The movement history of the southern part of the Yangsan Fault Zone interpreted from the geometric and kinematic characteristics of the Sinheung Fault, Eonyang, Gyeongsang Basin, Korea (언양 신흥단층의 기하학적.운동학적 특성으로부터 해석된 경상분지 양산단층대 남부의 단층운동사)

  • The main fault of Yangsan Fault Zone (YFZ) and Quaternary fault were found in a trench section with NW-SE direction at an entrance of the Sinheung village in the northern Eonyang, Ulsan, Korea. We interpreted the movement history of the southern part of the YFZ from the geometric and kinematic characteristics of basement rock's fault of the YFZ (Sinheung Fault) and Quaternary fault (Quaternary Sinheung Fault) investigated at the trench section. The trench outcrop consists mainly of Cretaceous sedimentary rocks of Hayang Group and volcanic rocks of Yucheon Group which lie in fault contact and Quaternary deposits which unconformably overlie these basement rocks. This study suggests that the movement history of the southern part of the YFZ can be explained at least by two different strike-slip movements, named as D1 and D2 events, and then two different dip-slip movements, named as D3 and D4 events. (1) D1 event: a sinistral strike-slip movement which caused the bedding of sedimentary rocks to be high-angled toward the main fault of the YFZ. (2) D2 event: a dextral strike-slip movement slipped along the high-angled beddings as fault surfaces. The main characteristic structural elements are predominant sub-horizontal slickenlines and sub-vertical fault foliations which show a NNE trend. The event formed the main fault rocks of the YFZ. (3) D3 event: a conjugate reverse-slip movement slipped along fault surfaces which trend (E)NE and moderately dip (S)SE or (N)NW. The slickenlines, which plunge in the dip direction of fault surfaces, overprint the previous sub-horizontal slickenlines. The fault is characterized by S-C fabrics superimposed on the D2 fault gouges, fault surfaces showing ramp and flat geometry, asymmetric and drag folds and collapse structures accompanied with it. The event dispersed the orientation of the main fault surface of the YFZ. (4) D4 event: a Quaternary reverse-slip movement showing a displacement of several centimeters with S-C fabrics on the Quternary deposits. The D4 fault surfaces are developed along the extensions of the D3 fault surfaces of basement rocks, like the other Quaternary faults within the YFZ. This indicates that these faults were formed under the same compression of (N)NW-(S)SE direction.

  • Pivalic acid, which has a globular shape and is a plastic crystal, has been examined by means of temperature-dependent with-line proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Results of temperature-dependent line width, second moment, and spin-lattice relaxation time studies of pivalic acid were interpreted in terms of dynamic behavior and hydrogen bonding. The dynamic behavior consists of superimposed reorientation of the methyl groups about their three-fold axes$(C_3) and of the molecule about the central C-C bond(C_3'),$ general molecular reorientation about the center of gravity, and molecular self-diffusion. Activation energies for the motional processes have been obtained from line width measurements using the modified Bloembergen, Purcell, and Pound theory and from spin-lattice relaxation time measurements. The results were compared with the Pople-Karasz theory of fusion and the agreement was found to be poor. The discrepancy was interpreted in terms of hydrogen bonding in this molecule.

