자유곡면의 온더머신 측정 및 검사를 위한 시스템 설계 (System Synthesis for On-the-Machine Measuring and Inspection of Freeform Surfaces)

  • Measurement and inspection of freeform surfaces are required in reverse design processes. In the case of surface measurement using a touch probe, probe radius compensation affects measuring accuracy. But current industrial practice depends upon an operator's experience to compensate for probe radius. In this paper, an on-the-machine measuring and inspection system for freeform surfaces is studied. Probe radius compensation methodology is investigated by modeling of B-spline surfaces based on digitized data. The accuracy and reliability of the developed system is verified through various kinds of numerical simulations and on-the-machine experiments.

  • Interactive Measuring part Program Generating Tools (IMPPGT) realized on the FANUC 15MA using touch trigger probes and interactive macro functions os the CNC were developed for an intelligent measuring and inspection systems on the machine tools. Menu driven measuring and inspection functions of the IMPPGT were studied and implemented on the CNC through the macro executer and ROM writer. In order to automate measurement and inspection procedures in machine shops measuring G Code system was also proposed. Using the developed measuring G Code system on the machine tool untended measurement and inspection operation was able to be realized in FMS lines.

  • In order tominimize fixing error of workpieces, circle, prismatic, sphere, cylindrical and sculptures types. Modification Rule by Indexing Table and Modification Rule by NC Program are developed for machining centers by using touch trigger probes. The Modification Rule by Indexing Table meas the alignment of workpiece to NC program through degree of freedoms of indexing table. The Modification Rule by NC Program is the alognment of NC program to workpiece ste-tp condition via the generation of NC progarm. A postprocessing module is alos developed for generating NC-part program(User Macro) to compensate for machining errors in end milling and boring processes. Developed method are verified by experiments.

  • MascMC system is one of the MMC system module which performs measuring and checking of machined workpieces on the machine tools. Accuracy of the MascMC was compensated for developing a reliable measuring system by measurement error calibration. Reference gauges, ring gauges, block gauges,squares, spheres and cylindrical squares, were used for error identification and compensation. .+-. 10 .mu. m accuracy with 95% confidence interval was confirmed on the vertical and the horizontal machining center through the large number of experiments.

  • Design methodology of Interactive Measuring Part Program Generating Tools(IMPPGT) realized on the FANUC 15MA using touch trigger probes and interactive macro functions of the CNC was described in this paper. Measuring G codes were designed according to geometric form, precision attributes, relations between parts, datum hierarchies, and relevant technological data by using measuring arguments. Menu driven measuring and inspection functions of the IMPPGT were studied and implemented on the CNC through the macro executor and ROM writer. Using the developed measuring G code system on the machine tool, untended measurement and inspection operation was able to be realized in precision FMS lines.
