熱線風速計에 의한 測定方法

  • 유속의 최초 측정방법은 Torricelli (1608-1647)가 Bernoulli 방정식을 오리피스에 적용하여 유속 계산식 v =k.root.2gh를 유도하였고, 그 이후 역시 Bernoulli 방정식을 이용하여 Henri Pitot (1695-1771)는 정체점에 대한 이론을 고려하여 정체압을 측정하는 방법으로 가는관을 이용하여 Seine 강의 유속을 측정하는데 성공하므로서 이론적인 유속계산식 v =k.root.2gh는 가장 원시적인 피토우관(Pito-tube) 이나 오리피스에 의한 유속계산식이지만, 현재에 아무리 전기적인 정밀측정 방법과 레이저에 의한 측정방법이 개발되어도 결국 피토우관에 의한 측정값이나 압력측정치와의 교정(Calibration)이 선행되지 않으면 안되기 때문에, 피토우관에 의한 측정방법은 가장 원시적 이면서 가장 정확한 측정방법의 하나이다. 다만 피토우관에 의한 측정은 속도장내의 평균속도를 측정하게 되고 난류성분의 해석이 불가능하며, 그 측정이 일차원 유동에 국한된다는 것이 단점 으로 되어 있다. 이러한 점들을 보완할 수 있는 측정장치 들이 많이 개발되고 있으나 본 해설 에서는 공기유동의 경우 우리가 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 열선풍속계에 대하여 그 용법을 논하기 로 한다.

Opening Characteristics of a Main Oxidizer Shut-off Valve (연소기 산화제 개폐밸브 개방 특성)

  • We study opening transient responses of a self-sustainable poppet valve, which is usually used for the main oxidizer shut-off valve of liquid rocket engines. In order to perform numerical analysis, a pneumatic supply system was simulated as an orifice with a diameter of 3.2 mm and the equations of motion of valve moving part were derived. For the validation of the study, a comparison of numerical predictions and experimental results has been done. As one of the practical applications of this study, the employment of an orifice in a high pneumatic pressure has been presented to control the valve opening time.

High-performance Magneto-rheological Damper Design (고성능 MR댐퍼의 설계)

  • This study shows the design process of a MR damper for semi-active suspension systems. Damping force characteristics of the designed damper was predicted through the flow analysis and magnetic analysis. The predicted results were compared with the experimental results and the initial design specification was modified according to the results.

  • 본 연구에서는 가변용량형 사판식 액시얼 피스톤 펌프의 가변용량 시스템에 있어서 actuator piston의 가공정도와 실린더사이의 간극의 변화에 따른 응답성 및 누설용량에 끼치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 가변용량형 사판식 액시얼 피스톤 펌프는 사판의 각도를 조절함으로써 유량을 조절하게 된다. 사판의 각도조절은 actuator piston에 의해 행해지며, 가변용량부의 어느 설정압력에 도달하면, 이 actuator piston이 사판을 밀어 사판의 각도를 변화 시키게 된다. 지배방정식으로는 spool과 사판의 운동방정식과 각 chamber의 누설 유량이 있다. 이들 방정식을 \ulcorner으로써 각 부분의 운동을 해석할 수 있게 된다. 여기에서 해석이 어려운 부분은 각 계수들의 결정이며 simulation을 할 때는 이로한 계수들을 이론적으로 결정을 하게 되고, 실험을 통해 검증하도록 한다. 즉, 각 운동뷰의 감쇠계수와 각 오리피스를 통한 유량계수, 그리고 감쇠계수 등은 실험을 통해 검토한다. 실험을 통한 측정에서는 각 chamber의 압력은 각 chamber에 연결된 압력센서 3개에 의해 행해지며, 사판의 각도는 angle 센서에 의해 측정하게 된다. 그리고 actuator piston과 블럭 사이의 간극을 조절하여 누설계수를 변화시키며, 그 영향을 살펴보았다.

