근래에 범용 운영체제의 보안성을 강화하기 위해 접근 통제, 침입 탐지 그리고 감사 등과 같은 새로운 보안 기능이 계속해서 추가되고 있다. 추가된 보안 기능에 의해서 어느 정도 시스템 성능에 변화가 생기는지는 보안 운영체제를 도입하려는 사용자들에게 중요한 선택 기준이 되고 있다. 그러나 현재 보안 운영체제들에 대한 성능 분석 자료는 범용 운영체제와 동일한 방법으로 평가된 것들이 대부분이며 여러 보안 운영체제들의 성능을 객관적으로 비교해 놓은 자료 또한 없는 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 잘 알려진 보안 운영체제들을 대상으로 범용 성능 평가 도구를 이용하여 성능 분석 지표를 추출하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 보안 운영체제의 성능 평가를 위해 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

전력거래소에서 전력계통 및 전력시장 운영을 위해 도입한 핵심시스템은 EMS, MOS, CBP 이다. 이 세개 시스템은 각각 고유의 기능을 가진 별도의 시스템으로 구축되었다. 우리나라의 전력시장이 발전경쟁단계에 머무르면서 당초 양방향전력시장용으로 도입된 MOS시스템이 활용되지 못함에 따라 MOS시스템의 실시간 급전기능을 활용해 전력계통 운영의 안정성 및 경제성 향상을 꾀하고자 이 세 개의 시스템을 2006년 10월부터 연계 운영하고 있다. 이를 위해 CBP입찰값을 MOS의 입찰형식으로 변환하기위한 CBP-MOS 입찰변환시스템, 실시간 수요예측을 위한 수요예측 프로그램, MOS와 EMS를 일괄적으로 연계하기 위한 연계Mode, 각 발전기 운전원들에게 발전기의 급전계획값 및 실시간 운전현황을 전송하기 위한 급전지시시스템(MX) 및 전반적인 시스템 연계운영을 종합적으로 감시하기 위한 종합감시시스템 등을 개발하여 운영하고 있다.

This paper designs Cryptography File System to support encrypting function. The CFS is supported in Solaris Kernel to encrypt or decrypt a plaintext or an encrypted text by using the dynamic linking mechanism. The Cryptography File System supports safe use of computer system even if an intruder gets a file by connecting with network. If he/she does not have a Cryptography File System module in the Solaris Kernel, he/she cannot read that file. The Cryptography File System was experimented into the Solaris kernel.

현재 무선 네트웍이 발달됨에 따라 Access Point (AP)의 역할이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 현재 사용되고 있는 대부분의 AP는 단순한 HUB의 역할만 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 AP에 라우터 기능 및 Mobile IP, Agent 기능을 추가하여 통합 AP를 제시하고 있다. 통합 AP는 AP 내에 필요한 기능이 내장된 것으로서 리눅스 운영체제를 기반으로 하였다. 요구되는 기능을 리눅스 커널에 내장함으로서 AF에 쉽게 포함시킬 수 있다. 또한 무료로 제공되는 리눅스 운영체제를 사용함으로서 기존의 AP에 비해서 저렴하게 통한 AP론 구성할 수 있다.

For the development and management of u-City(ubiquitous city), Ubiquitous City Construction Law was enacted(March 3, 2008) to form the legal basis of u-City plan, construction and managements afterwards. Among u-City elements, the u-City Management Center has its own meaning and importance in roles which are crucial to the u-City developments, and its legal establishment is one of the core u-City realization factors. The purpose of this study is to analyse its overall problem issues regarding the function and location of u-City Management Center and then to suggest the basic direction and enforcement strategies to form its legal basis. As a result, in order to enhance the possibility of successful realization of u-City Management Center, the classification and standardization of function type, allocation of detailed functions based on u-City project hierarchy, and practical definition and relationships among basic u-City components such as u-City Service and Infrastructure were suggested. Also, practical execution devices on revenue sources and private sector participation, as well as the legal basis stipulating the mandatory inclusion of u-City Management Center development for u-City projects, were suggested.

Energy management system (EMS)는 전력시스템에서 운영자에 의해 발전과 송전의 성능을 감시, 제어, 그리고 성능 최적화를 위하여 운영하는 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 차세대 EMS(Next Generation Energy Management System : NG-EMS)에서 클라이언트 운영 시스템의 자동 동기 방법을 제안한다. 인트라넷 네트워크 망에서 클라이언트 운영 시스템의 효율적인 유지 보수를 위해 운영 소프트웨어 패치 및 엔지니어링을 통해 만들어진 그래픽 화면을 여러 클라이언트에 자동 동기 및 갱신 기능을 특징으로 한다. 또한 자동 동기 빌더를 이용하여 클라이언트에 동기 할 항목을 패키징하는 기능을 포함한다. 본 연구의 구성에 의해 자동 동기 서버 측에서 클라이언트의 동기 및 갱신주기를 효율적으로 관리하다. 클라이언트가 메인으로 접속하여 자동동기 상태를 체크하는 서버에 문제가 발생했을 경우 다중 동기 서버 형태로 운영하여 만일에 발생할 문제에 효율적으로 대처가 가능하다.

This paper suggests Enode Operating Systems that is core part of active network. It iscomposed of five parts: domain, channel, thread, memory and file module. The domain and channel module among five parts are the main function. The remaining parts that are the thread, memory, and file are the supporting module for the domain and channel. The domain module manages active network It creates and deletes domain data structure. The channel module has an inchan, outchan, and cutchan. We also test the Enode Operating Systems to verify suggesting concept of node Operating System.

본 논문에서는 자바 카드 운영체제 개발 시 실시간으로 소스 코드를 디버깅할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고, 제안한 방법을 이용하여 자바 카드 운영체제 개발 시 실시간으로 소스코드 디버깅을 수행하는 과정을 실험결과를 통해 제시하고자 한다. 논문에서 제안하는 디버깅 기능은 디버깅을 위한 클래스 및 디버깅 메소드, native 인터페이스를 통해 연결될 디버깅 함수를 자바 카드 운영체제에 구현하여 개발자가 운영체제 개발을 수행하면서 실시간으로 운영체제상의 소스코드를 원하는 형태로 디버깅할 수 있는 편리한 개발 환경을 제공해 준다. 또한, 개발자 관점의 실시간 소스코드 디버깅 기능을 지원함으로써 자바 카드 운영체제 및 응용 프로그램의 개발을 가속화시키는 부가적인 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

내장형 시스템(Embedded System)은 운영체제와 함께 사용자가 원하는 목적과 기능의 응용프로그램을 내장하여 원하는 작업을 할 수 있도록 해주며, 각종 전자기기들이 디지털화 되면서 각종 기능들을 제어하기위한 운영체제로서 내장형 운영체제가 주목을 반기 시작하였다. 데스크탑 시스템과 내장형 시스템의 하드웨어 특성과 요구사항은 서로 다르기 때문에 데스크탑 기반의 Unix 운영체제로 널리 쓰이고 있는 GNU/Linux를 내장형 시스템의 운영체제로 사용하기 위해서는 여러 가지 운영체제 구성 요소들에 대한 최적화가 뒤따라야 한다. GNU/Linux의 최적화를 위해 고려해 볼 수 있는 다섯 가지 방법을 설명하고, 실례로서 LRP와 ZDISK에서 만든 결과를 분석해 보기로 한다.