  • 제트류는 복잡한 흐름 중 하나로 다양한 크기의 에디가 다양한 운동량을 가지고 있다. 이러한 제트류를 구현하기 위해서는 난류 운동 에너지 등 제트류의 특성을 잘 반영하여야 한다. 제트를 구현하기 위해서는 수리학적 모델, 현장 실험 등 많은 방법이 있으며, 본 연구에서는 상대적으로 공간, 시간적 비용이 적게 드는 수치해석 방법을 사용하여 연구를 진행하였다. 대표적인 수치해석방법에는 DNS(Direct Numerical Simulation), LES(Large Eddy Simulation), RANS(Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes) 등이 있다. RANS는 시간 평균 흐름 특성만 산출하며 제트의 복잡성을 재현하는 데 한계가 있어, 본 연구는 DNS와 LES 모델을 이용하여 제트류를 구현하는 것에 초점을 맞추었다. DNS는 해당 격자에서 발생하는 모든 에디를 직접 해석 때문에 난류 모델링이 필요하지 않지만, 많은 수의 그리드가 필요하여 수치해석 시 소요시간이 긴 편이다. LES는 대규모 에디는 직접 해석하지만 일정 크기 이하의 소용돌이를 해석하기 위해서 모델이 필요하다. 따라서 서브 그리드 모델에 따라 약간 다른 결과를 보인다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 LES의 기존 서브 그리드 모델을 사용하지 않고 신경망 모델로 학습한 DNS 결과를 활용하는 방법을 제안한다. 우선 DNS와 LES 모델을 사용하여 에너지 스펙트럼을 비교하여 서브 그리드 모델이 시작하는 파수를 찾는다. 이후 특정 파수 아래의 작은 에디를 모사할 적절한 신경망 모델을 결정하여 DNS의 작은 에디를 신경망 알고리즘이 모사할 수 있도록 학습시킨다. 이후 기존 서브 그리드 모델을 사용하지 않고 학습된 신경망 알고리즘을 사용한 LES 모델이 모사한 제트류와 실제 DNS 모델을 사용한 제트류를 비교 및 평가한다.

Dynamic Analysis of Geometric Nonlinear Behavior of Suspension Bridges under Random Wind Loads (랜덤풍하중에 대한 현수교의 기하학적 비선형 거동의 동적해석)

  • In this study, a method of nonlinear dynamic analysis of suspension bridges subjected to random wind loads is pre.sented. The nonlinearity considered is the one due to the interaction between the motion of the bridge girder and the tertsion variation of the main cables. The equation of motion is formulated using a continuum approach. The coupling between the vertical and torsional motions are included in the analysis. The equation of motion is solved by using the mode superposition method. The analysis is carried out in the frequency domain utilizing the stochastic linearization technique on to the modal equations. In the linearization procedure, the nonlinear terms are approximated as linear ones with constant terms. The verification of the method has been performed on a case with four modal degrees of freedom. Example analyses are carried out on two suspension bridges for various wind speeds and wind force parameters. Numerical results indicate that, by including the nonlinearity into the analysis, the dynamic responses of the bridges, particularly in the vertical direction, change considerably.

  • In this paper, the feasibility of a wheelchair carrier for the disabled own driver is checked kinematically to fit one of current domestic vans by drawings, design. A van with 9 passengers is selected for the modification to attach the wheelchair carrier and test the operation in real situation. The trajectory and motion process are studied to protect from the interception with outside body of van, and the conceptual design is proceeded kinematically. For the detail design, the stress analysis and driving mechanism with power supply must be studied and selected basically.

  • 구리(II)의 전자상자성공명 흉수선의 모양과 선 폭에 대한 해석을 통해 석영-물 계면에서의 구리(II) 및 흡착수와 석영 표면과의 상호 작용에 대해 연구하였다. 두 가지 흡수선이 중첩하여 흡수선을 구성하며 따라서 석영 표면에 적어도 두 종류의 구리(II)가 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 하나는 g=2.18에 중심을 둔 초미세 갈라짐이 분해되지 않는 등방성 단일 흡수선을 보여 주는 구리(II) 이온이다. 이는 수용액 중에서와 유사한 빠른 자유 회전 운동이 가능한 상태로 표면에 매우 약하게 결합된 구리 이온(Cu($H_2O$)$_{6}$$^{2+}$)인 것으로 해석된다. 다른 하나는 축 대칭 흡수선 $g_{∥}$=2.40, $g_{⊥}$=2.08)을 가지는 구리(II)로서 이는 표면에 강하게 결합된 것으로 해석된다. 본 결과는 흡착 현상에 대한 열역학적 접근법인 표면 착물화 모델들이 제시하는 광물 표면에서의 금속 이온 흡착 모델이 거시적 관점에서 흡착 현상을 잘 모사할지라도 분자 수준의 미시적 관점에서 흡착 메커니즘을 규명하기 위해서는 독립적인 분광학적 정보가 제시되어야함을 보여 준다.다.

