Leaf Growth and Forage Yield in Three Cultivars of Orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) over Cutting Stages II. Relationship between forage yield and growth indices (오차드그라스(Dactylis glomerata L.) 品種들의 刈取에 따른 葉生長과 收量形成 Ⅱ. 오차드그라스 品種들의 生長指數들과 乾物收量과의 關係)

  • The response of forage yield was studied with various growth indices to develop yield model and to determine optimum cutting time in three cultivars of orchardgrass. 1. Number of tiller per plant was the highest at 3rd cutting stage. But, it was decreased rapidly at 4th cutting stage. Leaf Area Index (LAI) was the highest at 3rd cutting stage. LAI was increased slowly during 15 days to 20 days after cutting and thereafter increased rapidly. 2. In dry matter yield over cutting stages, 1st cutting and 3rd cutting stages were higher yield than others. Change of dry matter yield was similar to that of LAI in all cutting stages. 3. Leaf Elongation Rate (LER) and Specific Leaf Weight (SLW) were reached to maximum at 20 to 25 days and 25 to 30 days after cutting, respectively. 4. Dry matte yield was highly correlated with LAI (r-0.905)and with CGR (r-0.962) over three cultivars. Also, LAI was significantly with LER. The best-fit yield model was obtained in multiple regression equation which included both dependent variables of LAI and CGR. 5. Optimum cutting times which were determined by the relationships between D.M. yield and LAI, and between D.M. yield and CGR, were ranged from 32 days to 36 days depend on each cutting stages.

  • The number of regrown shoots per plant for 2 weeks after mowing sharply increased in response to late mowing until June 6, and then the increments were slow. The number of regrown shoots for July 30 were many with early mowing until May 14, and then the numbers were rapidly decreased. The plant height regrown for 2 weeks after mowing was increased until May 14, and then decreased. The plant height regrown for July 30 was not sensitive to mowing time and the development was linearly shown. The fresh weight regrown for July 30 was only increased by late mowing. The regrowth rate of shoots for 2 weeks after mowing was much higher than untreated control and the ratio was decreased with late mowing and the ratio to untreated for control for July 30 was decreased up to 50% by late mowing. The regrowth rate of plant height for 2 weeks after mowing was rapidly decreased, but slowly decreased for July 30 mowing. The regrowth rate of fresh weight was higher until May 22, and then rapidly decreased by late mowing. The decreasing tendency for 2 weeks after mowing was more prominent them for July 30. The annual regrowth rates in shoots and plant height were slowly decreased, but the decreasing rate in fresh weight was rapidly done until May 15, and then decrement became up to 30% by late mowing.

  • The cutting schedule for the maximum yield of DM and quality was applied to alfalfa swards. Harvesting at the cutting time for the maximum total yield to (Chang 1971) was selected as the criterion which provided the highest DM yield in accordance with high consistent levels of CP and IVD as well as persistance of the species in the pure stands. On the same theoretical basis, ceiling LAI and 25% bloom stages proved most satisfactory for harvesting pure stands of alfalfa.

Effects of Seeding Rate on Forage Yield and Feed Value of Rye in Paddy Field (파종량이 답리작 호밀의 수량과 사료가치에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of experiment was to investigate the effects of seeding rate on forage yield and feed value, and to clarify the optimum seeding rate of rye in middle west area when cultured in paddy field. The field experiment treated with 5 levels of seeding rate was carried out at Yesan area in 1989. The plant height and the number of tillers per m' were increased but the dry matter rate was decreased as seeding rate increased. The fresh and dry weights of rye plant were increased as seeding rate increased. The highest yield was obtained from the harvest of May 15 and 25 in Yesan area. The TDN content and RFV were decreased by the increased seeding rate and delayed cutting date. The highest TDN yield was obtained from the seeding rate of 18kg/l0a and the next highest yield was obtained from the 23kg and 28kg/l0a seeding rate. The content of ENE, NEL, NEM, and NEG was decreased by the increased seeding rate and delayed cutting date. The highest ENE and NEL yields were obtained from the seeding rate of 23kg/l0a and May 15 harvest. The highest NEM and NEG yields were obtained from the seeding rates of 18kg/l0a and May 15 harvest, and of 18-28kg/l0a and May 5 harvest, respectively.

