Stakeholder Oriented Economical Efficiency Analysis on the Scenario to Implement Smart Transportation Services (지능형 운송 서비스 구축 시나리오에 대한 이해관계자 중심 경제성 분석)

  • This research proposed a new method to evaluate the objective validity to launch smart transportation services that various stakeholders are complicatedly inter-connected. First of all, we have designed the fundamental business model to form the smart transportation services and defined the stakeholders taking part in the services. Also, the criteria to evaluate the economical validity has been proposed based on the relationship among stakeholders. Especially, in the case EV drivers and charging service providers, the economical validity depends on the scale of spreading. Therefore, we have compared the two extreme scenarios, the poor and stable level of EV spreading. According to the result, it may be said that EV drivers and charging service providers cannot be guaranteed the economical validity due to the burden of initial investment. On the contrary to this, suppliers of EV and charging gears may secure more than a certain level of profit. In addition, the government may have great profit due to reducing the CO2 emission and cost for importing energy sources. Therefore, it is needed to enhance the level of supporting EV drivers and charging service providers at the first stage. Also, the impact of the ratio of EV and charging service stations on the economical validity of smart transportation should be further investigated.

Application of Environmental Management System Model for the Local Food Industry and the Analysis (로컬푸드산업의 환경경영시스템 모델 적용 분석)

  • Local food industry has been spreading all over the world. Korea is also actively applying and developing local food industry. However, relatively high distribution cost in Korean agricultural market is hindering its further growth. Distribution cost has close relation with shipping distance. Raised distribution cost brings major impacts not only on quality and price of products but also on greenhouse gas(carbon dioxide) emissions. Therefore, it is necessary to find a solution for inefficient distribution system of the local food industry to reduce overall cost and greenhouse gas. In this study, we present a location selection model for local food regional center using Analytic Hierarchy Process. The location of local food regional hub center is decided based on expert opinions on five factors: accessibility, quality, population, size of area, and shipping distance. The relative importance of the five factors has been concluded as follows: quality (0.430) ${\gg}$ population (0.262) ${\gg}$ travel distance (0.201) ${\gg}$ accessibility (0.075) ${\gg}$ and area (0.033). We apply and analyze the environmental management system model for Local food industry to develop the regional hub center site selection criteria and to analyze the effects of greenhouse gas emissions in the local food industry. This study, by applying and analyzing the environmental management system of the local food industry, is believed to be a valuable asset for managing greenhouse gas emission in the local food industry. Also, the data will be used for the autonomous local food industry's direct sales stall management. Eventually, this study will contribute so greatly to the local food industry's competitiveness that even large distribution companies will give way for the local food industry.

  • As container traffic is increasing, the introduction of mega-vessel has had a significant impact on the ports and terminals business. This movement of container shipping has led to intensely competitive environment among ports, so substantial pressures to develop new container ports or to expand existing ones, have been grown. However, it requires a huge investment, especially cost and time, to overcome environmental, geographical and financial restrictions generated from developing a port. This study addressed the Mobile Harbor, the new concept of marine logistics system as an alternative strategy. We performed an economic analysis on the introduction of the Mobile Harbor in coastal transport sector and also a sensitivity analysis to examine the effects of changing factors related on the economic evaluation. We have examined the value and application of Mobile Harbor as a preliminary study, which may contribute to further studies on the Mobile Harbor.

  • The international oil majors have been reducing the size of their own oil tanker fleet since from the beginning of 1980s. Like international oil majors, the Korean refineries are getting more dependent on tanker chartering than tanker ownership for their oil transportation since 1990s. They also prefer spot charter to time charter and this kind of trend continue up to today. Consequently, this paper attempted to find out factors influencing changes in tanker fleet composition. To attain the object, a empirical study is adopted using the ten decision making factors derived from the preceeding study. The findings are that MARPOL and OPA 90, and transportation cost are the most important factors influencing on oil tanker fleet composition.

