Watermarking Text Document Images Using Edge Direction Histograms (에지 방향 히스토그램을 이용한 텍스트 문서 영상의 워터마킹)

  • 이 논문은 명암(grayScale)을 갖는 텍스트 문서 영상을 위한 새로운 워터마킹 알고리즘을 제안한다. 텍스트 문서 영상을 여러 블록으로 나누었을 때, 블록 영상들의 에지 방향 히스토그램이 유사하다는 부분 영상의 일관성이라는 특성을 갖는다. 이러한 특성을 이용하여 블록의 에지 방향 히스토그램을 조작하여 신호를 삽입한다. 다양한 공격에 대한 실험을 통하여 알고리즘의 강인성과 비인지성을 분석하였다.

Adaptive Video Watermarking based on 3D-DCT Using Image Characteristics (영상 특성을 이용한 3D-DCT 기반의 적응적인 비디오 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive video watermarking method using human visual system(HVS) and characteristics of three-dimensional cosine transform (3D-DCT) cubes. We classify 3D-DCT cubes into three patterns according to the distribution of coefficients in the 3D-DCT cube: cube with motion and textures, cube with high textures and little motion, and cube with little textures and line motion. Images are also classified into three types according to the ratio of these patterns: images with motion and textures, images with high textures and little motion, and images with little textures and little motion. The proposed watermarking method adaptivelyinserts the watermark on the coefficients of the mid-range in the 3D-DCT cube using the appropriately learned sensitivity table and the proportional constants depending on the patterns of 3D-DCT cubes and types of images. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves better performance in terms of invisibility and robustness than the previous method.

Block-based Image Authentication Algorithm using Differential Histogram-based Reversible Watermarking (차이값 히스토그램 기반 가역 워터마킹을 이용한 블록 단위 영상 인증 알고리즘)

  • In most applications requiring high-confidential images, reversible watermarking is an effective way to ensure the integrity of images. Many watermarking researches which have been adapted to authenticate contents cannot recover the original image after authentication. However, reversible watermarking inserts the watermark signal into digital contents in such a way that the original contents can be restored without any quality loss while preserving visual quality. To detect malicious tampering, this paper presents a new block-based image authentication algorithm using differential histogram-based reversible watermarking. To generate an authentication code, the DCT-based authentication feature from each image block is extracted and combined with user-specific code. Then, the authentication code is embedded into image itself with reversible watermarking. The image can be authenticated by comparing the extracted code and the newly generated code and restored into the original image. Through experiments using multiple images, we prove that the presented algorithm has achieved over 97% authentication rate with high visual quality and complete reversibility.

An invisible watermarking scheme using the SVD (특이치 분해를 이용한 비가시적 워터마크 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a new invisible digital watermarking scheme based on wavelet transform using singular value decomposition. Embedding process is started by decomposing the lowest frequency band image with 3${\times}$3 block among which we define the watermark block chosen by a key set; entropy and condition number of the block. A watermark is embedded in the singular values of each watermark blocks. This provides a robust watermarking in lowest possible time-frequency domain. To detect the watermark, we are locally modeling an attack as 3${\times}$3 matrices on the watermark blocks. Combining with the SVD and the attack matrices, we estimate watermark set corresponding to the watermark blocks. In each watermark block, we determine an optimal watermark which is justified by the T-testing. A numerical experiment shows that the proposed watermarking scheme efficiently detects the watermarks from several JPEG attacks.

  • Digital watermarking is a technique used to hide information within digital media. Digital watermarking techniques can be classified as either robust watermarking or fragile watermarking. Robust watermarking techniques are generally used for the purpose of copyright protection. In addition, fragile watermarking techniques are used for the authentication and integrity verification of a digital image. Therefore, fragile watermarks should be easily breakable for trivial tampering of a watermarked image. This paper proposes an efficient fragile watermarking method for image tamper detection in the spatial domain. In the proposed method, a hash code and symmetric key encryption algorithm are used. The proposed method of inserting a watermark by dividing the original image into many blocks of small sizes is not weak against attacks, such as cut and paste. The proposed method can detect the manipulated parts of a watermarked image without testing the entire block of the image.

A Numerical Analysis on Cooling Performance of Microchannel Waterblock for Electronic Devices Cooling (전자기기 냉각용 마이크로채널 워터블록의 냉각성능에 관한 수치해석)

  • The microchannel waterblock has a good capability in the cooling of electronic devices. The object of this paper is to estiblish the scheme of design for the microchannel waterblock. The effects of flow rate and channel size on the cooling performances are investigated. It was found that the optimum flow rates were ragned from 0.7 lpm to 1.4 lpm. The thermal resistance at 2.0 lpm and 100 W was 0.13 $^{\circ}C$/W. Decrease in the width of channels is more effective for the improvement in the cooling performances of microchannel waterblock than increase in the height of channels. The increase of pressure drop resulted from decrease in the width of channels can be decreased by increasing the hight of channels.

  • The demand of high speed and miniaturization of electronic devices results in increased power dissipation requirement for thermal management. In this work, the effects of microchannel width, height and liquid flowrate on the cooling performances of microchannel waterblock are investigated experimentally. The microchannel waterblock considered ranged in width from 0.5 to 0.9 mm, with the channel height being nominally 1.7 to 9 times the width in each case. The experiments were conducted using water, over a liquid flow rate ranging from 0.2 to 2.0 lpm. The base temperature, thermal resistance and pressure drop increase with increasing of liquid flow rate. The measured thermal resistances ranged from 0.10 to 0.23 $^{\circ}C$/W for the channel 5.

  • The present study has been studied on a thermal and flow characteristic of the microchannel waterblock with pass variations in 8 samples. Results of a numerical analysis using the CFX-11 were compared with results of an experiment. Numerical analysis and experiment were conducted under an input power of 150 W, inlet temperature of $35^{\circ}C$ and mass flow rates of $0.7{\sim}2.0\;kg/min$. The numerical results showed reasonably good agreement with the experimental results within about $3{\sim}5%$. Also, the numerical results showed that the sample 2 types with the 2 pass gave better performance than the sample 1 types with the 1 pass from the viewpoints of heat transfer and pressure drop.

Results of a numerical analysis using the CFX-11 are compared with results of an experiment. Numerical analysis and experiment are conducted under a heat transfer rate of 150W, inlet temperature of $20^{\circ}C$ and mass flow rates of $0.7{\sim}2.0\;kg$/min. Base temperature and pressure drop are investigated with standard deviations of mass flow rates in each channels of samples at 0.7 kg/min.

  • 본 논문에서는 H.264에서 재압축이 인트라 픽처에 적용한 워터마킹 시스템에 공격이 되는 원인을 실험을 통하여 분석하고, I픽처 내에서 블록의 모드를 선정하는 기준이 되는 Lagrangian cost를 이용하여, 워터마크 삽입 블록을 선정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였고, 고정된 위치에 워터마크를 삽입한 경우와 비교하여 성능을 평가하였다.
