Fundamental study on the technology and application for the Next Generation Digital Textbook (차세대 디지털교과서를 위한 기반기술 및 적용에 관한 연구)

  • The digital textbook project which embarked by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has focused on experiments and practices from the school designated by the government. However the previous research about digital textbook provides static interaction models and teaching-learning models analogous to web-based learning based desktop PC even the framework of the digital textbook is based of Tablet PC. This paper provides learning and teaching models for next generation digital textbook which based digital inking techinques for sketcth interface and AR(augmented reality) interactions between teacher and learner. The proposed method of this paper is applied to educational contents and we found positive effect which is supported by statistical experiments. The results of this study in the future and the future development of digital textbooks in effect will be an effective development plan.

The Effects of Math Textbook Project Learning(MtPL) on Affective Domain (수학 교과서 프로젝트 학습이 정의적 영역에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted as a learning project for 20 pre-third graders in high school by means of math textbooks, G+, and sample questions from previous CSAT as learning tools for 9 weeks from Dec. 24, 2015. The purpose of the study was to develop 'math textbook project learning(MtPL)', a mixed learning method combined on-line with off-line, and analyze the effects of MtPL on the affective domain of high school students. As a result of the study, it was found that MtPL had positive effects on self-efficacy and self-confidence of students, while the collaborative learning using a textbook and teacher's role worked as instrumental motivation in mathematics learning. The result also implies that the perception of high school students, who think to resolve more difficult math problems to succeed in CSAT, about mathematics learning method has to be modified. Furthermore, it is shown that the preparation of CSAT by utilizing textbook and the use of textbook in math learning have been worked positively for the students.

  • 미래의 교육은 전통적인 면대면 방식으로 이루어지는 오프라인 학습과 컴퓨터와 네트워크를 활용한 온라인 학습이 통합적으로 이루어지는 학습체계 속에서 교과서의 지식을 학생들에게 전달하는 방식의 기존 교육과는 매우 다른 모습을 보일 것이고, 학습자 중심의 개인별 맞춤식 교육을 지향하고, 원활한 의사소통 방법을 이용하여 협력 중심의 활동을 강조할 것이다. 이에 교육현장에서는 다양한 이론과 연구를 통해 교수 학습방법 개선하고, 기초 기본 학력 신장에 끝없는 노력을 기울여 왔다. 하지만 이처럼 부단한 노력에도 불구하고 기초 기본 학력의 성취 수준이 부족한 학생은 여전히 대부분의 학급에서 많이 존재하고 있다. 때문에 학생들의 학력과 교사의 지도방법을 신뢰하지 못하는 학부모들은 자녀들을 어릴 때부터 사교육으로 내몰고 있는 것이 우리 교육의 현실이다. 이러한 현실에 공교육을 보완하기위해 등장한 사이버가정학습이 그 취지에 맞게 공교육울 내실화하여 학부모와 학생들에게 신뢰성을 회복한다면 사교육비 경감 효과와 더불어 제대로 된 학교 교육의 정체성을 확보하게 될 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 블렌디드 학습모형의 하나인 온라인 보충학습 결합모형을 적용하여 학생들에게 학습에 대한 흥미와 지적 호기심을 자극함으로써, 기초 기본학습의 내실화가 이루어져 결과적으로 학생들의 기초 기본학력이 신장되었음을 확인하였다.

Development of the Teaching-Learning Process Plan for 'Adolescent Nutrition and Dietary Behavior' of Middle School Technology and Home Economics through the Use of 'Blended Learning' Teaching Method (블렌디드 러닝을 활용한 중학교 기술·가정 '청소년기 영양과 식행동' 단원의 교수·학습과정안 개발)

  • This study aimed to develop a teaching-learning process plan for the 'adolescent nutrition and dietary behavior' unit of middle school technology and home economics through blended learning teaching method. "Analysis-Design-Development-Evaluation and Revision" model developed by Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE) was applied to developing the teaching-learning process plan. The authors analyzed subject contents suitable for blended learning, and then designed a teaching-learning process plan by selecting the topics, developing the teaching strategies, and deciding on the media and evaluation tools for each class. Based on the plan for each week, the final version of the teaching-learning process plan, handouts for activities, and evaluation tools were developed. The teaching-learning process plan was revised and supplemented based on the expert verification results. The developed teaching-learning process plan which applied blended learning method was considered suitable for the current curriculum, and the group presentation activities implimented in the online classes were found to encourage learners' participation and interest. Also, the developed teaching-learning process plan could be used in the online only environment without any issues depending on the intention of the classes, by the appropriate use of distance learning tools such as Paddles or Thinkerbells. The developed teaching-learning course plan is expected to be effectively used in either online or blended learning environment, as a means of helping adolescent students improve their dietary life.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 온라인과 오프라인 공간에 다양하게 존재하는 지리 관련 학습 자료를 매쉬업하여 지리교육사이트를 구현해 봄으로써 지도를 기반으로 한 지리교육용 웹 사이트 구축 가능성을 모색하는 데 있다. 그동안 교육 분야에서 API를 활용한 대부분의 연구가 사이트 구현을 제안하는 단계에 머무르고 있었다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 교과서 분석을 통하여 지리교육과 관련된 사진, 영상, 개념도, 모식도 등 다양한 자료를 매쉬업해 봄으로써, 정보 제공 방식의 변화를 추구하고, 직접 구현하여 API를 활용한 지리교육사이트의 구현 가능성을 제시한 것에 의의가 있다.

