  • Since COVID-19, the education industry has shifted many of its activities to non-face-to-face channels, and many programs are still being conducted in non-face-to-face channels during the endemic. This study aims to analyze the quality factors affecting user satisfaction of synchronous and asynchronous channels operated non-face-to-face and compare the differences between the two channels. For this purpose, we analyzed the reviews of graduate students of the same content in the synchronous and asynchronous channels at H University in Seoul, Korea. The non-face-to-face learning quality factors derived through topic modeling are educational system quality, content quality, instructor quality, and expectation confirmation, and their effects on user satisfaction were empirically analyzed through survey responses related to these quality factors. The results showed that all of the quality factors had a significant positive effect on satisfaction, and there were significant differences in satisfaction factors between the two channels. This study is significant in that it suggests that improving the content itself for synchronous channels and improving the convenience of the program operation system for asynchronous channels is effective in improving user satisfaction.

  • In today's era when the concept of a lifelong job has disappeared, starting a business is an essential consideration for university students not only as an alternative factor in finding employment, but also from the perspective of the entire life. Today, most universities in Korea are operating entrepreneurship education programs, such as entrepreneurship classes as a curriculum, and start-up clubs as a non-curricular program to foster entrepreneurship among university students. In previous studies, entrepreneurship is a factor influencing the entrepreneurship intention. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effects of university students' entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurship intention through a entrepreneurship education program (participation in a start-up club, taking an entrepreneurship course) on entrepreneurship behavior. There are some empirical studies on whether entrepreneurship education programs such as participation in startup contests affect the entrepreneurship intention of university students, but not much compared to their importance. It is difficult to find an empirical study examining the effects of entrepreneurship and start-up education programs on entrepreneurship intention and entrepreneurship behavior in domestic and foreign studies. Therefore, in this study, one domestic university that operates a start-up club and a entrepreneurship course was selected and the online questionnaire was distributed to all current students, and the collected 127 questionnaires were used for empirical analysis As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that initiative and risk-taking, which are sub-factors of entrepreneurship of university students, had a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial intention, respectively, and that innovation did not have a significant positive effect. Second, it was confirmed that university students' participation in a start-up club, a sub-factor of the start-up education program, had a significant positive effect on their entrepreneurial intention, and that taking a start-up course did not have a significant positive effect. Third, it was confirmed that the entrepreneurial intention of university students had a significant positive effect on entrepreneurship behavior. Fourth, it was confirmed that the entrepreneurial intention had a mediating effect between each of the factors of risk-taking, and participation in a start-up club and entrepreneurial behavior. This study suggests that university students can increase their risk-taking, increase their entrepreneurial intention by participating in a startup club, and reach a entrepreneurial behavior through this as a medium.

  • This study was performed to develop educational materials in the form of card news that can be easily accessed on mobile phones or the Internet for milk intake education of the elderly based on the scientific evidence and their needs. The themes included in the card news were selected based on the literature and focus group interviews with 10 elderly individuals (78.10±6.66 years old). For the selected themes, information that elderly users most want to know was selected for the purpose of effective communication, while reflecting the eating habits, lifestyle, living environment, and nutrition and health status of the elderly in Korea. The draft of the card news was reviewed by the researcher, consulted by experts, and surveyed with 50 elderly individuals (70.44±5.16 years old). Based on the results of the review, consultations, and the survey, a final draft of the card news consisting of 12 pages was completed. The card news of the present study is expected to be an effective educational material considering the high level of satisfaction (higher than 4 on the 5-point scales) indicated by the survey respondents. Therefore this card news is expected to help increase milk intake through friendly milk education for the elderly.

As a result of the correlation analysis, there was a significant positive correlation between the meaning of life, academic satisfaction and academic engagement, there was also a positive correlation between academic satisfaction and academic engagement. As a result of confirming the direct effect on educational satisfaction, the direct effect between the meaning of life as an independent variable and academic engagement as a mediating variable was positively significant. As a result of examining the indirect effect of academic engagement on the relationship between the meaning of life and academic satisfaction, the mediating effect was significant. Through insight into the meaning of life in diddle age, students show engagement for their studies, which leads to academic satisfaction. Therefore, in order to increase the academic satisfaction of adult learner, it is thought that it is necessary to develop a practical education program and a motivation program that can find the meaning of life.

  • The goal of this study was to derive implications for the design of teacher training programs related to boxplots by examining the statistical reasoning patterns of mathematics teachers in group comparison tasks using boxplots. For this purpose, 48 secondary mathematics teachers who participated in a teacher statistics camp at a local office of education were selected as participants. Four sessions of teacher training were then conducted, including basic statistical concepts related to boxplots and group comparison activities using them. Afterwards, surveys with group comparison questions using boxplots and online interviews were conducted. The collected data were analyzed with a focus on the research questions. As a result, most participants relied on summary and spread elements to reason when comparing two groups using boxplots. On the other hand, participants paid little attention to shift and signal elements, and no responses using sampling elements were identified. Additionally, the overall comparative reasoning level of the participants was primarily at level 1 with the highest frequency (44%), and no responses reached level 3. Based on these research results, this paper derives implications for the design of teacher training programs related to boxplots and provides suggestions for follow-up research.

  • Over the past 70 years, movies and television have revolutionized the way people communicate. However, even with this development, TV has been used only as a means of communication targeting an unspecified number of people due to the restriction of media such as radio waves and movies. However, the development of the Internet and online video has come to a time when 100 million people watch YouTube videos uploaded from the other side of the world by eliminating these restrictions. The message that you want to deliver now can be delivered to anyone, but making the image with these messages remains the last obstacle to communication. To solve these problems, we implemented a web application and a video production program through AWS. This system basically provides the administrator with the video production through the easy interface, the information management and the program on the server on the internet through AWS, the assigned lecture including the computer and the smart phone, the learning materials, And implemented to increase the efficiency of educational video production service.

  • The purpose of this study was to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of learning management systems (LMS) in the physical geography class. The study adopted the experimental design and three classes participated in this study. The first class was controlled using only classroom lectures, the second class used PPT slides along with the classroom lectures, and the third class used online video clips along with the lectures. The experiments were conducted from the Spring Semester 2007 to the Spring Semester 2008 for the introductory physical geography course. The study results showed that online learning tools help students improve academic performance and their attitudes towards the class and the instructor. Compared to simple PowerPoint slides, voice recording attached to the visual lecture slide materials enhanced students' motivation. Class lectures with lecture slides did not improve students' scores. However, when the visual materials were combined with voice recording, the number of internet access to online class materials increased, and class attendance and students' final grades were improved. Based on the results, the instructional design model that combines classroom and online learning was suggested.
