  • 본 연구에서는 카메라의 촬영 시점에 의해서 발생되는 원근감이 광학 흐름 생성에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 살펴보고 광학 흐름 기반 이상행동 탐지 솔루션의 성능을 고도화하기 위해 기존 광학 흐름 영상으로부터 소실점 기반 가중치 행렬을 계산하여 원근감에 따른 광학 흐름 정도를 평활하는 기법에 대해서 연구한다. 카메라의 뷰포인트에 따라 원근감의 발생 정도나 객체의 크기 및 움직임의 정도가 달라지게 되며, 이는 원본 영상 프레임을 광학 흐름의 크기와 방향성으로 표현하는 영상 변환 네트워크를 가진 생성적 적대 신경망을 학습할 때 정상적인 행동 패턴의 범위를 결정짓는 데 방해가 될 수 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 데이터셋의 배경으로부터 소실점을 추출하고 원근감에 따라 결정되는 광학 흐름의 크기를 평활하는 기법을 개발하여 기존 모델의 성능과 비교하였으며, 프레임 단위의 정확도 성능이 5.75% 향상된 것으로 확인되었다.

A Near-Far Resistant Receiver for WCDMA Systems (WCDMA 시스템을 위한 원근 저항성 수신기)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 코드분할 다중화 시스템을 위해 저자가 제안하였던 유사 역상관기 (Pseudo-Decorrelator)를 변형하여 WCDMA 시스템에 적합한 원근 저항성 (near-far resistant) 수신기를 설계하고, 임펄스 채널 환경에서 성능을 분석하고 있다. 설계된 수신기에서는 판단변수 (decision statistics)에 포함되어 있는 다중사용자 간섭신호를 분석하여, 송신된 신호의 각 비트에 대응되는 상호상관 행렬을 얻게 된다. 이 상호상관 행렬을 역변환 시킨 후, 기존의 수신기에서 얻어진 판단변수에 적용한다. 이렇게 해서 수신기의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다. 제안된 수신기는 연속해서 3비트를 받은 후에 바로 검출과정 (detection process)을 수행할 수 있다는 잇점이 있다. 임펄스 채널에서의 여러 가지 시뮬레이션을 통해서 수신기의 성능이 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In a robot/vision system, the vision sensor, typically a CCD array sensor, is mounted on the robot hand. The problem of determining the relationship between the camera frame and the robot hand frame is refered to as the hand-eye calibration. In the literature, various methods have been suggested to calibrate camera and for sensor registration. Recently, one-step approach which combines camera calibration and sensor registration is suggested by Horaud & Dornaika. In this approach, camera extrinsic parameters are not need to be determined at all configurations of robot. In this paper, by modifying the camera model and including the lens distortion effect in the perspective transformation matrix, a new one-step approach is proposed in the hand-eye calibration.

Transformer Network for Container's BIC-code Recognition (컨테이너 BIC-code 인식을 위한 Transformer Network)

  • This paper presents a pre-processing method to facilitate the container's BIC-code recognition. We propose a network that can find ROI(Region Of Interests) containing a BIC-code region and estimate a homography matrix for warping. Taking the structure of STN(Spatial Transformer Networks), the proposed network consists of next 3 steps, ROI detection, homography matrix estimation, and warping using the homography estimated in the previous step. It contributes to improving the accuracy of BIC-code recognition by estimating ROI and matrix using the proposed network and correcting perspective distortion of ROI using the estimated matrix. For performance evaluation, five evaluators evaluated the output image as a perfect score of 5 and received an average of 4.25 points, and when visually checked, 224 out of 312 photos are accurately and perfectly corrected, containing ROI.

  • 본 논문은 보행중인 시각장애인에 장착된 카메라로부터 획득한 영상에서 보도와 차도 영역을 구분하기 위한 영역분할 기법과 질감 특징추출 기법에 대해 제안한다. 영상내의 허프 변환을 이용한 라인검출을 통해 도로 경계선을 검출하고, 분할된 영역을 원근에 따라 3 레벨로 구분하여 질감 특징성분을 추출함으로써 보도와 차도영역을 분리한다. 보도블럭이 가지는 복잡하고 다양한 특성의 패턴과 차도의 균일한 질감을 가진 영역의 특성을 비교하기 위하여 회전에 강건한 LBP, GLCM 질감 특징성분들을 이용함으로써 두 영역을 구분하였다. 제안된 방법은 낮과 밤 영상에 대해 실험한 결과 조도의 변화에 강건하게 영역을 분리할 수 있었고, 또한 보행자와 장애물이 많은 영상에서도 회전이나 폐색에 관계없이 영역 분리가 가능함을 검증하였다.

  • Sports scene is characterized by large amount of global motion due to pan and zoom of camera motion, and includes many small objects moving independently. Some short period of sports games is thrilling to televiewers, and important to producers. At the same time that kinds of scenes exhibit exceptionally dynamic motions and it is very difficult to analyze the motions with conventional algorithms. In this thesis, several algorithms are proposed for global motion analysis on these dynamic scenes. It is shown that proposed algorithms worked well for motion compensation and panorama synthesis. When cascading the inter frame motions, accumulated errors are unavoidable. In order to minimize these errors, interpolation method of motion vectors is introduced. Affined transform or perspective projection transform is regarded as a square matrix, which can be factorized into small amount of motion vectors. To solve factorization problem, we preposed the adaptation of Newton Raphson method into vector and matrix form, which is also computationally efficient. Combining multi frame motion estimation and the corresponding interpolation in hierarchical manner enhancement algorithm of motion parameters is proposed, which is suitable for motion compensation and panorama synthesis. The proposed algorithms are suitable for special effect rendering for broadcast system, video indexing, tracking in complex scenes, and other fields requiring global motion estimation.

3-D Pose Estimation of an Elliptic Object Using Two Coplanar Points (두 개의 공면점을 활용한 타원물체의 3차원 위치 및 자세 추정)

  • This paper presents a 3-D pose (position and orientation) estimation method for an elliptic object in 3-D space. It is difficult to resolve the problem of determining 3-D pose parameters with respect to an elliptic feature in 3-D space by interpretation of its projected feature onto an image plane. As an alternative, we propose a two points-based pose estimation algorithm to seek the 3-D information of an elliptic feature. The proposed algorithm determines a homogeneous transformation uniquely for a given correspondence set of an ellipse and two coplanar points that are defined on model and image plane, respectively. For each plane, two triangular features are extracted from an ellipse and two points based on the polarity in 2-D projection space. A planar homography is first estimated by the triangular feature correspondences, then decomposed into 3-D pose parameters. The proposed method is evaluated through a series of experiments for analyzing the errors of 3-D pose estimation and the sensitivity with respect to point locations.

  • In this paper, we propose an region segmentation and texture based feature extraction method which split the pavement and roadway from the camera which equipped to the visually impaired person during a walk. We perform the hough transformation method for detect the boundary between pavement and roadway, and devide the segmented region into 3-level according to perspective. Next step, split into pavement and roadway according to the extracted texture feature of segmented regions. Our walking assistance system use rotation-invariant LBP and GLCM texture features for compare the characteristic of pavement block with various pattern and uniformity roadway. Our proposed method show that can segment two regions with illumination invariant in day and night image, and split there regions rotation and occlution invariant in complexed outdoor image.
