  • The IHO developed the S-100 standard for Digital Hydrographic Data in order to assist the proper and efficient use of hydrographic data and information for the safety of navigation and the protection of marine environment. The former model, S-57, was considered outdated to be utilized as the basis for the next-generation Electronic Chart(ENC) product specification. The key feature of the S-100 standard is the use of Registry and its components, Registers. This online-based Registry provides a universal standard that can be implemented in the actual performance of the navigation system with convenience. In the current situation, the only registry is owned by the IHO and it is available to domain experts. However, since S-100 is an international standard operated by an international organization, the process of the changes and updates of the data requires time before immediate implementation when demanded. Therefore, regarding the safety of navigation of the domestic users and mariners, a separate domestic registry is necessary to develop a domestic Information Registry. This study specifically aims to build a Registry based on IHO published S-99 through designing an adequate website dedicated for its purpose to provide collection of definitions and hydrographic data.

Pattern-Oriented Software Development Process using Incremental Composition for Design Patterns (디자인 패턴의 점진적 통합을 이용한 패턴지향 소프트웨어 개발 방법)

  • Design patterns are known widely by the techniques to improve software qualify. The design patterns are efficient solutions for problems occurring frequently in software development. Recently there are wide researches for design patterns to find them and to verify usability for them. But there are very few researches to define systematic development approaches about constructing application using design patterns. In this paper, we propose an approach for the pattern-oriented software development process using incremental composition for design patterns. For this proposal, first we define a development process using design patterns, propose technique for incremental composition for design patterns and view ports for software in the process. Also we deal with the problem of efficient traceability and maintenance to design patterns in the software system. And we use a feedback framework system as an illustrative example to show how the process can be used to develop the pattern-oriented software. In the development of software, the systematic development approach and usage increase efficiency to develop the system by using design experience and technique early in the development lifecycle. Therefore the system will assure the high stability and reusability and offer the low cost and time for development.

  • The growing demand for customer-responsive, made-to-order manufacturing is stimulating the need for improved dynamic decision-making processes in commercial fleet operations. Moreover, the rapid growth of electronic commerce through the internet is also requiring advanced and precise real-time operation of vehicle fleets. Accompanying these demand side developments/pressures, the growing availability of technologies such as AVL(Automatic Vehicle Location) systems and continuous two-way communication devices is driving developments on the supply side. These technologies enable the dispatcher to identify the current location of trucks and to communicate with drivers in real time affording the carrier fleet dispatcher the opportunity to dynamically respond to changes in demand, driver and vehicle availability, as well as traffic network conditions. This research investigates key aspects of real time dynamic routing and scheduling problems in fleet operation particularly in a truckload pickup-and-delivery problem under various settings, in which information of stochastic demands is revealed on a continuous basis, i.e., as the scheduled routes are executed. The most promising solution strategies for dealing with this real-time problem are analyzed and integrated. Furthermore, this research develops. analyzes, and implements hybrid algorithms for solving them, which combine fast local heuristic approach with an optimization-based approach. In addition, various partitioning algorithms being able to deal with large fleet of vehicles are developed based on 'divided & conquer' technique. Simulation experiments are developed and conducted to evaluate the performance of these algorithms.