  • 위험물 차량사고는 일반차량의 교통사고시 발생하는 인명피해, 재산피해, 교통지체 외에 부가적으로 환경적 영향에 의한 엄청난 인명 및 재산손실을 유발시킬 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 위험물차량사고를 예방하고 피해를 최소로 줄이기 위해서는 위험물수송경로의 신중하고 체계적인 결정이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 외국의 경우, 위험물의 방출이 미치는 환경적 영향에 대한 인식이 확대되면서 위험물 수송시 응급처리에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송에 따른 위험도 평가에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송시 고려해야할 여러 조건에 관한 연구, 위험물 수송경로 설정에 관한 연구 등이 진행되고 있다. 반면에 우리 나라는 위험물차량관리와 사고처리에 대해 실시간적인 관리를 목표로 하는 국가차원의 계획을 수립하고는 있지만, 현재 이와 관련된 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 앞으로 산업발달에 따른 위험물수송량의 증가와 환경의식의 변화에 따라 위험물수송 및 사고처리 등에 관한 연구가 필요할 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 위험물차량의 운송경로를 결정할 때 고려해야 할 여러 가지의 기준 및 목표에 따라 위험물수송경로를 설정하는 모형을 제시함으로써 위험물수송에 수반되는 위험을 최소화하면서 위험물차량의 통행시간, 거리, 비용 등을 최적화하여 위험물수송의 안전 및 운영효율성을 향상시키고자 한다. 먼저, 위험물 수송경로의 기준지표로 사용될 위험도를 산정하기 위해 링크 주변노출인구, 밀도 등을 변수로 하는 모형식을 제안하고, 두 번째로 산정된 위험도를 기반으로 최적경로를 결정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 마지막으로 가상 네트웍에 본 연구에서 제안된 모형을 적용하고 현재 일반적으로 사용되는 최단경로와 비교·분석하였다.것은 운송거리와 운송비용이 각각 주요한 변수라는 것이다. 모형의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서는 logilikelihood 값을 구하여 $\rho$^2분석을 시행하였다. 여기서는 각 품목별로 $\rho$^2값이 약 0.15~0.3의 비교적 높은 수치를 보여주고 있으므로 모형의 설명력이 어느 정도 있다는 것이 아울러 증명이 되었다. 상관관계에 대한 분석에서는 영업용 차량간의 상관관계가 높게 나타났으며, 이는 곧 영업용 화물차량을 적재중량별로 구분하는 것이 별 의미가 없음을 의미한다. 다시 말하면 자가용 차량을 보유하고 있지 않은 회사는 다른 운송전문업체에 화물운송을 의뢰하게 되므로 출하중량에 따라 화물차량을 구분하는 것에 대해서 그다지 큰 고려를 하지 않는 것으로 해석할 수가 있다.적합함을 재확인함. 6. 혼잡초기를 제외한 혼잡기간 중 대기행렬길이는 밀도데이터 없이도 혼잡 상류부의 도착교통량과 병목지점 본선통과교통량만을 이용하여 추정이 가능함. 7. 이상에 연구한 결과를 토대로, 고속도로 대기행렬길이를 산정할 수 있는 기초적인 도형을 제시함.벌레를 대상으로 처리한 Phenthoate EC가 96.38%의 방제가로 약효가 가장 우수하였고 3월중순 및 4월중순 월동후 암컷을 대상으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압

  • 물류센터의 위치선정문제 및 차량운송계획문제 등 물류시스템계획문제에서 거리산정문제를 매우 중요한 문제이며 물류비용의 주요 요인이 되고있다. 지금까지의 거리산정문제는 기하학적거리 및 지역도로와 교통조건을 고려한 일반거리, lp-Distance, 등의 방법들을 활용하고 있다. 최근에는 GIS(Geographical Information System)기반에서의 2차원 평면상의 GIS거리(2-D 거리)를 사용하는 방법을 많이 활용하고 있다. 이러한 방법은 지형적인 여건과 고도차이에 따른 실제거리와는 많은 차이가 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 2D기반의 디지털 맵을 3-D 기반의 디지털 맵으로의 변환을 통해 2D GIS 거리산정 방법을 확장하여 3-D기반의 GIS거리 산정 방법을 개발하였다. 이러한 3가지의 거리산정방법; lp-Distance, 2-D 기반의 GIS거리산정 방법 및 3-D기반의 GIS거리산정 방법을 부산지역의 차량운송계획문제(VRP)에 응용하고 그 결과를 비교 분석하였다.

