Having observed the restriction of the current Web technology, the semantic Web has been developed, and it now has grown up with the core help of the W3C to a level where it recommends the OWL Web ontology language. Besides, in order to deduce the information out of OWL data, several inference systems have been developed such as Jena, Jess, and JTP. Unfortunately, however, quite few systems can effectively handle recently developed OWL data, and further, due to the limitation of file-based operation, the current inference systems cannot meet the requirements for handing huge OWL data. An efficient method for storing and searching ontology data is essential for ensuring stable information inference processes. In this study, firstly, we proposed a model based on the database management system to transform and store OWL data and to enable deduction process from the database. Secondly, we designed and implemented an effective OWL storing system based on our model. Finally, we compare our system with the previous inference systems through experimental performance analysis.
Disaster sign data is confirmed data by the experts to the collected data from web and users. In this paper, we focused to make the risk scores to the data based on ontology technology. To analyse the data, first of all, we defined the ontological structure for 4 kinds of disaster types which consists of the bridges, workplaces, buildings, and walls. Base on the ontologies, collected the accidents examples, and then extract the risk rules from the examples. The rules are adjusted with frequencies and weights, and managed to the ontology DB. The rules apply to the disaster sign data, and then calculates the risk scores. It plays role of the index to the risk rates. The disaster sign data management system was implemented and the rules were verified to the system. Because the quality of the risk scores to the disaster sign data depends on the data of the accidents examples's qualities, we assure that the system's performance will be monotonic increasing following up the data upgrades. Continuously, data management is needed. Also the quality control of the rules are needed.

Grid Computing has enabled enormous amount of computational jobs by connecting distributed computing resources. This technology has developed and widely used in various fields. Previous researches usually focused on how to efficiently manage and use the grid resources. However, there was not enough tries to understand and manage information of application softwares in a well-defined structure. Therefore users in application domain need to how about grid deeply to identify and describe the resource requirements matching for each jobs. We introduce a semantic grid management system based on application ontology to overcome this problem. We design and implement the ontology to store various information of the applications. With the ontology, this system can infer the resource requirements from input parameters and input data of the application software and automatically assign appropriate resources by matching the requirement. Also it can transform the information to other forms which grid middlewares can handle. We apply the system to construct an analysis environment of bioinformatics and compare it with other grid systems to explain usefulness of the system.
Recently, the issue of efficient power management in datacenters as a part of green computing has gained prominence. For realizing efficient power management, effective power monitoring and analysis must be conducted for servers in a datacenter. However, an administrator should know the exact structure of the datacenter and its associated databases, and is required to analyze relationships among the observed data. This is because according to previous monitoring approaches, servers are usually managed using only databases. In addition, it is not possible to monitor data that are not indicated in databases. To overcome these drawbacks, we proposed an ontology-based monitoring approach. We constructed domain ontology for management servers at a datacenter, and mapped observed data onto the constructed domain ontology by using semantic annotation. Moreover, we defined query creation rules and server state rules. To demonstrate the proposed approach, we designed an ontology based monitoring system architecture, and constructed a knowledge system. Subsequently, we implemented the pilot system to verify its effectiveness.
As the multimedia information retrieval system is advanced, the study of multimedia information retrieval is changing the method of low-level content based image retrieval to the semantical concept based retrieval. in this paper, we apply the theory of ontology to overcome the conceptual heterogeneity in the annotation based image retrieval. And we solve the some problems that happen when the ontology apply. As a result of our study, we try to apply the domain ontology to settle the conceptual heterogenity. In the experimental result, we knew that the semantic distance among the words is pretty dose when we apply the domain ontology than the wordnet. And in this paper, we show the possibility of the semantic image retrieval as we apply the domain ontology in the annotation based image retrieval.
This paper suggests an intelligent semantic blog model to systematically analyze and manage biogosphere with ontology as its conceptual knowledge base. In the model, the system managers may support users to easily find appropriate blog resources by tracking and analyzing various relationships between ontology - they may intelligently recommend Interest blog communities to relevant users by monitoring interaction activities in blogoshpere, dynamically grouping the communities with the ontology. To systematically specify the functionality of our model, 1) we first express the structure of blog resources in terms of objects and relationships between them and then 2) we formalize a set of operators designed to be applied to the resources. System queries are implemented by the combination of the operators.
As the semantic web receives higher concern with an intensified necessity in these days, the research on the ontology as its core technology has been carried out in various fields. The ontology has been adopted as an alternative to work out lots of problematic issues resulted from the insufficient vocabulary selection rules in folksonomy, widely accepted under Web 2.0. Therefore the importance of research to complementarily consolidate the two disciplines, the folksonomy and the ontology, has been increased. Based on this idea this research proposes a system, which pulls out, using open services, the location information tags from folksonomy-based metadata, ultimately extracts, following location information analyses, spatial relationships among tags, and in turn automatically constructs self-correcting location information domain ontology. The system devised in this study will associate data derived from easily accessible folksonomy with meaningful and technological information from ontology.

The semantic information provided through the semantic-based IoT system will produce new high value-added products that are completely different from what we have known and experienced. From this point of view, the key issue of current IoT technology and applications is the development of an intelligent IoT platform architecture. The proposed system collects the IoT data of the sensors from the cloud computer, converts them into RDF, and annotates them with semantics. The converted semantic data is shared and utilized through the ontology repository. We use KT's IoTMakers as a cloud computing environment, and the ontology repository uses Jena's Fuseki server to express SPARQL query results on the web using Daum Map API and Highcharts API. This gives people the opportunity to access the semantic IoT mash-up service easily and has various application possibilities.

In the architectural space, the user's behavior is the most important factor in evaluating the quality of architecture. Normally, the evaluation of user behavioral performance was carried out after a building was completed. Recently, interest in and efforts at pre-simulation based on information technology are accelerating. However, since existing user simulation technology is concerned mainly with simply escaping from a large space, it is impossible to simulate the behavior of multiple users in an architectural space. The present study strives to develop a human-figured intelligent agent for advanced user simulation based on ontology. The main purpose of the study is to employ the intelligent behaviors of a NPC(Non-player Character) to infer the ontology of both spatial and user information. In this paper, we intend to integrate ontology inference technology into the virtual space. And also, this study suggest the ontology visualization technology which illustrate the ontology-based information and their change in the spatial information.
