  • To obtain the basic data applicable for the breed preservation, hemogram and blood chemical values in Korean native Ogol fowls were investigated. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. Erythrocytic and leukocyte counts did not show the significant differences along with growth and further differences in both male and female were not significant. 2. In blood chemical values, total Protein and blood glucose showed a tendency of increase with age in both sexes and cholesterol figured constant level at any ages in both sexes. In general, however, the values of cholesterol of male were higher than those of female.

  • Meat color, general composition and Putting force of Korean native Ogol fowls were investigated. These results were as follows. The contents of moisture and crude protein were higher in breast than in thigh. However, the contents of crude fat and fiber were higher in thigh than in breast. There were no significant differences in these contents with weeks of age. L, a, b value of Korean native Ogol fowls were showed grey by Hunter Color Solid. Cutting force of thigh was greater than that of breast. Also, cutting force of male was greater than that of female. Those cutting forces were increased as weeks of age increased.

  • More than 1,000 chickens of Korean native Yeonsan Ogolgye (Natural Monument No. 256) were used in this study in order to investigate their various external characteristics. The aims of this study were to define the Ogolgye chicken as a breed, and to provide basal data necessary for the genetic improvement of this breed. The investigated items are as follows : color of feather and toe; presense or absence of shank feather; the number of toes: color of shank and comb; the growth rates of shank, comb and feathers in various feather tracts; and finally, the livability. Data and informations were presented in tabular form in table 1 through 12. In summary, the various external traits of the Korean native Ogolgye breed can be characterized as follows. It has normal feather than silkic one as in the western type, with black color per-dominant. The frquency of white feather color is very low. The color of toes is devided into two categories; black toes in black plumage lines, and white toes in white plumage lines. Both seres have single combs with black color. The shank is gray- black and featherless. The breed has normally four toes. The eye color is black.

  • Modern society is an age of vagueness and confusion. In addition, vagueness, complexity and variety are seen throughout art including modern philosophy, literature, and environmental design. A phenomenon like this shows that modern society has integrated different components as an organic relationship frequently crossing the boundary of fields. This feature can be regarded as hybrid related with accepting contradictory components and binding them into one under relationship between part and whole. As new design concept, presented are attitude to accept the two instead of attitude to select one of the alternatives, abundance instead of dearness, and ambiguity instead of simplicity. This principle has a crucial influence on creative design providing opposing contradiction and several alternative plans as non-deterministic form not completed one and, above all, useful information in mutual dependence and mutual relationship. When it comes to hybrid, therefore, a strategy is needed to consider layer of several fields getting out of standardizing space into a single space. As an event of this situation and concept, space experience means behaving freely based on experience of users' body. It can be known that this experience brings about users' more dynamic experience in comparison with the experience of seeing environmental design from a viewpoint of visual ism on the existing simplicity. Such a practical experience is subjective, synesthetic, and non-observational one. Therefore, hybrid has brought active users to the stage, which is distinguished from synesthesia felt through body's experience, not through observational attitude and visual space which achieve former balance and harmony with non-determination. That's because hybrid creatures are turning to a product resulted from creative imagination instead of from reappearance which makes text visualized. Such experience performed by user's active participation collapses the boundary between special elite-centered art and daily life and it is the present progressive form showing creation process of future events and new esthetic experience.

  • Fifty of one day-old chicks of silky fowl were hatched at Dept. of Animal Science, Gyeongsang National University and fifty of one day-old chicks of quails were hatched at Gim Hae, Gyung Nam. This experiment was investigated at 24 hours after incubation. Twee items investigated in this experiment were the live weights, the weights of head, eye-ball, brain, heart, liver, lung, kidney, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and yolk sac. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1, Average weights of body, head, eye-ball brain, heart, liver, lung, kidney, stomach, small intestine, large intesine and yolk sac of the quail chicks and standard errors were 6.54${\pm}$0.02g, 1.38${\pm}$0.l3g, 0.29${\pm}$0.004g, 0.24${\pm}$0.006g, 0.08${\pm}$0.002g, 0.21${\pm}$0.005g, 0.06${\pm}$0.002g, 0.05${\pm}$0. 002g, 0.46${\pm}$0.010g, 0.24${\pm}$0.008g, 0.10${\pm}$0.004g, and 0.28${\pm}$0.0l6g, respectively. 2. Average weights of body, head, eye-ball, brain, heart, liver, lung, kidney, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and yolk sac of the silky fowl chicks and standard errors were 26.60${\pm}$0.491g, 4.28${\pm}$0.071g, 0.64${\pm}$0.039g, 0.55${\pm}$0.025g, 0.21${\pm}$0.0l2g, 0.77${\pm}$0.030g, 0.13${\pm}$0.006g, 0.08${\pm}$0.006g, 1,53${\pm}$0.076g 0.73${\pm}$0.036g, 0.42${\pm}$0.031g, and 2.65${\pm}$0.297g, respectively. 3. The relative ratios of the organ weight versus body weight in guails were compared with those of the commercial chicks (Hibro, Hubbard, and Hisex) and silky fowls. It was noted that the relative weights of the brain and eye ball with respect to body weight were larger in case of quails (Table 3). The weights of heart, liver, lung, kidney, stomach and small intestine in silky fowl were smaller than those of commercial chicks and quail chicks. Other items were similar in weight to commercial chicks ana quail chicks.