Numerical Analysis on the Determination of Head Loss by Perforated Vertical Walls (연직 유공벽의 수두손실 결정을 위한 수치해석)

  • A numerical analysis and hydraulic experiments were undertaken to investigate the head loss occurring when a flow passes through vertical perforated walls. The numerical analysis applied continuity, momentum and energy equations to the control volumes that were set near the perforated wall. Non-dimensional equations were then derived to calculate both upstream depth and head loss for the given values of downstream depth and velocity. The hydraulic experiments were performed with several single and triple perforated plates varying their opening ratios and intervals. The numerical results with the single plates were compared with the experimental results, and it was shown that the contraction coefficient of the vertical line jet formed after the perforated plates relies on downstream Froude number as well as opening ratio. Based on the experimental results, empirical formulas were formulated. Finally, the formulas were applied to the triple plates sequentially from downstream side to upstream side, and it was found that in general the predicted values nicely agreed with the experimental results.

  • This study examined the static characteristics of a spool valve with a hybrid lap between the spool land and the sleeve. The static equation for the pressure characteristics was derived from flow equations that depend on the spool displacement, and the final model was derived from $q_a=q_b=0$ because the pressure characteristics test needs to block the control port in the valve. The static equation for the flow characteristics was derived from the pressure characteristics when the control port is open ($q_a=q_b$, $p_a=p_b$). The characteristic equation in the shifted region was assumed from the proportional relationship between the pressure-flow characteristics and the spool displacement.

  • Dynamic characteristics of compressible flow fields in super-circled constricted tube have been studied numerically. By applying MacCormack's explicit scheme, time marching method with predictor/corrector step, Euler equation is solved to find characteristics of fluid flow in a constricted tube where a two-dimensional inviscid compressible flow is assumed. The effects of tube diameter and aspect ratios on the pressure variations are discussed extensively. The results of the developed numerical schemes are compared with those of commercial FLUENT code, and show a good agreement.

  • 부유식 파랑에너지 변환시스템(Oscillating Water Column)에서 에너지 변환은 입력파와 챔버, 챔버내 공기의 상호작용으로 이루어진다. 이 논문은 파랑에너지를 기계적 운동으로 변환하는 기계적 특성을 해석한다. 단일 진동수 규칙파가 입력되었을 때에 파에 의하여 챔버의 상하운동이 선형적으로 발생하며, 이 상하운동은 챔버내의 압력 변화에 영향을 받는다. 상하운동과 챔버내로 투과한 파, 그리고 챔버내 압력에 의해 발생되는 파에 의해 챔버내의 상대운동을 정하고, 그 상대운동에 의한 공기의 압축 팽창과 온도상승을 근사적 열역학적 방정식으로 해석하여 오리피스를 통한 유량과 압력을 기준으로 에너지 변환요율을 결정하였다. 얻어진 식은 간단하면서도 관련요소의 영향을 전반적으로 표현한다. 개구율 변화에 따른 운동응답을 비교하였다.

  • In this work, mathematical models are newly presented for three types of double-acting oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers as the first part of a comparative study on the several types of double-acting oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers. After a typical single-acting shock absorber model is presented for the sake of completeness, mathematical models of three types of double-acting shock absorbers are proposed. To derive the models, Bernoulli equation and orifice discharge coefficient are utilized along with the assumptions of incompressibility and poly-tropic process. The proposed models are expected to be used for investigation of the salient features of several types of double-acting oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers.

Optimization of flow performance by designing orifice shape of outdoor unit of air-conditioner (에어컨 실외기 냉각팬 시스템의 오리피스 형상 설계를 통한 유량 성능 최적화)

  • The performance of an air conditioner is closely related to the cooling performance of a split-type outdoor unit so that, in most of the relevant preceding studies, the independent performance of an axial fan in an outdoor unit has been studied. However, there is a lack of research on the effects of other components in an outdoor units was rarely investigated. Therefore, in this paper, the effects of the fan orifice among other parts on the flow performance of the outdoor unit was numerically investigated. A virtual fan tester consisting of 18 million grids was developed for highly resolved flow simulation. The unsteady RANS (Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes) equations are numerically solved by using finite-volume CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) techniques. In order to verify the validity of the numerical methods, the predicted P-Q curve of the cooling fan in a full outdoor unit is compared with the measured one. Optimization of orifice shape was carried out for maximum flow performance of the outdoor unit using the validated numerical method.
