A Study on Development of WBI Program and Application for Learning Probability and Statistics in the Middle School (웹 기반의 중학교 확률과 통계를 중심으로 한 WBI 프로그램 개발 및 적용에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is dedicated to the enhancement of the second-grade students of middle school students' understanding of the basic principles and concepts of probability with the help of Web-browser-used WBI programs relating to probability and statistics in teaching them the unit of probability. I have come up with the following research problems with a view to applying and analyzing the findings. (1) A web sites in relation to the learning of probability and statistics is to be developed with the second graders of middle school in mind. (2) Is there any difference between the experiment group exposed to web-sites-aided classes and the control group going through the conventional ways of math classes when the sites is made trial use of \ulcorner (3) What response do the learners show in regard to classes which makes use of the web sites when the sites is applied\ulcorner After making an experiment with the aid of the web sites and teaching plans, I made a measurement and an analysis of the academic achievement of the subjects, their understanding of classes based on the web sites, the concentration of the learners, and their responses relating to the contents of web sites concentrating on probability and statistics. I have come to the following conclusions based on the findings. First there was a significant difference between the classes of honor students and the classes of backward pupils when T-Test was made with regard to the achievement of the subjects who divided into the experiment group and the control group. The former made use of the web sites whereas the latter stuck to the conventional way of teaching math. The former scored higher than the latter. Second, the research based on questionnaire findings shows that the web-site-aided experiment classes proved to be more effective than the traditional control classes. All in all, I think that web-aided classes will have a more positive influence on the students' interest in math and on the scholastic achievement of math than conventional classes.

Study of water drowning death patients on clinical care and prevention (수중익사 사망 환자의 임상 치료 및 예방에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate drowning death patients on clinical care and prevention. Drowning accidents that occurred in the Republic of Korea were identified by using the Emergency Activity Daily Report Data from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The age of drowning accidents was 20-29 years (25.4%). Drowning cases for the months of August was 17.6%. The main circumstance involved in the drowning cases was swimming (45.0%). Half of swimming incidents related the drowning accidents of people attempting to save a life of a family member or friend from the water. The most common location was at a lake or reservoir (40.2%). Drowning is a main cause of accidents in the Republic of Korea. Preventive strategies that may be beneficial for persons contain life jackets or life rings supply, upgrading swimming ability, placing lifeguards based on public education activities.

Processing Speed Improvement of HTTP Traffic Classification Based on Hierarchical Structure of Signature (시그니쳐 계층 구조에 기반한 HTTP 트래픽 분석 시스템의 처리 속도 향상)

  • Currently, HTTP traffic has been developed rapidly due to appearance of various applications and services based web. Accordingly, HTTP Traffic classification is necessary to effective network management. Among the various signature-based method, Payload signature-based classification method is effective to analyze various aspects of HTTP traffic. However, the payload signature-based method has a significant drawback in high-speed network environment due to the slow processing speed than other classification methods such as header, statistic signature-based. Therefore, we proposed various classification method of HTTP Traffic based HTTP signatures of hierarchical structure and to improve pattern matching speed reflect the hierarchical structure features. The proposed method achieved more performance than aho-corasick to applying real campus network traffic.

The Effect of the Reward Program in Foodservice Homepages on Customer Trust, Commitment and Loyalty (외식업 홈페이지 고객 보상 프로그램이 신뢰와 몰입 및 고객 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed at inquiring into the effect of the reward program in an online web homepage, which is most widely applied as a sales promotion tool for the foodservice industry, on customer trust, commitment and loyalty. The result is summarized as follows. The effect of the reward characteristics within a reward program on their trust and commitment showed that first, for the reward time, both compensation for delaying time and immediate time has a significantly positive effect on their trust and commitment, suggesting that the reward type as well as the reward time of a reward program is an important factor for improving their trust and commitment. In particular, indirect reward was a significant in raising their commitment or loyalty continuously, and for the reward attribute, economic reward was a significant attribute in building their trust.