Analysis of the Experiences and Perceptions of Teachers Participating in the Development of Content-Based Online Science Class Videos, and the Characteristics of the Developed Class Content (콘텐츠 활용형 온라인 과학 수업 동영상 개발에 참여한 교사들의 경험과 인식, 개발된 수업 콘텐츠의 특징 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the experiences of teachers who participated in the development of online science class videos in the context of covid-19, their perception of online science class, and the characteristics of the online science class content developed by teachers. A survey and interviews were conducted with ten elementary school teachers who made online science class videos themselves. Also the characteristics of the online science class were investigated by analyzing the online science class video produced by the participants. As a result, participants in the study recognized the lack of production time, difficulty in filming and editing, concerns over misconceptions, the problem of solving copyrights for existing materials, and the burden of external disclosure. Although it was a teacher who had experience producing online science class video contents, no research participants actively answered the merits of online science class. On the other hand, the study participants cited that the shortcomings of online science classes were that students had fewer opportunities for inquiry and lack of communication or interaction. In particular, these shortcomings were thought to have a great influence on the quality of online science classes, especially in making inquiry classes difficult. Some teachers took a negative view that online science classes could not completely replace face-to-face classes. However, if multiple teachers are presented with supplementary teaching activities that complement the content-based online teaching method, the method of combining online science classes and face-to-face classes is not. Through the analysis of the contents of the online science class, the introduction and arrangement steps of the online science class were similar to the process of the face-to-face science class, but the inquiry step and the conceptual explanation step showed a big difference from the face-to-face science class.

A Study of Using e-textbook in Korea focusing on nursing professors and students (국내 간호학과 교수와 학생의 전자책 이용연구 - e-textbook 요구사항 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • 본 연구는 간호학과 교수들과 간호학과 학생들의 전자책에 대한 인식 및 이용현황을 살펴보고 앞으로 대학교 학술교재를 전자책으로 전환할 때 필요한 요소에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국 간호학과 교수 82명과 간호학과 학생 127명들을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여 전자책에 대한 선호도와 현재 사용 중인 대학교재를 전자책으로 대체할 경우 전자책의 원하는 기능들에 대해서 조사하였다. 70%이상의 응답자들이 대학교재는 아직까지 인쇄형태의 교과서를 선호하였으며, 그 이유로는 전자책으로 이용 가능한 교재수가 적고 전자책 단말기 구입비용에 대한 부담을 꼽았다. 전자책에 추가되었으면 하는 기능으로는 손쉬운 메모기능과 하이라이트 기능, 비디오나 이미지 자료 삽입, 검색의 용이성과 사전기능 추가를 추천하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 21세기에 인재양성에 필요한 학습능력의 동향을 알아보고 전통적 교육에서 스마트 교육으로 변화함에 따라 스마트 러닝 교수설계 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 21세기 사회는 지식기반사회, 지식정보사회 등 '지식'이 핵심 키워드라 할 수 있다. 기존의 전통적 지식과 21세기에 필요한 학습능력을 통합하여 디지털 교과서, 온라인 수업, 클라우드 교육 서비스, 스마트 교육환경의 콘텐츠와 교수학습 모형을 융합하는 새로운 교수설계 모형이 필요하며 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

Design and Implementation of Geographic Education Website Based on the Google Earth (구글어스 기반의 지리교육 사이트 설계 및 구현)

  • The purpose of this research is to explore the possibility of geographic education by implementing the map-based geographic education site which mashed up with Google earth by referring the various materials of geographic education which exist in on-line and off-line. In recent years map-based geographic education is required by the radical change of geoweb environments, but there have been few researches in this field. This research is folded up as follows: First, we designed the contents through the textbook analysis and then collect various data related to the contents such as pictures, video clips, conceptual map, etc. which are required to explain the concept. Second, we mashed up the collected data on the Google earth by using the Google's open API. Third, we implemented the geographic education website based on the classification of contents in textbook and the various collected data. This research is important in both that it explores the possibility of the map-based education rather than the text-based education in the geographic field which handles mainly the space and finds the best method to express the various concepts of the textbook on the geoweb environments.

Development of Housing Evaluation Questions to Enhance Higher-Thinking Skills in Middle school Home Economics (고등사고력 신장을 위한 중학교 기술.가정 주생활 영역 평가문항 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the evaluation questions to enhance the higher-thinking skills such as decision-making, creative thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving skills and metacognition in the housing area of middle school home economics. Two steps, selection of contents, development of questions and check the validity were adapted to develop the questions. The total of 28 evaluation elements were selected from the validity of contents and questions related to housing in the 9 textbooks based on the 2007 revised curriculum and in the three on-line question banks operated by public institutions. Four guidelines such as using multi-classified table, various materials, question types, and question structures were applied to develop the evaluation questions. The 80 evaluation questions with 175 associated sub questions related to housing were reviewed two times by two professionals to finalize. The five home economics teachers with various teaching experience have evaluated the validity of each 80 questions. The 57(71.3%) questions got 5 point with average of 4,9 out of 5 point-Likert validity scale. The result of high validity of the evaluation questions developed in this study examined by 5 teachers need to apply to students' test in the class.
