This article tries to analyze some examples applied the analytico-synthetic classification techniques found in the practical life. For this purpose, it selected and investigated the cases of the combination rules of the Hangeul, the number systems of the city buses of Daegu and Seoul Cities, information of the members of the wedding consulting agencies, information from real estate agents and court auction, and postal codes and direct distance dialing(DDD) numbers in Korea. It suggests that applying the analytico-synthetic classification techniques to the systems can improve them especially in the regards of notational systems.

우편설문조사를 이용한 조건부가치측정법을 통해 자료를 수집할 경우 무응답자의 발생은 보편적이며, 그러한 무응답자의 존재는 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚) 가능성을 내재하고 있으므로, 표본의 통계치를 이용한 모집단에 대한 확대 적용을 위해서는 우선적으로 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚)에 대한 검정(檢定)이 이루어져야 하며. 또한 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚) 발생시 이에 대한 적절한 조치가 취해져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 다단계 우편설문발송법을 통해 수집된 자료를 이용하여 효과적인 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚) 검정(檢定)의 수행과 무응답자군(無應答者群)의 평균지불의사액을 별도로 추정한 후 이를 이용하여 보다 합리적이고 정확한 총지불의사액(Aggregate WTP)의 도출방법을 제시하였다. 이는 우선적으로 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚)를 분산분석을 통해 검정(檢定)한 후 선형외삽법으로 무응답자군(無應答者群)의 평균지불의사액을 추정하여 이를 모집단의 총지불의사액을 산출하는데 이용하는 방법으로 기존의 보수적인 방법들보다 상대적으로 저렴한 비용으로 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚) 검정(檢定)을 가능하게 하며, 사회적 또는 인구특성상의 차이를 이용한 통계적 가중치 이용방법과는 달리 연구자의 직접적인 관심의 대상이 되는 지불의사액을 이용하여 무응답자편의(無應答者偏倚) 테스트를 하고 또한 무응답자군(無應答者群)의 평균지불의사액을 추정하여 보다 효율적이며 타당성이 있는 총지불의사액을 산출해 낼 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

We examine the response patterns to web survey with a series of experiments embedded in a survey of students at the Sookmyung Women's University. A sample of 960 students was sent e-mail invitation to participate in a internet survey, The response rate was 53.9% except partial and overall non-response. Methodological experiments included the use of a pre-notification, reminder notices as well as the type of questionnaire. These factors that manipulate the perceived burden of the task had an effect on the likelihood of accepting the survey invitation. This paper discusses the overall implementation and outcome of the survey, and describes the results of the imbedded design experiments. Also we compared the representative of self-selected and probability sample.

In this study, we have developed and evaluated an information extracting module based on the named entity recognition technique. For the given purpose in this paper, the module was designed to apply to the problem dealing with extraction of postal address information from arbitrary documents without any prior knowledge on the document layout. From the perspective of information technique practice, our approach can be said as a probabilistic n-gram (bi- or tri-gram) method which is a generalized technique compared with a uni-gram based keyword matching. It is the main difference between our approach and the conventional methods adopted in natural language processing that applying sentence detection, tokenization, and POS tagging recursively rather than applying the models sequentially. The test results with approximately two thousands documents are presented at this paper.

Considering a trend of logistics and transport industry in these days, it can be said that international express courier service is one of the most familiar transport type to the general public. Especially in Korea, due to development of electronic commercial transaction and the popularity of television home shopping, it can easily anticipated that express courier business will continuously grown in the future. However, the legal basis for international express courier is not properly set up so far. The only clause about this can be found on Korean Aviation Law said as 'commercial documents delivery business'. The origin of the commercial documents delivery business in Aviation Law is to make exception from public postal services which has been exclusive status as monopoly based on the Korean Postal Law. Basically, according to this regulation, all the private postal delivery is prohibited except some sort of commercial documents such as consignment notes, packing list, invoice etc. Thus, those documents could be delivered not only by public postal services but also by private courier company according to the Korean Postal Law. This waiver has probably come from under developing condition of Korean postal circumstances, however it should be revised according to the modernized business practice. Reflecting these revisions, the articles of Korean Postal Law adopted 'international express courier document' as the exception of postal service. Therefore, Korean Aviation Law also needs to be revised as Postal Law in due course. In addition to revision of Korean Aviation Law, some sort of new legislation is required to govern the private legal aspects such as legal liabilities, duties and rights of each parties on international express courier. This should be governed by 'law' not by 'terms and conditions' provided by business operators. Furthermore, to support and develop the current domestic logistics companies as international express courier company, it is required to regulate with the separate express courier law.