Correlation Between Web OPAC Use Patterns and MBTI Personality Types (Web OPAC 이용패턴과 MBTI 성격유형의 상관관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between users' preferences of Personality types and their attitude towards patterns of Web OPAC use mainly focus on their search behaviour and their preferences for the interface. Data res collected through the MBTI test and self-designed online questionnaire. The original MBTI personality types were re-coded into 4 categories of preferences of personality types, that is, E(Extraversion), I(Introversion), S(Sensing), N(iNtuition), T(Thinking)-F(Feeling), and J(Judging)-P(Perception) and then analysed their correlation with patterns of Web OPAC use by Person's correlation coefficient (r) in SPSS Windows Ver. 11.0. It is noteworthy that 9 out of 28 factors of Web OPAC search behaviour and preferences for interfaces show statistically significant correlation with users' MBTI preferences of personality types.

Selecting a key issue through association analysis of realtime search words (실시간 검색어 연관 분석을 통한 핵심 이슈 선정)

  • Realtime search words of typical portal sites appear every few seconds in descending order by search frequency in order to show issues increasing rapidly in interest. However, the characteristics of realtime search words reordering within too short a time cause problems that they go over the key issues of the day. This paper proposes a method for deriving a key issue through association analysis of realtime search words. The proposed method first makes scores of realtime search words depending on the ranking and the relative interest, and derives the top 10 search words through descriptive statistics for groups. Then, it extracts association rules depending on 'support' and 'confidence', and chooses the key issue based on the results as a graph visualizing them. The results of experiments show that the key issue through association rules is more meaningful than the first realtime search word.

  • As the Internet spreads, many people have interests in e-CRM and product recommender systems, one of e-CRM applications. Among various approaches for recommendation, collaborative filtering and content-based approaches have been investigated and applied widely. Despite their popularity, traditional recommendation approaches have some limitations. They require at least one purchase transaction per user. In addition, they don't utilize much information such as demographic and specific personal profile information. This study suggests new hybrid recommendation model using two data mining techniques, association rule and classification, as well as intelligent agent to overcome these limitations. To validate the usefulness of the model, it was applied to the real case and the prototype web site was developed. We assessed the usefulness of the suggested recommendation model through online survey. The result of the survey showed that the information of the recommendation was generally useful to the survey participants.

A Correlation between the Students' Awareness of School Library Service Facilitation and Self Efficacy toward Core Competencies (학교도서관 서비스 활성화 인식과 학생의 핵심역량 함양 자아효능감 간의 상관관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of school library services on fostering students' core competencies. In doing the research, web survey has been conducted and the data of 211 high school students were analyzed. First, the high school students' awareness of school library service facilitation is ranked 3.72 out of 5 point. High school student users' self efficacy is examined toward six core competencies of "2015 Revised Curriculum". The point of communication skills turns out to be 4.07 which is relatively high, and that of creative thinking skills is 3.66, which is relatively low. The analysis of correlations between awareness of school library service facilitations and core competency skills and self efficacy shows quantitatively meaningful correlations in all six competency areas. Based on the consequences of the study, the foundation will be established on the orientation of school library service and the acceleration of practice of competency-based education.

  • According to a long-term master plan for the implementing of MOMAF's marine environmental informatization, we have developed marine environment portal web site which consists of 7 main-menu and 39 sub-menu including various types of contents (text, image and multimedia) based on RDBMS. This portal site was opened in Oct., 2002 (http://www.meps.info). Also, for the national institutions' distributed DB which is archived and managed respectively the marine chemical data and biological data, the integrated retrieval system was developed. This system is meaningful for the making collaborative use of real data and could be applied for data mining, marine research, marine environmental GIS and making-decisions.

Analysis and Visualization for Comment Messages of Internet Posts (인터넷 게시물의 댓글 분석 및 시각화)

  • There are many internet users who collect the public opinions and express their opinions for internet news or blog articles through the replying comment on online community. But, it is hard to search and explore useful messages on web blogs since most of web blog systems show articles and their comments to the form of sequential list. Also, spam and malicious comments have become social problems as the internet users increase. In this paper, we propose a clustering and visualizing system for responding comments on large-scale weblogs, namely 'Daum AGORA,' using similarity analysis. Our system shows the comment clustering result as a simple screen view. Our system also detects spam comments using Needleman-Wunsch algorithm that is a well-known algorithm in bioinformatics.