인터넷, 인트라넷과 연계되는 데이타웨어하우스 시스템의 구축방안

  • 정보는 의사결정자들의 수주에 있을 때 기업에 있어 강력한 경쟁무기가 된다. 의사결정자들의 정보에 대한 이러한 필요성을 충족시키기 위해서 데이타는 운영시스템(Operational System)에서 추출되어 데이타웨어하우스에 저장된다. 데이타웨어하우스는 핵심 비지니스영역(key business dimension)에 의해 정리된 historical data를 저장한다. 이러한 의사결정자들을 위한 데이타웨어하우스 정보의 전달은 기존의 클라이언트/서버 시스템 하에서는 많은 지원을 요구한다. 즉 기존 클라이언트/서버 시스템 하에서는 사용자들의 접근을 위해 데이타가 추출되고 조직화되어지고 나면, 반드시 분석 소프트웨어가 각 사용자의 컴퓨터에 설치되어야 하고 외부의 사용자를 위한 새로운 운영자가 고용되어야 한다. 사용자의 다양한 요구 그리고 계속적 사용자의 교체는 사용자 지원에 있어 심각한 기업부담으로 작용한다. 또한 클라이언트/서버 시스템에서는 기업외부의 정보 이용자들에게 정보를 제공하는데 있어 장소적 한계점을 가지고 잇다. 인트라넷과 인터넷은 이러한 클라이언트/서버 시스템 환경의 문제에 대해 해답을 제시한다. 인트라넷은 데이타웨어하우스로의 접근을 간단히 할뿐만 아니라 의사결정자들의 정보의 공유와 상호분석의 새로운 단계를 제공한다. 그리고 인터넷은 기업 외부 어디에서나 기업이 제공하는 정보를 이용하고자 하는 사람들에게 접근의 편의성을 제공한다. 즉 데이타웨어하우스의 목표와 인트라넷, 인터넷의 목표는 데이타로의 손쉬운 접근이라는 점에서 동일하다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 인트라넷과 인터넷하에서 운용되는 데이타웨어하우스 시스템 구축을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.다(학생군:8.16kg 작업자군:12.9kg). 심박수를 이용한 생리학적 연구에서는 평균 심박수가 거의 100 이하를 유지하므로써 피실험자들이 8시간 작업기준으로 보아 무리가 없는 최대허용 하중을 결정하였음을 보였다. 또한 각 운반작업에 대한 최대허용 하중을 예측하는 회귀모형을 제시하였다.아직 정립되어 있지 않은 분산 환경하에서의 관계형 데이타베이스의 데이타관리의 분류체계를 나름대로 정립하였다는데 그 의의가 있다. 또한 이것의 응용은 현재 분산데이타베이스 구축에 있어 나타나는 기술적인 문제점들을 어느정도 보완할 수 있다는 점에서 그 중요성이 있다.ence of a small(IxEpc),hot(Tex> SOK) core which contains two tempegatlue peaks at -15" east and north of MDS.   • To reduce costs and address other practical concern related to architectural lighting, we have been involved in various aspects of advanced daylighting design and control. If we look toward future building trends, we see that the advanced has already successfully deployed such complex lighting control systems. This paper takes a broad view of what advanced manufacturers have done to develop energy efficient lighting control technologies such as sensors, lumen maintenance, time of day scheduling, peak demand reduction and so forth. First of all strategies, daylighting controls would also need to be commissioned to respond to the specific daylighting signature of the zone. To translate the daylight in term of the amount of energy savings, an electric lighting system is designed and automatic on-off control system integrated with the contribution of daylighting has been applied to the operating of the artificial lighting. The lighting analysis program, Lumen-Micro predicts the optimal layout of conventional fluorescent and incandescent lighting fixtures to meet the designed lighting level and calculates unit power density, which translates the demanded amount of lighting energy.

  • Network management involves configuring and operating various network elements in a suitable manner. Generally, a network management system can perform basic functionalities such as configuration management, performance management, and fault management. Due to the open structure of the Internet, the volume of network traffic and the network equipment used have increased in size and complexity. Therefore, it is expensive and time consuming to develop a network management program for heterogeneous network equipment in an SNMP.based network. In order to facilitate the management of network environments and the control of heterogeneous devices in an efficient manner, we propose an Active Network Management System (ANMS) comprising an automatic generator that uses triggers to generate a network management program. The concept of triggers can be represented through event condition action rules performed in response to a change in the status of a network environment. The proposed ANMS comprises basic components for real time network management and also includes an automatic generator (AG). When the ANMS is monitoring network elements that are newly added or changed, a trigger rule is activated and these components are then able to collaborate and automatically generate a new network management program by using the information provided along with the SNMP libraries. Our method is useful for expanding the network structure and replacing network equipment. Through experiments, we have proved that our ANMS is useful when new network objects are added or changed in the network environment to expand the network structure. Further, we have verified that our ANMS system reduces the time and cost required to develop a network management program as compared to the manual method used in existing network management systems.

