The wrist joint was consisted with various bones, ligaments, and muscles. The wrist joint is difficult to understand, because of its complicated anatomical structure. The wrist joint is not one space but three joints; radiocarpal joint between distal radioulnar and proximal carpal bone, midcarpal joint between proximal and distal carpal bone, and distal radioulnar joint between distal radius and ulnar head. Normally each joint is separated from each other. Exact understanding about normal anatomy of the wrist joint is necessary for treatment of disease and injury in wrist joint. In this reviews, we will see normal anatomy of the wrist joint.

Purpose : To evaluate the efficacy of arthroscopic management of the triangular fibrocartilage complex(TFCC). Materials and Methods : Thirteen patients(14 wrists) with acute or chronic traumatic triangular fibrocartilage complex lesions were included in the study. The mean patients' age was 28.3 years, with a range of 21 to 45 years. All patients were diagnosed by physical examination, arthrographic or magnetic resonance imaging studies. Eight of the 14 wrists had central TFCC tear while 6 wrists had peripheral tear. Under arthroscopic control, injuries to the central portions were treated by debridement and excision of unstable tissue fragment while peripheral tears were repaired. The follow-up period averaged 28 months. The results were analyzed clinically using the Mayo modification of the Green and O' Brien wrist scoring system. Results : Nine of the 14 wrists were rated excellent,3 good and 2 fair Overall, 12 of the 14 patients rated as satisfactory and returned to sports or work activities. Conclusion : Arthroscopic treatment of TFCC resulted in a high degree of patient satisfaction and an increase in the ability to perform at workshop.

Objectives: This study is to report three cases those have an meaning for rheumatoid arthritis treatment by oriental medicine. In this case rheumatoid arthritis patients have phalangeal and carpal joints disorder mainly. Methods: These patients were treated by acupuncture and herb medication. Results: After treatment, the conditions of patients were improved with oriental medicine, so in two cases rheumatoid arthritis disappeared, but in one case rheumatoid arthritis not appeared. Conclusions: These results suggested that oriental medical treatment was effective to improve the condition of rheumatoid arthritis patients.

A 23.5 kg179, 8 months olds non-spaycd female Rottweiler dog was submitted to the veterinary teaching animal hospitals Chonbuk: national university, for chronic bitten trauma on right foreleg with pain, lameness, and pronation. The patient fought with a neighboring dog about five months ago and had mild anorexia, depression, bolt normal walking at that time. CBC and blood chemical examination were in normal range. Physical examination resulted in the right foreleg with edema and interval rotation of carpal joint. Radiograph of the right carpus showed varus and subluxation. We finally diagnosed the patient as the growth deformity of distal radius and ulna caused by medial premature closure of distal radial physis. Osteotomy was performed fur reforming of the varus of the distal radius and ulna with 6-hole straight plate and six 3.5 mm screws. Panarthrodcsis of carpus was preformed for correcting subluxation using 6-hole T-shaped plate and four 3.5 mm screws with cortical onlay autograft and strengthened by two 3.5 mm screws and tension wire band in lateral aspect of the carpus. Follow-up radiographs after 16 weeds of the surgery showed complete coaptation of osteotomy sire of the radius and uIna. After 6 months of the procedurc, talc plate, screws and the wire were removed except 7-shaped plate and four screws fur arthrodesis. The patient was seen in normal forelimb and could walk and run without lameness after 7 months of the procedure.
