도로명주소는 2014년부터 본격 사용 중에 있으며 점차 활용이 증가하고 있다. 도로명은 행정구역과 함께 사용되며 거점을 표현하는 기준점으로서 도로명의 간결성은 우편/물류 등의 다양한 분야에서 주소정보를 입력하는 업무에서 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 도로명주소 체계에서 정의된 도로명 부여 규칙을 토대로 실제 사용 중인 도로명에 대해 살펴보고 도로명 주소 입력 간편화 등의 관점에서의 개선 방향을 제시한다.

기업에서 발생하는 물류비용 중에 운송비가 차지하는 비중은 50% 이상이다. 국제 유가 급등에 따른 운송비용이 급상승하면서 배송관리의 중요성은 더욱 커지고 있다. 배송관리시스템은 고객에게 주문받은 물품을 물류센터에서 배송계획을 수립하여 배차지시, 정산관리 및 차량의 트랙킹 등 전반적인 배송과정을 관리하는 시스템이다. 기존의 배송방법은 우편번호를 기준으로 하는 고정 라우팅 방식을 사용하였다. 이러한 방식은 배송기사가 비교적 쉽게 배송할 수는 있지만 물동량의 급격하게 변할 때에는 실시간으로 대응하지 못하는 문제점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 물동량의 변화에 효율적으로 대응하여 배송하기 위한 방안으로 지능형 배송관리시스템의 설계 방안을 제안한다.

Moreover a new logistics concept is needed through the sharing information between suppliers and consumers, which maximizes the level of customers service and its flexibility by changing functional-oriented to process-oriented. In other words, Supply Chain Management(SCM) is now considered as a key aspect of business, which controls the flows of information, funds, and goods in the supply chain. Rationalization of transport-delivery system will be one of the most important issues on logistics management to the domestic companies. The companies need the effective delivery system. Especially in the case of delivery system from distribution centers to customers or vendors, it might take a long time to control the delivery system manually because it would be hard to apply the automatic vehicle routing algorithm effectively considering all the practical constraints. Thus this study develops a heuristic algorithm of automatic vehicle delivery support system in terms of grouping by short ranges of vehicle movement utilizing postal coordinates, which satisfies a variety of realistic constraints and reduces controlling time of manual operations.

Address and location information is gaining importance as a channel between business entities and customers. However, as the new address scheme, which is based on street name and building number, is deployed, various problems occurred in the areas of postal service, logistics and management of customer information. And therefore it is necessary to make plans for integration and application of address information and location information. In this study, we clearly identify the problems when the governments and companies manage the address and location information under the circumstances of new address system. And we suggest improvement plans from the viewpoint of code scheme and database linkage.

Visibility of the flow of goods is an important service element when considering how to improve the quality of a logistics service. Registered mail service of Korea Post, one of logistics service providers, currently supply information on the handling of postal items, such as receipts and delivery and arrival times to customers. However, internally problems related to excessive spending on operating expenses and less reliable tracking and tracing information exist due to errors in the information acquisition and link handling processes, leading to unnecessarily duplicated tasks. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to propose process optimization method for improving the quality of tracking and tracing information for registered mail items. We analyzed the process and information control system of the current registered mail service and identified the basic causes of the existence of less reliable tracking and tracing information. And we present optimized mail handling and information management process for removing internal problems. Test results using tracking and tracing information examples show a significant performance of the proposed method.

In this paper, we analyze process of implementing and successful enabler of Postal Logistics Integrated Information Systems(PostNet) through a case study on Korea Post. PostNet was integrated by considering contingently organizational integration (organizational structure redesign), strategical integration (business process reengineering), and technical integration(data integration, application integration, and integrated platform implementation). And also integration was implemented for supporting three aspects. PostNet has implication for advanced integration with business mission and operational efficiency by comparing integration with physical level and hardware level. Korea Post has the biggest logistics network, organization, and service in logistics industry area. The results of this paper will suggest theoretical framework for the future information system integration, and will be utilized as a practical guideline for the information system integration.

In this paper, we suggest postal RFID adaptation model, tag data structure and code which can be used for real time trace and track of parcel processing and pallet management. This paper also shows postal RFID application system architecture and testbed based on the proposed tag data structure and code, and shows recognition performance of tag on parcel and pallet by speed and mounting tag material such as can, water, and paper using implemented postal RFID system for postal logistics. The contribution of this paper is to stimulate deployment of RFID technology for postal logistics service and SCM (Supply Chain Management).

As facing the rapid advance of information technologies, the postal service is required to have capabilities of real-time logistics characterized by collaboration, ubiquity and intelligence which are necessary to the organizational management. In this study we discuss the design of the next generation information system based on real-time enterprise strategy to achieve real-time integrity and upgrade of postal information system. After briefly addressing the issues on developing information system and current situation, we provide the design direction and the framework of the to-be system. We develop detailed specification of each subsystem and provide an operational scenario. We believe when this framework is put into use, it can contribute to competitive performance by giving the integrity and consistency in implementing information systems of the Korea Postal Service.

As facing the challenges from many competitors, the Office of Korea Postal Service has issued the fundamental plan of business renovation which includes the master plan of the information systems. In this paper we discuss the design of a to-be information system for postal service, which will be provided for the completion of the master plan. After briefly discussing the issues on developing information system and the current situation, we provide the design concept and the framework of the to-be system based on the bench marking and gap analysis with advanced systems. The to-be system consists of eight subsystems which can be grouped into three categories; intelligent systems, operational systems, and platforms. We develop detailed specification of each subsystem and provide an operational scenario. We also explain how the to-be system compatibly fits into an integrated information system, which will include the postal, banking, and management functions, to perform its ultimate role for the efficient postal service.

The Korea Post is providing postal, savings, and insurance services to the public. Although it has been automated due to the development of the industry, the risk of industrial accidents is high. Safety and health education should be effectively conducted to reduce industrial accidents. In this study, a survey was conducted for postal service workers. As a result, there was a tendency to prefer instructors with technical experience and professional qualifications, and increasing direct participation training through on-site inspection and audio-visual training and hands-on training were found to be helpful. analyzed.
