A Study on the Integrity Evaluation of the Windings in Cast Resin Transformers Using Vertical Thermal Distribution Analysis (수직온도분포 분석을 이용한 몰드변압기 권선의 건전성 평가 연구)

  • This paper presents the integrity evaluation method of the windings in cast resin transformers using vertical thermal distribution analysis. The method is the result from comparing the temperature distribution in a sound condition specimen with that in the failure condition specimen layer-shorted by accelerated testing. The temperature distribution was acquisited by a infrared thermography system, and the Arrhenius equation was adopted to the accelerated testing. The proposed method may be available to detect the failures in cast resin transformers.

  • 본 연구에서는 실제 조건과 유사하게 모사된 사무실 공간을 대상으로 냉방시 급기 위치에 따른 기온, 기류속도, 복사온도를 측정하여 열환경을 평가하였다. 사무실 공간은 실제의 조건과 유사하게 인체, 조명, 사무기기의 부하를 전기히터로 모사했으며, 외기부하는 벽체에 설치된 열교환기를 통과하는 부동액의 온도를 제어함으로써 모사하였다. 실험 결과 냉방 조건에서는 바닥급기 방식의 경우 평균온도가 천장급기에 비해 낮아 에너지 절약 측면에서 유리함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 천장급기에 비해 수직온도차가 크고 급기구 근처에서는 수직온도차에 의한 불쾌감과 빠른 기류속도에 의한 드래프트의 위험이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The temperature distribution and fluid flow in the chamber was investigated using FLUENT code. It provides comprehensive modeling capabilities for a wide range of incompressible or compressible and laminar or turbulent fluid flow problems. And a broad range of mathematical models for transport phenomena is combined with the ability to model for complex geometries. The geometry of the chamber was very complex, and a simplified model of the chamber was used in the simulation experiment. It was important that the temperature deviation of test site. This datum were provided in the improving the control algorithm. Using this algorithm, the results were with in $0.1^{\circ}C.$

  • The number of railway tunnels has been increasing rapidly. Although fires in long railway tunnels are rare, the consequences can be devastating. Prior to this study, there were no adequate time-temperature curves for the fire safety assessment of Korean railway tunnels. We studied a standard foreign time-temperature curve for which the heat rate is based on the traffic and the types of vehicles. We then proposed a hydrocarbon curve as a fire design model for railway tunnels in Korea. We examined the implications of this proposed model on railway tunnel structures using numerical analysis.

An Experimental Study for Estimation of Effective Temperature for Design in Steel Box Girder Bridge (강박스거더교의 설계 유효온도 산정을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • The temperature data were measured for two years in a bridge specimen and the bridge in service nearby in order to calculate the effective temperature for thermal loads in steel box girder bridge. The maximum and minimum effective temperatures were calculated in the bridge specimen and the bridge according to air temperature in 2014, 2015 and 2years. The effective temperatures calculated in this study were compared the Euro code and the Highway Bridge Design Criteria. The coefficients of determination in the maximum effective temperature and the Euro code for 2 year were calculated from R = 0.927, R = 0.894 in a bridge specimen and the bridge respectively. Those of minimum temperature and the Euro code were analyzed from R = 0.992, R = 0.813 in two bridge respectively. Also, the results were evaluated as being very similar, or slightly increased as compared with the maximum temperature of the Korean Highway Bridge Design Code(Limit State Design).

  • Recently transparent electrodes using carbon nanotube (CNT) have been studied actively to replace conventional ITO. In this work, CNT or ITO coated poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) were prepared by controlling the surfaces since the cohesion degree depends upon drying conditions. As transparent electrode application, 3 drying temperatures were set as 20, 80, and $120^{\circ}C$ to produce the change of surface properties. Interfacial durability and electrical properties of prepared transparent electrodes were evaluated by electrical resistance measurement. Surface change with changing drying temperature was observed by FE-SEM, whereas the transparency change was measured by UV-spectroscopy. The electronic properties of nanoparticle coated surface were evaluated using cyclic voltametry method upon the surface change with controlled drying temperature. Durability of CNT coated surfaces was better than ITO coated ease. As drying temperature increased, better coated surface was prepared due to improved cohesion among nanoparticles, which resulted in increased electrical properties.

