Users usually search for the required information via search engines which contain locations of the information. However. as the amount of data gets large, the result of the search is often not the information that users actually want. In this paper a web guide is proposed in order to resolve this problem. The web guide uses case-based learning method which stores and utilizes cases based on the keywords of user's action and agent's visit. The proposed agent system learns the user's visiting actions following the input of the data to be searched, and then helps rapid searches of the data wanted.

The purpose of this study is to review, through case study, how the use of web materials has influence on the improvement of self-oriented Learning in mathematics of primary school. This is one of the ways to improve classroom lectures suggested in the 7th National Standard of Curriculum. To accomplish this, the following three studies were conducted. First, a questionnaire concerning the improvement of self-oriented Learning Skill through the use of the materials on the web was designed and analyzed. Second, the activities of the class using the web materials were recorded and the study activities of the children were observed. Third, the process of writing notes about their study using web materials was analyzed though interviews after teaching and learning. Through these studies, it has been shown how web materials contribute to the improvement of self-oriented Learning Skill.

There are lots of Web materials in the field of medicine and many search engines classify the medical materials on the Web through directories. But the organization of these directories are wanting in consistency and systematization. In order for manager of search engines to organize medical materials on the Web systematically, this paper suggests several guidelines. NLMC, a special classification system for medicine, need to be applied to develop directories of medicine in search engines. Also, items of the directories should be arranged based on the relevance of subjects among subfields of medical science. For classifying an item to several directories repeatedly, clear criteria should be established. In addition to, controlled vocabularies or glossaries for medicine such as MeSH and the English-Korean, Korean-English Medical Terminology Collection should be used for selection of the name of items in medical directories.

According to the rapid growth of Internet service, electronic commerce usage scale is growing every year. It requires the method of vitalizations of electronic commerce through reducing the software development cost and making easy of data construction. Web service, which is adapting distributed technology based on internet supports the infrastructure of reducing the software development cost through software sharing. As the shared software modules access the same data, they can reference the same data on the other site. In this paper, we designed and implemented database Processing module of the electronic commerce program using web service technology, which can make easy of site construction and sharing database. Implemented database processing module supports data selection modification insertion deletion and searching. Using this functions we showed product item information could be shared among the other electronic commerce sit.

This study used content analysis to examine the research methods in Library and Information Science journals from 1997 to 2001. Analyses measured research subjects, research method, data collection methods, data analysis methods, hypotheses, theories and research funds. Brief consideration is given to possible future methodological trends : web-based research methods, qualitative research, cooperation between academic society and librarians and research fundraising.

본 논문은 웹 사이트 평가 기법과 웹 접근성 평가 기법을 비교함으로써, 웹 사이트 평가 기법에 비해 적용 기법이 상대적으로 부족한 웹 접근성 평가 기법의 문제점을 지적하고, 이에 따른 다양한 웹 접근성 평가 기법의 활용을 제안한다. 웹 접근성이라 함은 정보기술이 발전함에 따라 소외되기 쉬운 장애인이 웹을 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 하는 것으로써, 어떤 사용자라도 보편적으로 웹을 사용할 수 있게 하는 것이다. 그러나 웹 접근성에 대한 국내외의 노력에도 불구하고, 적용되고 있는 웹 접근성 평가가 실제로는 장애인이 웹을 사용함에 있어 많은 도움이 되고 있지 않다. 따라서 실제적인 도움이 되는 웹 접근성 평가 방법의 개발과 시행이 시급하다 하겠다. 본 논문은 웹 사이트 평가 및 웹 접근성 평가 기법을 비교 조사함으로써, 현재 적용되고 있는 평가 기법의 현황 및 동향을 조사하였다. 이러한 자료를 바탕으로, 웹 접근성 평가에 있어 평가 기법 범위의 협소성과 한계를 지적하였다. 또한, 웹 접근성 평가의 평가기법상의 한계가 웹 접근성을 포함한 통합적 웹 사이트 평가의 개발에 문제가 되며, 그에 따른 많은 문제가 발생함을 지적하였다. 그리고 웹 접근성 평가에 대해 다양한 평가 기법을 활용함으로써 생기는 이점을 제시함으로써, 다양한 평가 기법을 적용한 웹 접근성 평가 방법 개발의 타당성을 제시하였다.