Observation of morphological change of paddy rice under the condition of deep ploughing and heavy fertilization (심경다비료재배조건하에서 수도의 형태변화에 관한 연구)

  • This experiment was done to observe the morphological change of plant under the cultivation of deep ploughing and heavy fertilization with paddy rice 1963 at Seoul. A seedling of 35 days old was transplanted June 1st, in a galvanized iron pot with botton 20 cm in diameter, which was painted white inside and filled with sand mixed with fertilizers. The treatments were 15cm soil depth of normal fertilization, 30cm of fertilization twice and 45cm of fertilization thrice. Replications were three. The plant was observed on main stem Aug. 6 before heading, Sep. 12 after heading and Oct. 17 at the time of harvest at the same pot. The results are as follows. The length and the width of leaf blades of the upper part on main stem have the tendency to be big and vigorous with the deep ploughing and heavy fertilizations(Fig 1, 2, 3 and 4). The number and the size of vascular bundles of main stem is to increase when the paddy is cultivated with the method of deep ploughing and heavy fertilizations(Fig 5). The number and the weight of roots of main stem increases with deep ploughing and heavy fertilizations(Fig 6).

  • 3륜 승용관리기는 4륜 승용관리기에 비하여 작업기를 복부에 장착함으로 작업의 정밀도, 편이성, 관측의 용이성 향상과 함께 지상고 제고, 차폭 조절, 조향 등의 성능 개선을 기할 수 있다. 국내에서는 3륜 승용관리기용 복부 장착 부속작업기가 거의 개발되어 있지 않으며, 특히 두류 재배에 있어서 일관기계화 작업을 위한 관리작업기의 개발이 매우 필요한 실정이다. 콩의 순 지르기 작업은 콩이 지나친 생육을 한 경우 미리 줄기의 윗부분을 제거하는 저심처리를 해주면 곁가지들의 왕성한 생육을 유도하여 많은 꼬투리를 얻고 쓰러짐도 줄어들어 수량을 높일 수 있다. 순 지르기 작업은 보통 낫이나 배부식 예취기를 이용하여 작업함으로 노동력이 많이 들고 작업부담이 심하여 개선이 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 3륜 승용관리기에 적합한 복부장착형의 순 지르기 작업기를 설계 제작하였다. 3륜 승용관리기용 순 지르기 작업기는 승용관리기의 복부 PTO에서의 구동력 전달을 위한 연결 조인트, 중간축, 기어 전동기구, 구동축으로 구성된 동력전달부, 2 조의 원판형 작업 날, 다양한 조간거리에 적응을 위한 조간조정 나사부, 3륜 승용관리기에의 부착을 위한 프레임 및 부착보조 작업기 이동용 바퀴장치 등으로 구성 설계 제작하였다. 원판형 칼날은 시판 중인 예취기의 외경 305 mm, 칼날 톱니 수 90개의 초경 비트 부착 날을 사용하였다. 작업 날의 승강높이는 150~540 mm 범위로 조절하도록 하였다. 조간거리의 조절범위는 수동나사에 의하여 660~860 mm 범위로 무단조절 할 수 있도록 하였다. 순 지르기 작업기는 3륜 승용 관리기 복부의 평행링크에 부착되므로 작업기의 이동 및 부착 편이를 위하여 이동용 바퀴를 설치하였다. 제작된 순 지르기 작업기의 크기는 길이${\times}$${\times}$높이가 $514{\times}1138{\times}810mm$, 중량은 약 100 kg으로 제작되었다.