  • This paper aims to reveal the merits and demerits of the exhibition by examining whether the subject intended at the exhibition planning stage was finally persuasively implemented throughout the work and exhibition, along with the theoretical verification of the way the exhibition dealing with the history of the women's independence movement from the psychoanalytic feminist point of view. To this end, a more fundamental approach to the theme of the Women's Independence Movement calls for the search for a feminine language that can capture women's unique identity rather than a masculine language such as the existing independence movement exhibition method, and for finding such feminine language, a feminine speech, art and poetic language, maternal genealogy, and women's solidarity are presented, along with theories. This paper, which expounds the role of art works in exhibitions dealing with history through theoretical verification of actual exhibition cases, has significance as communication between theory and field.

수치제어공작기계의 단운동측정방법과 정도진단방법

  • 수치제어(NC) 공작기계의 정도측정에 관하여, 지금 뜨거운 의논이 일본에서 일고 있다. ISO/TC39/SC2 (공작기계)를 중심으로 하여, 주로 위치결정 정도시험방법, machining center의 수취검사방법, 단운동시험방법에 관하여 의논이 진전되고 있다. 종래의 공작기계의 수취검사항목인 기하학적 정도시험이나 공작정도시험만이 아니 고, 수치제어공작기계 특유의 시험 방법에 관한 의논이다. 특히 단운동시험은 검사규격에는 없는 전혀 새로운 검 사항목으로서, 특히 전용의 측정기구를 필요로 할 것, 특정결과의 해석이 간단하지 않다는 것, 경우에 따라서는 제조회사의 설계. 제조능력을 폭로하는 일도 있어서 이미본의 기업은 이 검사규격의 제정에는 매우 민감하다. 필 자는 일본의 ISO대표 위원으로서 국제회의에 출석하여 의논에 참석함과 동시에 일본공업규격(JIS)의 공작기계에 관계한 각종위원회의 주요 menber로서 활동해 왔다. 그리고 한편, 표준화에 관한 연구도 해왔다. 따라서, 금회의 강연회에서는 수치제어공작기계의 단운동시험방법과 그 결과를 이용하여 정도진단강법에 관하여 소개한다.

An analytic solution for the stirling engines with saw-toothed piston motions in adiabatic cylinders (단열실린더내에서 톱날파형 피스톤운동을 하는 스터링기관에 대한 해석적인 해)

  • An analytical method to predict qualitative performance characteristics of the Stirling Engines in the preliminary design stages is investigated. Both the expansion and the compression cylinder are treated as adiabatic and piston motions are approximated as saw-toothed waves. Basic equations which were originally proposed by Finkelstein consist of mass conservation and energy balances for each adiabatic cylinder. The approximation on piston motions and physical conditions make it possible to divide an engine cycle into four fundamental processes. In each process, first, pressure can be expressed as a function of the crank angle by solving a nonlinear first order ordinary differential equation and other thermodynamic variables are determined in turn. Application of the cyclic steady condition to the whole processes can complete a cycle. Also, further analysis results in analytic expressions for cyclic work and heat transfer in terms of the engine parameters and thermodynamic variables at boundary points. The results are expected useful as a quick reference for the engine performances. Finally, the present method can be applied to the other adiabatic analyses on the Stirling Engines with piece wise linear piston motions, if mass variations are predictable.

Elasto-plastic Loading-unloading Nonlinear Analysis of Frames by Local Parameter Control (국부변수 조절을 통한 프레임의 탄소성 하중-제하 비선헝 해석)

  • Even todays, accurate and efficient algorithms for the large deformation analysis of elastoplastic frame structures lack due to the complexities of kinematics, material nonlinearities and numerical methods to cater for. The author suggests appropriate beam element based upon the incremental formulation from the 3D rod theory where Cauchy stress and engineering strain are variables to incorporate plasticity equations so that objectivity may be satisfied. A rectum mapping methods which can integrate and satisfy yield criteria efficiently is suggested and a continuation method which has global convergency and quadratic speed is developed as well. leading-unloading example problems are tested and the ideas are proved to be valuable.
