An Advanced Phase Angle Measurement Algorithm And Error Analysis (개선된 위상 측정 알고리즘과 오차 해석)

  • An advanced algorithm for measurement of phase angle between two sinusoidal signals is proposed in this paper. This algorithm uses discrete sample data of two input signals for calculation of phase angle and amplitude. And the key parameters of the measurement algorithm are described by analytical express, so the calculation of phase angle is simplified. In this paper it is proved that harmonic distortion of the input sinusoidal signals does not affect the measurement value of phase angle by using the proposed algorithm when a whole cycle is sampled. And measurement error by the white Gaussian noise is very small compared by other algorithms.

  • A direction finding(DF) technology of a signal is very important for electronic warfare and has studied for a long time. The method of TDOA(time difference of arrival) is one of good DF methods in this time, and that is to receive an emitter signal with two antennas, to measure the time difference of a signal at two antennas, and converse the time difference to direction of the signal. For small DF error, high time resolution receiver and long baseline are needed. In this paper we suggest a good baseline with adaptive antenna arrangement into 10m*10m area.

Sampling Set Selection Algorithm for Weighted Graph Signals (가중치를 갖는 그래프신호를 위한 샘플링 집합 선택 알고리즘)

  • A greedy algorithm is proposed to select a subset of nodes of a graph for bandlimited graph signals in which each signal value is generated with its weight. Since graph signals are weighted, we seek to minimize the weighted reconstruction error which is formulated by using the QR factorization and derive an analytic result to find iteratively the node minimizing the weighted reconstruction error, leading to a simplified iterative selection process. Experiments show that the proposed method achieves a significant performance gain for graph signals with weights on various graphs as compared with the previous novel selection techniques.

  • A sampling set selection algorithm is proposed to reconstruct original graph signals from the sampled signals generated on the nodes in the sampling set. Instead of directly minimizing the reconstruction error, we focus on minimizing the upper bound on the reconstruction error to reduce the algorithm complexity. The metric is manipulated by using QR factorization to produce the upper triangular matrix and the analytic result is presented to enable a greedy selection of the next nodes at iterations by using the diagonal entries of the upper triangular matrix, leading to an efficient sampling process with reduced complexity. We run experiments for various graphs to demonstrate a competitive reconstruction performance of the proposed algorithm while offering the execution time about 3.5 times faster than one of the previous selection methods.

A study on bio-signal process for prosthesis arm control (인공의수의 능동 제어를 위한 생체 신호 처리에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, an algorithm to classify the 4 motions of arm and a control system to position control the prosthesis are studied. To classify the 4 motions, we use flex sensors which is electrical resistance type sensor that can measure warp of muscle. The flex sensors are attached to the biceps brchii muscle and coracobrachialis muscle and the sensor signals are passed the sensing system. 4 motion of the forearm - flexion and extension, the pronation and supination are classified from this. Also position of forearm is measured from the classified signals. Finally, A two D.O.F prosthesis arm with RC servo-motor is designed to verify the validity of the algorithm. At this time, fuzzy controller is used to reduce the position error by rotary inertia and noise. From the experiment, the position error had occurred within about 5 degree.

  • In recent wireless communications, direct conversion transceiver or If sampling SDR-based receivers have being designed as an alternative to conventional transceiver topologies. In direct conversion receiver a.chitectu.e, the 1.equency/phase offset between the RF input signal and the local oscillator signal is a major impairment factor even though the conventional AFC/APC compensates the service deterioration due to the offset. To rover the limited tracking range of the conventional method and effectively aid compensation scheme in terms of I/Q channel imbalances, the frequency/phase offset compensation in RF-front end signal stage is proposed in this paper. In RF-front end, the varying phase offset besides the fixed large frequency/phase offset are corrected by using early-late phase compensator. A more simple frequency and phase tacking function in digital signal processing stage of direct conversion receiver is effectively available by an ingenious frequency/phase offset tracking method in RF front-end stage.

