Down syndrome patients generally have poor oral hygiene due to lack of awareness and ability to perform oral care, and there is a high risk of tooth loss. Also, they are characterized by small and irregular teeth and oligodontia, which makes it difficult to do prosthetic treatment. This article reports a case of implant hybrid prosthesis treatment of maxillary edentulous area in Down syndrome patient. The external shape of the final prosthesis was determined by using the mandibular artificial teeth to reflect the oligodontia of the mandible and the pontic areas were adjusted to facilitate oral hygiene care. As a result, aesthetically and functionally satisfactory results were obtained.

"Euibangyoochui" is a great medical encyclopedia composed of 91 symptoms and signs of diseases which classified 150 kinds of reference books. It consisted mainly of fifty thousands of herbal prescriptions and therapeutics but it deals with other treatments like diet therapy, precautions, acupuncture and moxibustion, physical and breathing exercises as well. Unlike other medical references, this book made up these treatments as independent chapters. We tried to catch the meanings and characteristics of each chapters.

In this paper try to derive some implications through comparative studies of accelerator in Korea and US centering on accelerator process model. In addition, the concept of accelerator is defined comprehensively through the existing literature study, and the accelerator program is focused on the accelerator process model. In the study, three Korea and America accelerators were selected and analyzed as follows. First, we discussed the definition of the accelerator, the configuration program, and the differences with existing organizations. Second, after selecting three representative companies among Korean and American accelerators, history, programs, achievements, characteristics, and limitations were derived. Third, based on the existing literature research, we compared the differences in appearance and performance between the six Korean and US accelerator companies using the table. Finally, the limitations and implications of domestic accelerators are described.

Satirical cartoon features figure characters that liken to particular figures or social phenomenon to satirize particular figures or social phenomenon. Through the words and actions of figure characters in satirical carton, fraudulentact of man in power or irrational social phenomenon is revealed. The National Intelligence Service (NIS) female agent that is the figure character of this study has been appearing in satirical cartoon for a long time and it likens to social phenomenon instead of a actual figure. The reason why the NIS female agent has been appearing as a figure character in satirical cartoon for a long time is because related social phenomenon has not ended and is still in progress. In addition, the reason why it likens to social phenomenon instead of an actual figure is based on the fact that it is not easy to identify her face that has been hidden, which makes it difficult to exaggerate the characteristic of the figure. Her hidden face is also an expression of the desire to hide that is symbolized by baseball cap and muffler. Her hidden face and the desire to hide make it easy to substitute to other related figure or social phenomenon instead of actual figure. Namely, outward appearance of the NIS female agent has a good condition for combining 'added significance' in satirical cartoon. Irrelevant to actual NIS female agent, a satirical cartoon figure of NIS female agent is being combined with various meanings when needed and it is substituted as another figure, group or social phenomenon as the actual figure disappears. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to reveal the role of figure character in satirical cartoon by symbolically analyzing the figure character that appears in satirical cartoon as 'NIS female agent'. The followings were revealed through the symbolic analysis of figure character in satirical cartoon in this study. First, satirical cartoon satirizes social phenomenon. Figure character in satirical cartoon satirizes social phenomenon in place of actual figure. Second, satirical cartoon satirizes core or embarrassing area of irrational social phenomenon created by politics. Figure character in satirical cartoon satirizes core or embarrassing area of social phenomenon by revealing it in place of actual figure. Third, satirical cartoon sends a message of warning to a responsible person of irrational social phenomenon created by politics. The number of registered vehicles increased to one million in 1985 and ten million in 1997, and the parking lots in multi-family housing complex that had been mainly constructed on the ground level began to be constructed in underground levels. Therefore, planting design in such complex were greatly changed. This study classifies the parking lots in multi-family housing complexes located in Cheongju into three categories: above-ground, mixture of above-ground and underground, and underground. The characteristics of planting design in each were then analyzed. The rate of parking per family increased by two or more in the type of mixture when compared to in the type of above-ground. As underground parking lots became dominant, the rate of parking per family increased to one car or more. The green area ratio did not change considerably when above-ground parking was combined with underground parking, but the green area per total floor space was reduced, which indicates the quality of green area became lower. Most of the parking lots in multi-family housing complexes since 2000 have been constructed underground, and the green area became larger. As for the species of trees used in planting design, trees that are vulnerable to damage by blight and harmful insects and may be repugnant have been reduced and replaced by trees whose shapes are beautiful and whose flowers and fruits can be appreciated, such as Chionanthus retusa, Malus floribunda, Styrax japonicus, Prunus mume, Lagerstroemia indica. Pine trees are variously planted with diversified standards, and, in particular, tall pine trees are being utilized as focal points. Herbaceous flowers began to be planted in underground parking lots constructed since 2000, and they are expected to be planted even more due to the appreciation of their flowers and their splendid appearance.

