  • Various technologies for resource monitoring such as network traffic, IP resource usages have been developed. PING protocol message is one of the most simple, powerful way to monitor the network resources. In this paper we describe the efficient way to serves a real-time traffic information reports such as IP usage statistics by using saved database information. And we serve web-based traffic information services, so it can monitor a traffics more efficiently.

  • Many companies in mechanical engineering fields have accumulated information of design and manufacturing. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Data Management (PDM) systems help information gathering and data managing. However, these systems are not flexible to support suitable functionality for specific product because these systems deal with entire enterprise resources. To cope with this issue, a web-based design support system was constructed for the design process of automotive steel pulley. This system provided 1) search service for part design with key word and clustering map, and 2) estimation service of maximum stress. These services reduced design time by reducing iterative jobs with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) for stress analysis, and by enhancing search for existing data of steel pulley.

  • According as quantity of information is augmented rapidly in World Wide Web, users are investing more times finding correct information to on. Search function that a search agent is personalized according to user's preference degree or search objective to solve these problem should be offered. Therefore, a search agent accumulates experienced knowledge connected with user's past search in this research. When new query was given, search agent offered learning function of intelligence that decides category group through estimation method of similarity using this knowledge. So this paper showed that case based search can bring superior result in the correctness rate than other search method.

  • 네이버, 다음, 구글 등의 웹 상에서 제공하는 지도 서비스와 KML, GML, GeoRSS와 같은 기술들을 이용하여 하나의 위치 정보로 통합한 지리정보를 사용자에게 제공해 줄 수 있는 연구들은 현재까지 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 이러한 연구들은 위치 정보만 통하여 줄 뿐 의미 정보까지 통합하여 사용자들에게 다양한 정보들을 제공해주지 못한다. 이 논문에서는 KML, GML, GeoRSS 등으로 표현된 풍부한 지리정보들을 통합하여 웹 기반 지도 서비스에 제공해주는 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 지리정보들의 스키마 통합을 위해 어댑터 기반 의미 처리 방법과 정적/동적 의미 관리 기반 접근 방법을 혼합한 하이브리드 스키마 매칭(Hybrid Schema Matching, HSM) 방법을 제안하고, 제안 시스템의 평가를 위해 스키마 매칭을 위한 4가지 접근 방법과 비교 평가를 수행한다. 평가의 결과로 제안 시스템은 의미 해석에 대한 신뢰성이 보장되고 시스템 구축 비용과 데이터 통합 비용이 상대적으로 낮다는 특징을 지닌다.

  • 2023 년 워크넷 구직자 데이터에 따르면 취업 취약 계층은 46.4%를 차지하며, 2019 년 KOSIS 국가 통계 포털에 따르면 취업 기관 및 프로그램 이용 경험이 없는 자는 전체의 93.7%를 차지한다. 이러한 현황은 대면 프로그램 부담과 정보 부족이 원인으로, 취업 기관 및 지원 프로그램의 활용도가 낮음을 의미한다. 일자리 및 자격증 등의 정보를 각각 찾아야 하는 불편함과 대면 활동 부담, 및 구직자 간의 정보 공유 어려움 등이 문제가 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 웹 프로그램을 통해 사회적 취약 계층인 경력 단절 여성, 노인, 청년에게 구직 관련 정보를 제공하고 메타버스 가상 공간에서 다양한 활동을 통해 취업 취약 계층에게 적극적인 도움을 제공하는 서비스를 제안한다.