Effective PPG Signal Processing Method for Detecting Emotional Stimulus (감성 자극 판단을 위한 효과적인 PPG 신호 처리 방법)

  • In this study, we propose a signal processing algorithm to measure the arousal level of a human subject using a PPG(Photoplethysmography) sensor. From the measured PPG signals, the arousal level is determined by PPI(Pulse to Pulse Interval) and discrete-time signal processing. We ran psychophysical experiments displaying visual stimuli on TV display while measuring PPG signal from a finger, where the nature landscape scenes were used for restorative effect, and the urban environments were used to stimulate the stress. However, the measured PPG signals may include noise due to subject movement and measurement error, which results in incorrect detections. In this paper, to mitigate the noise impact on stimulus detection, we propose a detecting algorithm using digital signal processing methods and statistics of measured signals. A filter is adopted to remove a high frequency noise and adaptively designed taking into account the statistics of the measured PPG signals. Moreover we employ a hysteresis method to reduce the distortion of PPI in decision of emotional. Via experiment, we show that the proposed scheme reduces signal noise and improves stimulus detection.

  • 본 논문에서는 실내 환경에서 신호세기를 이용한 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)인식 방법과 신호의 도착 시간 차이를 이용한 TDOA(Time Difference Of Arrival )인식 방법을 이용하여 태그 위치 측정 및 오차 보정 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 물체 위치 인식을 위해 기존의 제안된 거리에 따라 발생하는 경로손실(Path Loss) 방정식과 신호의 도착 시간차이를 이용하여 태그를 인식한 다음 삼각측량법과 SX 알고리즘을 이용하여 태그의 위치를 측정한다. 또한, 실내 환경의 다양한 오차를 포함하고 있는 태그의 위치 측정 데이터에 대해 확장된 칼만 필터를 사용하여 오차를 보정하는 방법을 제안한다. 마지막으로 몇 개의 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 응용 가능성을 증명한다.

  • 선진국에서의 GPS 위성정보를 활용한 자세결정 센서개발은 새로운 GPS 관련연구 분야로 떠오르고 있는 실정이다. 지금까지 국제학회에 보고된 대부분의 연구는 GPS 위성신호의 Carrier phase 측정을 통해 고중차등을 이용한 방법으로 주로 3-D 자세결정방식에 치중하고 있으나, 아직 실무에서의 활용은 이른 것으로 알려지고 있다. 본 논문은 GPS 위성신호의 범용이 C/A 코드 프로세싱 GPS 수신기 정보를 활용하여 선박의 방위센서 개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 1차적으로 GPS 위성신호의 오차벡터를 진시간으로 측정 및 분석을 통해 GPS 위성오차중 가장 심각한 S/A 오차 발생기간에도 방위센서 구측을 위한 정보획득에는 문제가 되지 않음을 확인하였고, 수신된 Two-Point 위성정보를 이용 새로운 선박의 방위센서 "GPS-Compass"를 구측 비선형 모델하에서의 해상 실험을 통해 본 연구에서 제시한 "GPS-Compass"의 새로운 선박 방위센서로의 활용가능성을 보였다.박 방위센서로의 활용가능성을 보였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 준능동형 제진장치로 복합형 제진장치(HMD, Hybrid Mass Damper)의 운용에 요구되는 제어알고리즘 개발에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 제어력을 산정하기 위한 알고리즘 내장화 과정에서 구조물의 상태를 피드백하기 위해서는 구조물의 가속도를 계측하고 이로부터 변위, 속도를 추정하게 되는데 여기서 발생하는 오차의 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 GPS의 실시간 변위측정기술을 활용하여 변위를 직접 입력하면서 구조물의 응답을 제어할 수 있는 알고리즘을 구성하려 한다. 이 때 측정된 데이터의 값에는 잡음이 발생하고 미분기의 동적특성을 가지고 있는 HMD에 입력신호로 사용하는 경우 상당한 오차가 생기는 변위 되먹임(Feedback)의 문제점을 확인하였다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 제진장치 입력신호의 시간간격(Time-interval)을 조정하여 오차를 줄일 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 수치해석결과, 입력신호에는 최적의 시간간격(Time-Interval)이 존재하였으며 이를 적용할 경우 건물의 변위와 가속도 응답을 크게 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.