최근 정보 추출, 질의응답 시스템 등의 고정밀 자연어처리 어플리케이션이 부각됨에 따라 개체명 인식의 중요성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 이러한 개체명 인식을 위한 학습에는 대용량의 어휘자료를 필요로 하기 때문에 충분한 학습 데이터, 즉 개체명 태그가 부착된 충분한 코퍼스가 제공되지 못하는 경우 자료희귀문제(data sparseness problem)로 인하여 목적한 효과를 내지 못하는 경우가 않다. 그러나 태그가 부착된 코퍼스를 생성하는 일은 시간과 인력이 많이 드는 힘든 작업이다. 최근 인터넷의 발전으로 웹 데이터는 그 양이 매우 많으며, 습득 또한 웹 검색 엔진을 사용해서 자동으로 모음으로써 다량의 말뭉치를 모으는 것이 매우 용이하다. 따라서 최근에는 웹을 무한한 언어자원으로 보고 웹에서 필요한 언어자원을 자동으로 뽑는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 연구의 첫 시도로 웹으로부터 다량의 원시(raw) 코퍼스를 얻어 개체명 태깅 학습을 위한 태그 부착 코퍼스를 자동으로 생성하고 이렇게 생성된 말뭉치를 개체면 태깅 학습에 적용하는 비교 실험을 통해 수집된 말뭉치의 유효성을 검증하고자 한다. 향후에는 자동으로 웹으로부터 개체 명 태깅 규칙과 패턴을 뽑아내어 실제 개체명 태거를 빨리 개발하여 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.

인터넷 사용의 증가로 인한 정체 현상을 극복하기 위한 방안으로 캐시 서버를 사용하고 있다. 캐시 서버의 보다 효율적인 사용을 위해 할당 네트웍의 트래픽에 대한 이해는 매우 중요하다. 즉, 보다 적극적인 캐싱 전략을 수립하기 위해 트래픽 분석이 선행되어야한다. 본 논문에서는 URL- tree와 URL-net이라는 자료구조를 제안하고, 이것을 이용하여 웹 트래픽 분석을 수행한다. 이러한 자료구조를 통해 웹 트래픽에 존재하는 '참조의 연결성'이라는 성질을 찾을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 위의 두 자료구조들이 인터넷 트래픽을 분석하는데 어떻게 도움을 주고 그러한 분석이 효율적인 캐싱 전략을 수립하는데 어떻게 사용될 수 있는가를 보여준다.

급격한 교육 환경 변화와 정보 통신망의 보급.확대로 학교 교육의 정보통신 활용 학습 체제로의 전환이 가속화되고 있는 시대적 요청에 부응하여 가장 쉽게 인터넷에 접속할 수 있으면서, 학습자들이 흥미를 갖는 웹 기반 모듈형 교수.학습 자료를 개발하였다. 모듈형 웹 자료를 개발하고. 이를 교수.학습 활동에 적용하여 수업을 진행 한 결과 학습자들의 학습에 대한 흥미도와 학습 내용의 이해도 및 학업 성취도를 고취시켰으며, 또한 자기 주도적 탐구 학습이 가능하여 과학과 탐구 학습 수행 능력이 크게 향상되었다.

This study investigated the effects of the application of a variety of ICTs cause the effects on self-directed learning capability, creativity and problem-solving ability. In order to achieve the above aim, Web-Based Instructions(WBI) and instructions using CD-ROM Titles for the unit of 'the solar system and the galaxy' were applicated and analyzed which belongs to the area of 'the earth' in the subject 'science' for high school students. Instructions using WBI materials and CD-ROM titles were found to be effective on 'self-conception', 'creativity', 'future inclination', 'self-assessment ability', 'openness' and' initiative' improvement all of which belong to self-directed learning characteristics. They did not, however, show meaningful effect on improving 'learning eagemess' and 'responsibility' improvement. On looking into self-directed learning characteristics according to prerequisite learning levels, both groups and these for instruction using CD-ROM learning materials were found to have no effect on interaction. With respect to problem-solving ability improvement which is characteristic of the instruction using ICTs, WBI proved more fruitful than instruction using CD-ROM titles on improving scholastic achievement level. WBI was effective on 'fluency', 'originality' and 'resistance to premature closure'. It on the other hand, was of no use on 'abstraction of titles' and 'elaborateness' These results came from the following characteristics: WBI came into effect on 'fluency' and 'originality' in the areas of variety and vitality, which are characteristic of WBI. In the area of resistance to premature closure WBI was effective on organizing learning contents owing to the animation of picture materials which are variously presented in the web site. As a result of WBI questionnaire about WBI, an excellent effect on the structure of display, quantity of information, indication and instruction, supplementary study and further study were discussed.