The expected demands for the new styling design can be studied by examining the recent deliveries and the new buildings on order. These ships are setting the trend for the operation of passenger ships. There has been a rapid increase in size and produce of ship some remarkable exterior design image. These ships follow very similar design concept, even if their operator compete with each other in the same market. But also new innovative design solution have been introduced to catch the interest of the passengers. The propose of this study is to investigate the exterior styling design in passenger ships, which result form examining the exterior elements such as funnels, pods, hulls, trademark, colours, flowing curvilinear lines and from. Each different passenger ship lines require different design style for different markets, while ships of different sizes and categories obviously require different solution. When a new class is created later, key design element will be retained, with some items being changed and new ideas introduced.

This paper proposed a framework of recognition and tracking for underwater objects using sonar images as an alternative of underwater optical camera which has the limitation of usage due to turbidity. In Part 1, a design and recognition method for 2D artificial landmark was proposed considering the practical performance of current imaging sonars. In particular, its materials are selected in order to maximize detectability based on characteristics of imaging sonar and ultrasonic waves. It has a simple and omni-directional shape which allows an easy modeling of object, and it includes region based features as identifications. Also, we proposed a real-time recognition algorithm including edge detector, Hough circle transforms, and shape matrix based recognition algorithm. The proposed methods are verified by basin tests using DIDSON.

Restrictive dermopathy is a rare autosomal recessive disorder in which rigidity or tautness of the skin from the second trimester causes a fetal akinesia deformation sequence (FADS) and early death. Characteristic features include taut skin with prominent subcutaneous vessels, widely open fontanelles and cranial sutures, distinctive facies, flexion contractures, pulmonary hypoplasia, sparse eyelashes and and eyebrows, thin dysplastic clavicles. The histologic abnormalities of the skin are located in a thin dermis, consisting of compactly arranged collagen fibers, scanty elastic fiber. The dermoepidermal junction is flat, and epidermal appendages are absent, miniaturized or immature. The presence of adipose tissue may be increased. We report on the first Korean case of restrictive dermopathy with typical clinical features and histological findings.

Kabuki syndrome is a rare congenital disorder that causes multiple birth defects and mental retardation. Mutation of the lysine methyltransferase 2D (KMT2D) gene is the primary cause of Kabuki syndrome. We report a 4-year-old Korean girl diagnosed with Kabuki syndrome based on distinctive facial features (eversion of the lower lateral eyelid, arched eyebrows, depressed nasal tip, prominent ears), skeletal anomalies, short stature, and molecular analysis, which revealed a novel frameshift mutation in the KMT2D gene. A 4-year-old patient had a past history of congenital cardiac malformations (coarctation of the aorta, ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus), subclinical hypothyroidism and dysmorphic features at birth including webbed neck, short fingers, high arched palate, micrognathia and horseshoe kidney. She showed unique facial features such as a long palpebral fissure, long eyelashes, arched eyebrows with sparseness of the lateral third, broad nasal root, anteverted ears, and small mouth. Her facial features suggested Kabuki syndrome, and genetic analysis discovered a novel heterozygous frameshift mutation (c.4379dup, p.Leu1461Thrfs*30) in exon 15 of the KMT2D gene. The diagnosis of our 4-year-old patient was made through thorough physical examination and history taking, and genetic testing. It is challenging to diagnose patients with Kabuki syndrome at birth, since the characteristic facial features are expressed gradually during growth. Clinical suspicion aroused by regular follow-ups may lead to earlier diagnosis and interventions.

Landscape around a settlement is not only a natural object, but also a matters of the man in the co-relation with his environment. Man perceives the landscape rational or sensible. Then it changes into the substance for him and influences him: as we see often in the folklore, that is of importance in the mind. Man reacts against his surroundings deceidedly, selfassurd or commonly, and uses sometimes the landscape to the elements for realization, physical or symbolical. Out of one character of korean villages, adaption to the circumstances, we can notice also its inner image, the reflection of the mind. Seeing and perceiving the environment emotional or reasonable and, reflecting and descreibing the inner self on the space. Here, the landscape and the nature are matter of the man, a scale for his ethical estimation or a mailer of the realization his mind. It is difficult, but important, such a immanent picture in(or of) the landscape to find. This is a preliminary study in such a way.
