사고력에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 천문수업에 대한 학생들의 인식은 긍정적이었다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 다양한 학년 및 위계에 맞는 프로그램의 개발과 다양한 지역 등의 현장 적용을 통한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

Parent Education in Home Economics Education (가정과 교육에서의 부모교육 - 중·고등학교 교과과정을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relational components of parent education curriculum for college students and home economics curriculum for middle and high school students in Korea. The continuity and hierarchy of the parent education curriculum for college students and the 'human development and family' domain of home economics curriculum for middle and high school students were examined. The major findings were as follows. First, the components of 'human development and family' domain of middle school home economics curriculum in 2015 revision were considerably related with the components of parent education curriculum for college students. Second, the components of 'human development and family' domain of high school home economics curriculum in 2015 revision were considerably related with the components of parent education curriculum for college students. Third, the components of 'human development and family' domain in middle and high school home economics curriculum in 2015 revision and parent education curriculum for college students showed a hierarchical pattern in range and depth of contents. On the basis of these findings, the effectiveness of teaching parent education in middle and high school curriculum was discussed.

  • 최근 사물인터넷 등의 IT기술의 발전과 함께 수리 계측 분야에서도 자동 유속 및 유량 측정장비들에 대한 연구와 적용이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 하지만 최근 개발된 자동 유속 측정 장비들은 설치가 어려울 뿐만 아니라 비용이 많이 들기 때문에 쉽게 적용하기가 어려워 극히 소수의 지점에서만 운영 중에 있으며 전국 2만2,823개소에 달하는 소하천에 적용하기에는 무리가 있다. 이와 같은 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 보다 간편하고 경제적인 유속 측정 방법으로 주목을 받고 있는 방법이 표면영상유속계이다. 표면영상유속계는 일반 동영상 촬영 장비와 분석 소프트웨어만 있으면 유속을 측정할 수 있기 때문에 매우 경제적이고, 비접촉식으로 유속을 측정하기 때문에 흐름에 방해를 주지 않을뿐만 아니라 홍수 시 유속 측정의 위험성을 최소화 할 수 있다는 장점이 있어, 유량과 수위가 급격하게 변하는 국내 소하천의 유량측정에 적절하게 대응할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존의 표면영상유속계를 실시간 자동유량계측이 가능하도록 시스템화 하여 개선하였다. CCTV 기반의 실시간 소하천 자동유량계측 시스템의 구성은 CCTV, 초음파수위계, 현장제어함체 및 조명으로 구성되어 있고, 현장제어함체에는 CCTV 영상분석 S/W가 설치되어 있으며, 실시간으로 산정한 유속자료와 초음파수위계로 측정한 수위자료를 이용하여 유량을 자동으로 산정하도록 개발하였다. 또한 울주군에 위치한 중선필천에 설치하여 적용성 여부 및 현장검증을 실시하였으며, 2018년 홍수사상에 대한 유량계측을 실시한 결과 표면영상만으로 소하천의 유속을 매우 짧은 시간에 계측할 수 있어 소하천의 급격한 유량 변화를 매우 안정적으로 계측하여 온전한 홍수 사상을 확보 할 수 있었다. 또한, 현장 계측 인력 없이도 CCTV 영상으로 현장상황을 파악할 수 있어 홍수대응 지원도 가능한 장점이 있음을 확인하였다.

Analysis of the Impact of Residents Participation Activities on Continued Motivation in an Urban Regeneration Project: Focused on Sajik-dong, Cheongju-si (도시재생사업에서 주민참여활동이 지속적 참여 동기에 미치는 영향 분석: 청주시 사직2동을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to analyze the effects of residents participation activities on continued motivation in an urban regeneration project. For the analysis, this study was conducted the survey residents who participated in Cheongju-si urban regeneration project. Based on the survey, this study examined residents' awareness and analyzed the resident participation activities that affect the participation motivation(reward, sense of achievement, sense of expectation)through hierarchical regression analysis. The first of the results, the rewards obtained through participation activities is not affected by all resident participation activities. Second, sense of achievement obtained through participation activities such as pride or satisfaction is affected by both promotion and management of project and daily meeting activities. Finally, sense of expectation for the change of the town is only affected by daily meeting activities. These results help to find out required resident participation activities to give participation motivation inducing the continued participation in the urban regeneration project.