서울지역의 건강한 중년 자원자 91명(남 42명, 여 49명)을 대상으로 24시간 회상법을 이용한 3일간의 식품 및 영양소 섭취실태조사와 1년간의 식품섭취빈도조사를 6개월 간격으로 조사하였다. 1차 조사는 대상자가 작성해 온 조사지를 훈련된 영양사와의 면담을 통하여 수정, 보충하였으며, 2차 조사는 6개월 후 대상자가 직접 기록하여 우편을 통하여 접수하였다. (중략)

최근 고성능 PC의 보급과 네트워크의 발달로 인하여 인터넷의 가용 정보가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 우리는 인터넷을 사용하여 많은 정보를 얻고 있다. 그러나 인터넷에 존재하는 정보는 수많은 웹 서버에 주소(URL)를 가지고 존재하게 되는데 사용자는 자신이 관심 있는 정보의 사이트를 재방문하기 위하여 웹 브라우저 북 마크 기능을 사용한다. 그러나, 북 마크를 효율적으로 사용하기 위해서는 북 마크 분류, 수정, 편집, 정렬등의 북 마크 관리가 필수적이지만 이와 같은 북 마크 관리 작업이 전반적으로 수작업으로 이루어져야 하는 단점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 한가지 방법으로 웹 문서 분류를 위한 기계학습법을 적용하여 사용자의 북 마크를 카테고리별로 자동으로 분류, 재정렬해주는 북 마크 자동 분류 에이전트를 개발하고자 한다. 대표적인 분류 에이전트 시스템으로는 전자우편 분류 에이전트인 Maxims, 뉴스 기사 분류 에이전트인 NewT, 엔터테인먼트 선별 에이전트인 Ringo 등이 있으며, 이러한 시스템들은 분류 대상과 분류 방법, 기능 등에서 차이를 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 대표적인 교사학습 방법인 나이브 베이지안 학습법을 사용하여 북 마크를 자동으로 분류하는 북 마크 자동 분류 에이전트를 설계, 구현하였다.

최근 인터넷의 발전으로 많은 정보와 지식을 우리는 인터넷에서 제공받을 수 있게되었다. 인터넷에 존재하는 정보는 수많은 웹서버에 산재되어 있으며, 정보의 위치는 주소(URL)를 가지고 존재하게 되는데 사용자는 자신이 관심있는 정보의 주소를 저장하기 위하여 웹브라우저 북마크(Bookmark)기능을 사용한다. 그러나 북마크 기능은 웹문서의 주소 저장에 일차적인 목적을 두고 있으며, 이후 북마크의 개수가 증가하면, 사용자는 북마크관리가 어렵게되므로 사용자 북마크 파일을 자동으로 분류하여 관리할수 있는 에이전트 기술을 사용하고자 한다. 대표적인 분류에이전트 시스템으로는 전자우편 분류 에이전트인 Maxims, 뉴스기사 분류 에이전트인 NewT, 엔터테인먼트(Entertainment) 선별 에이전트인 Ringo 등이 있다. 이러한 시스템들은 분류할 대상에 따라 조금씩 다른 모습의 에이전트 기능을 보이고 있으며, 본 논문은 기계학습 이론중 교사학습 알고리즘인 나이브 베이지안 학습방법(Naive Bayesian Learning method)을 사용하여 사용자가 분류하지 못한 북마크를 자동으로 분류하는 단일 에이전트 기반 북마크 분류기를 설계, 구현하고자한다.