Economies of Scale and Scope In Seoul's Urban Bus Industry (서울 시내버스운송업의 규모 및 범위의 경제성 분석)

  • Using a multiproduct translog cost function model, this paper examines the existence or absence of scale and scope economies in Seoul's urban bus industry. The Paper then conceptualizes that the bus firm produces three outputs (city, seat and local bus-kilometers) using low input factors(labor, capital, fuel and maintenance). Using 1996 annual observations for 81 Seoul's bus firms, the equation system consisting of a cost function and three input share equations is estimated with the nonlinear iterative Zellner method. The findings show that the cost function corresponding to a non-homothetic production technology with separability between local bus outputs and inputs adequately represents the structure of cost for Seoul's bus firms, and that the demand lot all input factors is quite inelastic with respect to their own price. On the other hand, nearly all firms experience mild overall economies or scale, but rather marked product-specific economies of scale with respect to all the three outputs. In addition, there appear to be substantial economies or scope associated with the joint production of city and seat bus services, while considerable diseconomies of scope associated with that of city and local bus services. These results indicate that the merger of smaller firms into larger firms with a fleet of approximately 200 buses would result in more cost-efficient bus services.

Estimation of Demand for and Proper Capacity of Ro-Ro Berths in Korea-Japan Trade (한일간 Ro-Ro 부두 수요 및 적정 규모 추정)

  • International logistics systems for cross-border trading aim not only to reduce costs and time, but also to maximize added value. For accuracy of shipping time, cost reduction, rapidity, and safety improvement, demand for Ro-Ro shipping as a global supply chain operating system has increased. To anticipate these demands, this study estimates the optimal demand and scale of Ro-Ro berth construction by analyzing shipping volumes between Korea and Japan. Based on Ro-Ro shipping speeds and distances between Korea and Japan, the shipping volume (container and general cargo) of Busan port is sorted into two separate zones. After analyzing the ratio of items that have great potential benefits from using Ro-Ro shipping, we estimate possible shipping volumes using Ro-Ro berth provision. The results reveal that two berths for 20,000t vessels are additionally required to accommodate the estimated volume. Results suggest the construction of an exclusive Ro-Ro berth in Busan port. This would not only accommodate the demand between Korea and Japan, but also provide a way to avoid the lean-to-one-side port policy.

  • Philippines as one of the developing countries in Asia which is compose of more than 7000 islands. Air, Water and Land transportation are the means of travel in the country, however, transportation of goods and services between islands takes place through RoRo ships. There are about 154 RoRo routes connecting the islands in the Philippines and since its establishment, the incomes of the municipalities near the ports have increased by 7%. It is because of the increase of tourist, decrease of cost of transportation and travel time. In order to improve some of the routes in the Philippines, the researcher would like to suggest that the shipping companies should consider to upgrade some vessels. That is to have a vessel with a high-capacity storage for vehicles and goods so that mass transportation made. Another is that the ports need to be upgraded as well.

  • Air transport markets are composed of airlines' networks through their base airports. The analysis of an air transport market has been focusing on determining the efficiency or competitiveness of airports or airlines in the market using number of routes, number of passengers, transfer rates, revenues, costs, and other data. However, little work has been done in analyzing the airport network itself. Assuming the air transport markets of Korea, China, and Japan are integrated, this paper aims to analyze the characteristics of the resulting airport network. To that end, the degree of connectivity, the degree of closeness, and the betweenness of centrality are employed. The analysis shows that Incheon International Airport is better than most other airports in terms of the degree of connectivity and that of closeness. Airports in Japan, however, exhibit strong connectivity but weak closeness and betweenness of centrality. Although it has low connectivity, Shenyang Airport has a possibility of becoming an attractive point of the integrated market in the future due to its high degree of closeness.