A Study on Development and Validation of Digital Literacy Measurement Tool (디지털 리터러시 측정도구의 개발 및 예측타당성 검증 연구)

  • Recently, virtual communication has become a standard tool due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Likewise online communication is emerging as an essential competency. In this study, we aimed to develop a comprehensive and systematic digital literacy measurement tool reflecting the changes and needs of society. Construct variables were drawn by characterizing existing digital literacy measurement tools. Thirty-four items corresponding to the concept of each variable were developed. The developed measurement tool was then evaluated in the form of surveys from university students belonging to the digital native generation, and the reliability and validity were performed through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The digital literacy measurement tool contained five sub-factors and twenty-five questions. In addition, hierarchical regression analysis was performed to verify the predictive validity of digital literacy sub-factors. Based on these findings, the implication of future research is discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the arguments about the conceptualization and the assessment of mental capacity and legal competence concerning the adult guardianship. Based on these literature reviews, the author analysed Mental Capacity Act 2005 of United Kingdom. The act conceptualizes legal competence as a concept dependent on a specific decision, time, and environmental support or convenience. According to the act, the assessment of the legal competence shall be made with ensuring the person all the viable supports and environmental conveniences. And it appears that the hierarchical assessment system of the act assures that the more the decision is important the more professional and more formal assessment shall be used. Based on these findings the author suggested several implications for the legislation of a new adult guardianship act in Korea.

A Study about the Effect of Team Members' Entrepreneurial Intention, Diversity, and Supporting Activities of Assistants on Team Learning Effectiveness and Educational Satisfaction in the Entrepreneurial Education of University Students through Team Learning (팀 학습을 통한 대학생의 창업교육에 있어서 팀원의 창업의지, 다양성 및 조력자의 지원활동이 팀 학습 유효성 및 창업교육 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether the entrepreneurship education through team learning positively influences the effectiveness of team learning and the satisfaction of entrepreneurship curriculum. To do this, we analyzed the questionnaire data of 149 students who took the entrepreneurship course that was conducted by the team learning method focused on problem solving task among the entrepreneurship courses opened in the venture autonomous major. First, we examined the effect of team learning effectiveness and entrepreneurial education satisfaction on the effectiveness of the team learning by individual's intention for startup, diversity of team members, and supporting activities of assistants as independent variables. For this, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to examine whether independent variables influenced the effectiveness of team learning, and whether the effectiveness of team learning mediates between these independent variables and entrepreneurial education satisfaction. The results of this study support the hypothesis that supporting activities of assistants will influence team learning effectiveness. However, the hypothesis that individual's intention for startup or team diversity influences team learning effectiveness was rejected. On the other hand, the results of the regression analysis show that individual's intention for startup has a significant effect on the satisfaction of entrepreneurship education. In addition, the effectiveness of team learning was found to be influential on the educational satisfaction, and it was verified that the effectiveness of team learning was mediating between the supporting activities of assistants and the satisfaction of entrepreneurship education. Especially, as a result of the hierarchical regression analysis, it was found that the significance of the supporting activities of assistants decreased remarkably. This suggests that the mediating path that affects the satisfaction of entrepreneurship education is very meaningful through the effectiveness of the team learning although the supporting activities of assistants are partially mediated. As a result of this study, it was found that the supporting activities of assistants are important in the team learning entrepreneurship education and it is also confirmed that the individual's intention for startup is also important. Especially, supporting activities of assistants were found to be an important factor affecting the satisfaction of entrepreneurship education through the effectiveness of team learning. Therefore, I think that it is essential to designing a practical education course that meets individual's intention for startup in the entrepreneurship education of university students and networking with the participation of internal and external experts or entrepreneurs. In addition, I think that it is necessary to think more thoughtfulness about the composition of team members in the team learning, and to provide more meticulous support to the effectiveness of the team learning.

  • This study is interested in modeling the selection of optimal repair materials in view of the qualitative evaluation. In order to architecting the evaluation model of various repair alternatives, Analytical hierarchy process techniques was applied to this study. It is composed of aesthetics, easy-to-application, economical efficiency, and environment-friendly properties in upper level. Among the qualitative evaluation items, Environment-friendly properties and execution cost included in economical efficiency is highly weighted. It was concluded that the evaluation model by this study is very useful to choose the best alternative among various repair materials.