  • A developer solves problems with isolating failures if faults are detected when inspecting missiles using the missile assembly test set (MATS) and then resumes the testing. In order to identify faults, it is necessary to analyze the data coming from the equipment, but the information received may not be sufficient, depending on the inspection environment. In this case, the developer repeats the test until the problem is reproduced or checks the performance of each piece of equipment that is related to the fault. When this task is added, schedule management becomes problematic, and development costs rise. To solve this problem, we need to design a MATS in a systematic way to increase fault coverage while satisfying the required reliability. By designing the necessary processes for each procedure, it is possible to reduce the fault identification time when a fault is detected during operations. But it is not possible to guarantee 100% fault coverage, so we provide another method by comparing costs and effects. This paper describes a development method to enhance the reliability of the missile assembly test set; it describes the expected effects when it is adapted, and describes the limitations of this method.

A proposal of simple evaluation on the seismic performance of tunnel lining (터널 라이닝의 내진성능 간편 평가법 제안)

  • The country has built and is operating IT-based integrated management system for efficient management of national highway tunnels used publicly these days. Since this system doesn't include the management function on earthquakes, it is impossible to promptly respond to earthquakes and to select the sections requiring seismic reinforcement. Tunnels designed and constructed after 1999 have been subjected to seismic design for an earthquake with a return period 1000 years. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the stability of structures in case of earthquakes more than this. Since it takes a lot of time to perform the stability evaluation on various earthquake magnitudes, a method that can easily evaluate earthquakes is needed. In this paper, the empirical simplification method that can easily evaluate the earthquake was proposed. For this, the study calculated ground displacement by conducting one-dimensional ground response analysis, and examined the safety of tunnels in the event of occurrence of an earthquake using two means of response displacement method (analytics and numerical analysis).

A Study on the Interface between DAS and SCADA by using Direct Method (직접연계방법에 의한 DAS-SCADA 연계 연구)

  • DAS and SCADA system are main systems, which operate and manage the power system by using computer and communication technology. But DAS and SCADA have been operated independently in Korea, so there was some time delay in the fault handling and live-line work. To improve that problems, studies on the interface between DAS and SCADA have been needed. From November 2005 to December 2007, the pilot project has been performed in KEPCO's branch offices, as a result, direct method will be applied widely all over the country until 2010 because the operation information of substation users want can be transmitted fast and it is possible to control 43RC directly although the expense for direct method is about 1.3 times larger than that for web method. To improve problems revealed during the pilot project, substation object to object communication method is proposed and interface database automatic generation and interface system diagnosis and logging functions are developed. Interface data point and communication data type are defined, substation single line diagram automatic generation or manual editing function, SCADA monitoring and controlling function, log data managing function are developed in SCADA HMI program. It is expecting to reduce the average time for each outage about 33% and to improve the reliability, efficiency of operation, execution of DAS from automatic load transfer under a fault, and to contribute to export project.

A Study to Improve the Vessel Navigation Suspension Order System (항행정지명령 제도의 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • With the introduction of the maritime safety supervisor system in Korea following the passenger vessel Sewol accident, the safety control system for coastal vessels has been reinforced. A maritime safety supervisor performs marine accident prevention activities by offering periodical or occasional guidance and supervision. When a deficiency is found during guidance or supervision sessions, an order for improvement is issued to rectify the problem by such measures as supplementation or replacement of vessel facilities, improvement of work hours and working conditions for employees, educational and training programs for executives and employees, or the improvement of other affairs relating to maritime safety control. However the present order for navigation suspension by a maritime safety supervisor is limited solely to supplementation or replacement. For this reason, orders for navigation suspension against other facilities is impossible, even if a serious deficiency that could lead to a marine accident such as poor cargo loading conditions or unqualified crew is identified. Therefore, the order for vessel navigation suspension to secure seaworthiness should be expanded to include cargo loading/unloading operations, certificates and documentation, maritime safety management systems, and human elements including emergency drills and working conditions, in addition to the supplementation or replacement of vessel facilities that exists.