  • 컴퓨터와 인터넷이 발달과 함께 웹을 이용하여 다양한 학습 방법들이 개발되고 있다. 학습 활동 관리 시스템 LAMS는 효과적으로 학습 활동을 설계하고 관리할 수 있는 유용한 도구 중 하나이다. 하지만 LAMS가 우리가 플래시나 자바와 같은 외부 도구로 만든 외부의 사용자 콘텐츠들과 아무런 통신이 이루어지지 않기 때문에 완벽하게 학습 활동을 관리하지는 못한다. 본 논문의 목적은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 LAMS와 외부의 사용자 콘텐츠가 서로 통신을 할 수 있는 통신 메커니즘을 설계하고 구현하는 것이다. 이를 위해 웹 기반 교육과 LAMS의 구조와 기능 및 개발 환경에 대해 분석 하였다. 이러한 분석을 기반으로 LAMS와 외부 교육용 콘텐츠 사이의 통신 메커니즘을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이러한 메커니즘을 플래시나 자바 또는 비주얼 C++로 만든 콘텐츠에 적용할 수 있으며, 이 콘텐츠들은 LAMS의 정보를 가지고 오거나 LAMS에 정보를 전달할 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 정보를 모아 각종 통계 자료를 만들고, 이를 교육에 반영할 수 있다. 이 메커니즘은 다양한 개발 환경에서 동작하며, 이것을 이용하여 기존의 LAMS에서는 불가능했던 다양한 학습 관리가 가능하도록 하였다. 우리는 이메커니즘을 이용하여 좀 더 혁신적인 콘텐츠를 개발하고 우수한 학습 활동 관리 시스템을 구축할 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on the Development of Automation System for Social Science Research Based on Cloud (클라우드 기반의 사회과학연구 자동화 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Much of the process in Social Science Research can be expedited with use of an automation systems that can lead to research efficiency and dramatic improvement of the research process. This study proposes use of a social science research automation system based on the cloud, which generates questionnaires, supports data collection, and intuitively processes statistical analyses of the data collected. The Cloud-based Social Science Research Automation System is developed with GNU/GPL-based open source software. We also integrate R for statistical computing to enable advanced statistical analyses such as PLS structural equation modeling, mediate effect analysis, compare between groups, and complete general statistics. The Cloud-based Social Science Research Automation system developed in this study is expected to play an important role in improving the social science research process and in performing the social science studies efficiently.

Construction and Service of a Web-based Cyber-learning Platform for the Computational Science and Engineering Community in Korea (국내 계산과학공학 커뮤니티를 위한 웹 기반 사이버-러닝 플랫폼 구축 및 서비스)

  • Recently, many attentions have been paid to conducting convergence research across diverse disciplines. Along with this convergence era, an IT-based multi-disciplinary convergence project, called EDISON (EDucation-research Integrated Simulation On the Net), has been launched to support the studies of researchers engaged in several computational science and engineering (CSE) fields and to boost learning motivations of CSE students. Since 2011, we have been successfully carrying out the EDISON project. EDISON as a cyber-learning platform enables CSE researchers to share their own high-performance computing (HPC) simulation softwares developed to solve their research problems accompanying large-scale computation and I/O and users to run the softwares with little constraints on the web. Also, the EDISON platform has been utilized as lecture material by many universities in Korea. This article introduces the construction and service statistics of this EDISON platform. Specifically, we explicate several distinctions between EDISON and existing other HPC service platforms and discuss a three-layered technical architecture of the EDISON platform. We then present the up-to-date service statistics of EDISON over the past four years. Finally, we conclude this article and describe future plans.

Exploring the Effects of Task Language and Complexity in College Students' Web Searching (질의 언어 및 복잡성이 대학생의 웹 정보탐색에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The Web now provides instant access to an unprecedented amount of information that was unthinkable even 20-30 years ago. However, the full potential of the contents available through the Internet can only be realized when one can speak and understand foreign languages, especially English which accounts for more than half of web contents. In this study, we try to investigate the effect of search task languages and task complexity on searching performance. A total of thirty students enrolled at a top private university in Korea were recruited as study subjects. We set up a quasi-experimental design in which thirty subjects are randomly assigned to a set of eight different search tasks containing an equal number of simple and complex tasks and an equal number of tasks in Korean and in English. The results show that there is a significant difference between simple and complex tasks in terms of SERP time, number of queries used, correctness of results and total search time. However, task language does not seem to have affected search performance for this study group. In addition, students with high English proficiency test scores show comparable search performance in English tasks compared with lower test scores. But we note differences in behavioral patterns (different search engines used and search tactics) among the study participants.

A study to Predictive modeling of crime using Web traffic information (웹 검색 트래픽 정보를 이용한 범죄 예측 모델링에 관한 연구)

  • In modern society, various crimes is occurred. It is necessary to predict the criminal in order to prevent crimes, various studies on the prediction of crime is in progress. Crime-related data, is announced to the statistical processing of once a year from the Public Prosecutor's Office. However, relative to the current point in time, data that has been statistical processing is a data of about two years ago. It does not fit to the data of the crime currently being generated. In This paper, crime prediction data was apply with Naver trend data. By using the Web traffic Naver trend, it is possible to obtain the data of interest level for crime currently being generated. It was constructed a modeling that can predict the crime by using traffic data of the Naver web search. There have been applied to Markov chains prediction theory. Among various crimes, murder, arson, rape, predictive modeling was applied to target. And the result of predictive modeling value was analyzed. As a result, it got the same results within 20%, based on the value of crime that actually occurred. In the future, it plan to advance research for the predictive modeling of crime that takes into the characteristics of the season.