CdTe기반의 엑스선 검출기의 표면 구조에 따른 박막의 전기적 특성평가

  • 현대에 이르러 직접방식 엑스선 검출기에서는 기존의 a-Se을 주로 이용하였지만, 고전압 인가에 따른 회로 손상과 짧은 수명, 그리고 누설전류에 따른 안전의 문제 등으로 낮은 에너지 밴드갭과 높은 흡수효율, 비저항 등에 의거한 다양한 대체 물질에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어져가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 직접방식 엑스선 검출물질로 전기이동도와 흡수효율이 뛰어나고, 밴드갭이 낮아 태양전지분야 뿐만 아니라 최근 엑스선 검출물질로 각광받고 있는 CdTe를 선정하였다. 연구의 목적은 PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition)방식의 CdTe 검출 물질의 제작과정에서 CdTe가 기화되어 하부전극 기판에 증착될 시, 하부전극 기판 온도에 따른 CdTe의 박막형성과 전기적 측정을 실시하여 그에 따른 최적의 증착조건을 선정하는 것이다. 하부전극 기판으로는 Au/glass를 사용하였으며 증착 시, $200^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$, $400^{\circ}C$로 나누어 특성을 평가하였다. 시료는 파우더형태의 다결정CdTe를 120 g를 사용하여 증착완료 시, 약 $100{\mu}m$의 박막두께를 구현하였다. PVD증착의 조건으로는 Mo재질의 보트를 사용하였으며, 증착 시 진공도는 $5{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr, 보트온도는 약 $350^{\circ}C$ 소요시간은 5시간이었다. 증착이 완료된 CdTe의 표면구조와 전기적 특성평가를 위해 SEM촬영을 실시하였고, 전기적 특성 평가를 위해 CdTe표면에 Au를 PVD방식으로 증착하였다. 실험 결과 SEM촬영을 이용한 표면특성에서는 하부전극 기판의 온도가 높아질수록 표면 결정입자가 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 전기적 특성에서도 하부전극 기판의 온도가 증가할수록 RQA-5 조건의 70 kVp, 100 mA, 0.03 sec 엑스선에 대한 우수한 민감도와 암전류 값을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 증착과정에서 온도에 따른 다결정 CdTe의 표면결정 크기 증가는 동일한 면적에서 표면결정 수의 감소를 뜻한다. 이는 결정간의 경계에서 트랩 되어지는 전자가 감소하고, 전자의 이동도 또한 높은 효율을 나타냄을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통하여 CdTe기반의 직접방식 엑스선 검출기 제작과정에서 증착 시 하부전극기판 온도가 증가할수록 결정의 크기가 증가하여 최적의 전기적 특성을 나타냄을 검증할 수 있었다.

Evaluation on Adequate Range of Carbonization Temperature using Swine Manure through Reaction Kinetics (반응속도 분석을 통한 돈분의 탄화 온도 적정범위 평가)

  • Since the heating values of swine manures were very low at 859~1,075 kcal/kg, it was necessary to convert to carbonization residue by carbonization processes among thermal processes. The most important factor in the carbonization process of swine manure is the carbonization temperature, and it was evaluated the optimal range of carbonization temperature for swine manure in this study by the thermal characteristics and the reaction kinetics. The carbonization of swine manure could be described by the 1st order reaction and Arrhenius equation. The frequency factor (lnA) and the activation energy were estimated to be 3.05~13.08 and 6.94~18.05 kcal/mol, respectively. The range of optimal carbonization temperature range of swine manure was $260{\sim}300^{\circ}C$.

  • Pavement management systems (PMS) provide procedures to quantify road serviceability based on pavement conditions such as cracks and plastic deformation and suggest proper maintenance methods. The deterioration of the road pavement is relevant to the time although the quantifications on road serviceability in PMS present road surface conditions at the evaluation. More systematic evaluation on road serviceability may need time-dependent factors of road environments and that can improve PMS. Rainfall, temperature and vehicle loads can be environmental factors for road serviceability evaluation. As no data are avablie that can link between road conditions and environmental road factors, we conducted experiments to suggest economical devices and methods to obtain relevant data. We used temperature sensors and accelerometers with Arduino to measure road surface temperature and dynamic loads and provide data to improve pavement serviceability evaluation.

  • 개념적 강우-유출모형에서 토양수분과 관련된 물리적 거동은 간략화 된 형태로 강우 및 온도자료를 활용하여 중간변량(state variable)으로 간접적으로 고려되고 있다. 특히 강우-유출모형에 초기함수 조건은 선행함수조건을 고려하여 수문지질학적 평가를 통하여 결정되어야 하나, 일반적으로 가정되거나 모형에서 간략화 된 분석과정을 통해 추정되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 토양의 Water Balance 모형 기반의 개념적 토양수분 추정모형을 활용하였다. 토양수분의 시간적 변동성을 평가하는데 있어서 연속적으로 측정된 In-situ 토양수분 자료를 이용하여 모형의 적합성을 평가하였다. Green-Ampt 방법과 중력식 침투방법과 온도를 활용한 증발산 추정기법을 연계한 토양함수 평가 모형을 개발하였다. In-situ 토양수분 자료와 유역의 강수량 및 온도자료를 이용한 관련 매개변수를 Bayesian 기법을 통해 추정하였으며 매개변수의 민감도를 평가하여 제시하였다. 최종적으로 제안된 모형의 활용측면에서 강우-유출모형의 초기함수 조건으로써의 역할을 평가하였다. 구체적으로 첨두유량 및 유출고와 초기함수조건과의 관계를 제시하고 강우-유출모형에서 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다.
