Development of Kinect-Based Pose Recognition Model for Exercise Game (운동 게임을 위한 키넥트 센서 기반 운동 자세 인식 모델 개발)

  • Recently there has been growing popularity in exergame, such as Wii Sport or Xbox Fitness game, which enables users to get physical exercise while playing the games. In such experienced exercise games, the user's posture recognition is very important to find out exactly how much the users need to take their body posture as compared to the proper posture. This paper proposes a new exercise posture recognition model designed for the exercise game content for the elderly. The proposed model is based on extracting feature points of a skeleton model provided by the Kinect sensor to generate the feature vectors to recognize the user's exercise posture information. This paper describes the design and implementation of the exercise posture recognition model and demonstrates the feasibility of this proposed posture recognition model through a simple experiment. The experimental results showed 94.52% of average accordance rate for 12 exercise postures of 10 participants.

Effects of complex exercises in pressure-pain threshold, pain and postural alignment of women university students with shoulder pain (복합운동이 어깨통증을 경험한 여대생들의 압통역치, 통증 및 자세정렬에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine if complex exercises could improve pressure-pain threshold and postural alignment in university students. Subjects in the CON group did not receive an intervention. Subjects in the EXP1 group were applied stretching exercises after applying hot packs on their both shoulders. Subjects in the EXP2 group were applied complex exercises including stretching, stabilization exercises of shoulder girdle and correction of wrong postures. Changes in pressure-pain threshold in the EXP1 group and EXP2 group were greater than that in the CON group (p<0.05). Changes in VAS scores in the EXP1 group and EXP2 group were greater than that in the CON group (p<0.05). Changes of postural alignment did not significantly differ among three groups (p>0.05). The results of this study indicates that complex exercises including stretching exercises, stabilization exercises of shoulder girdle and correction of wrong postures about neck and scapular can be an effective in reduction of shoulder pain and increase of pressure-pain threshold in women university with shoulder pain.

  • 본 논문은 한국에서 야구에 관련 직무에 종사하는 사람 또는 야구를 배우고 싶은 사람에게 도움을 주고자 Kinect의 모션 인식 센서를 이용하여 자세인식에 관련 된 연구 내용이다. 야구를 배우고자 하는 사람들에게 자세에 대한 교정과 자신이 직접 자신의 자세를 보면서 활용할 수 있도록 하는 것이 궁극적 목표이며 프로그램의 제작자의 개입이 없이 사용자가 주제가 될 수 있도록 한다. Kinect에서의 야구 자세를 저장하여 자신의 모습과 비교하여 자세에 대한 피드백을 받을 수 있다. 이 프로그램을 통해 사람들이 좀 더 야구에 대해 쉽게 접근하고 이용할 수 있음이 프로그램의 구현 방향이며 야구를 접하는 사람들에게 자세 부분에 도움을 주고 야구를 즐기는 사람들도 도움을 얻는 기대효과를 가지는 프로그램이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Kinect Sensor를 활용하여 사용자의 뒤틀린 자세를 교정하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 어플리케이션을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 어플리케이션은 사용자의 자세 교정 부위 별로 분류하여 제시함으로써 체계적인 교정과 운동 효과를 볼 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • 개인별 건강관리에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 다양한 형태의 운동관리 프로그램이 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 개인별 맞춤 트레이닝 관리를 위해 키넥트 센서를 활용한 셀프 운동 교정 프로그램을 개발하였다. 셀프 운동 교정 프로그램의 동작 과정은 다음과 같이 구성된다. 1)키넥트 센서를 활용하여 사용자의 운동 모습을 촬영 2) USB 어댑터를 이용하여 PC와 연동한 후 실시간으로 골격분석 및 좌표를 추출 및 각도를 계산 3)표준 자세의 데이터와 비교, 분석하여 잘못된 동작을 인식 4)잘못된 동작이 인식되면 음성지원을 통해 실시간 알림, 운동이 끝난 후 수집되는 운동 기록(횟수, 영상) 데이터를 데이터베이스에 저장하고 열람 및 관리할 수 있도록 함으로써 효율적으로 개인 운동교정이 가능하다.

  • Squat exercise is one of the free weight exercises that are recognized as important from a bio-mechanical point of view. It is an important exercise to train lower extremity muscles in daily activities or sports activities and to strengthen trunk and lower body strength. It is effective and accurate to use a variety of assistive devices to calibrate athletic posture with squat exercise supported interactive device. The issues of the structural analysis for design a foot plate for squat exercise is to model the behavior by simplifying the dynamic behavior. In this paper, the authors proposed a exercise system design method for the vertical load distribution and bio-mechanical signal process used for the squat exercise mechanism analysis, and based on these results, designed device can make the more safe and reliable free weight exercise. It is applied to system design through design method with kinematic dynamic, VR device and estimation model of exercise.

Effects of Cervical Spinal Stabilization Training in Private Security on Chronic Neck Pain and Cervical Function, Neck Pain, ROM (경부안정화 운동이 민간 경비원의 목통증, 경부장애지수, 관절가동범위에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of using cervical spinal stabilization exercise for the improvement of pain intensity, cervical range of motion, neck disability index, reposition sense, muscle tenderness with chronic neck pain in private security. For 21 patients diagnosed with chronic cervical pain and divided into cervical spinal stabilization exercise group and postural correction exercise group. Each exercise was conducted for 8 weeks. Pain and neck disability index were measured before and after exercise using the visual analogue scale(VAS) and the neck disability index(NDI). Range of motion were measured electronic goniometer, muscle tenderness of upper trapezius ad sternocleidomatoid were measured algometer, reposition sense were measured reposition panel before and after exercise. After 8 weeks of exercise, the cervical stabilization exercise group pain and neck disability were significantly decreased(p<0.05). Also there was significant difference in both group(p<0.05). In addition, range of motion, muscle tenderness reduce rate, reposition sense were significantly increase as compared to the pre-post exercise in cervical stabilization exercise group(p<0.05). But there was no significantly difference in postural correction group before and after exercise(p>0.05). And there was significantly increase more cervical stabilization exercise group than postural correction exercise group in range of motion, muscle tenderness reduce, reposition sense. In summary, cervical spinal stabilization exercise is more effective in improving cervical range of motion, muscle pain, reposition sense in private security on chronic cervical pain patients, in reducing patients' pain and disability. It is an effective treatment to aid rehabilitation in these cases.

  • 선진국 및 국내에서도 붐이 일고 있는 스포츠 중에서 골프는 빼놓을 수 없는 위치의 스포츠이다. 그러나 골프는 필드에서 클럽만을 가지고 즉시 경기를 할 수 있는 운동이 아니다. 필드에 나가기 전 많은 연습과정을 통해 충분한 자세의 습득과 정확한 샷을 할 수 있는 운동의 선행 과정을 먼저 거쳐야 한다. 그러나 골프의 자세를 교습하기 위해서는 지도자의 직접적인 교정이 필수적 이였으나 이는 교습비의 부담 증가로 이어져 골프를 대중화하기 어렵게 하는 한 가지 요인 이였으며, 또한 타격 연습을 위한 기존의 골프 연습기는 단순히 공을 타격위치에 가져다 놓기만 할 뿐이기 때문에 연습자 자신의 자세를 확인할 수 없어 잘못된 자세를 익히게 되는 경우가 발생한다.(중략)

Effects of Balletfit on the Body Shape (발레핏(Balletfit)프로그램이 체형 변화에 미치는 효과 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the principles of Balletfit and its program structure and to establish Balletfit's effects on body shape change and postural correction. Interview, the most commonly used method of qualitative research, was chosen as the research method. Ten Balletfit class participants, who have attended private lessons twice per week, for three to six months period of time, were selected. These participants were chosen from participants of private lessons instead of group lessons for in-depth insights. The research was limited to a small group of participants and therefore, it is difficult to standardize the result. Also, because this study is based on the opinions of the participants, not by a posture measuring device, the accuracy of the result is limited as well. The followings are the conclusion of this research. First, the participation motive was either internet research or acquaintance's recommendation. Secondly, the effort to change the body shape. After experiencing Balletfit classes, the participants became aware of their body and made an effort to recover their posture by holding the stomach tight and sitting up correctly. Thirdly, their posture became ideal. Most participants became aware of what an ideal posture is and as their body became ideal, the participants also recovered their health by becoming aware of their inner and outer body. Lastly, they tend to prefer beautiful body line. After the experience, all participants became interested in the body line and preferred to build a beautiful body line with correct postures. The most significant effect of Balletfit was the body line. Therefore, the experience of Balletfit develops the inner and outer body awareness and also can be consider to effect the change of the body shape. Balletfit will become a satisfying exercise for modern people, who desire a beautiful, healthy body.
